  1. Or it could be a new dino exhibit since there are some new dino pieces with the Jurassic World sets.
  2. Thanks all for your kind words. Could be wine, could be wiskey :) Really undefined based on the song. The livery color was one of the reasons I picked doing this MOC, it is very striking in LEGO The baby is from Citizen Brick http://citizenbrick.com/collections/accessories/products/minifig-newborn
  3. As BMW mentioned in the Brickworld Chicago 2015 Train Stuff thread, I created a Illinois Central City of New Orleans train. Based on the E Series Engines that ran the line: I used the Railbricks 3 axle truck design and the sloping windows that legoman666 used in his CSX MOC. I send thanks to zephyr1934 for the porthole stickers, we had a fun time trying to match the color :P The car design is very similar to the Emerald Night and I used several train bases from the Horizon Express. Using the song by Arlo Guthry as inspiration for the vingettes here are a few: And my tribute to Steve Goodman in LEGO: You can find all the pics at http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=556911
  4. There are some in http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=556911 but I will be uploading 2 more sometime tonight (from Brickworld). You can also see a few pics of the train on zephyr1934's folder http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=556974 I forgot to get pics of the container train I had running on sunday with 26 container cars and 20 hopper cars. I did not get a full length measuerment either :(
  5. Why not use http://shop.lego.com...Listing=listing to reverse the polarity of one of the motors? You have to have enough room to hide the switch. I use it inside my Maersk (but with quite a bit of internal modding to make it fit). I do like your changes to the model, looks more like a creator knockoff instead of a city one :)
  6. Here's my second longest train, currently 13 cars behind the engine and about 12 1/2 ft long:
  7. I was able to pick up a case of 1 x 4 Tile (2431) in Reddish Brown (for train ties) yesterday. The case is 9.5in x 7.5in x 6in and weighs 5.005 LBs (including the cardboard). Using BL it says the part weight .58g so I estimate over 3,000 tiles in the case, that comes out to about 2 1/2 cents per tile. The larger pieces have less in the case but I am going to guess they are about the same weight. I forgot to weigh the case of 2 x 4 Brick when I bought one last year.

Yes, a good effort! What are your next plans? Build it out of bricks? Create a newer detailed version? A completely different model? rolling stock? So many questions :) Welcome to the forum, I look forward to your future creations!
  9. Think they already did http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Pteranodon-Capture-75915
  10. I have not seen this, I wonder if you have a bad battery. You may want to call customer support on this and see if they will replace it?
  11. I agree with Man with a hat, mine blink while they are charging and solid when it is complete. I have not had an issue where it took 8 hours to charge though.
  12. I also love the integration between all the different lego themes as well as the overall layout. The execution puts it over the top. There are so many interesting ideas, I keep going back looking how different parts were done.
  13. I've created an alternate for the container cars http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=526065 zephyr1934: Have you thought of making any labels for the container cars? Additional Maersk lables or maybe CSX, TTX, etc?
  14. Lego Education site has it, but you won't get VIP points :( https://shop.education.lego.com/legoed/en-US/catalog/product.jsp?productId=8878&isSimpleSearch=false&ProductName=Power-Functions-Rechargable-Battery-Box&ProductLine=Machines-%26-Mechanisms
  15. They turned out nice!
  16. I use 8878 exclusively and added 2 charging stations w/i my Engine Train Shed. I just swap engines when I need to recharge.
  17. So one thought I had for these doors was to rotate 3581 90 degrees (so the tabs face inside) and one stud lower, make the opening 2 studs wider. Then attach the the doors inside the opening. It would make the bottom gap smaller. I'm just not sure it will work, I have yet to test it out. The curved top may catch when opening or closing the doors. Maybe I'll get to testing it out after BW.
  18. Another option is to change the livery colors of the carriages but then again you need to make all the carriages the same. I know of someone who did White & DkGreen.
  19. Interesting. Yes more photos, including the interiors.
  20. Not a bad first attempt. I like all the accessories/details. How do you plan to drive it? The M motor with gears would the be the best way to go, I think.
  21. Wow, nice first house! I would not be caught dead posting my first lego building, it shall stay in the dustbin of history. You seem to have natural talent from the beginning.
  22. I thought it was 1 plate per track segment (16 studs) so that would be 2 per baseplate, but not as steep as what is pictured.
  23. I like the build! Very nice. I would say the "architect" who designed the pool expansion failed with the "changes in the architectural appearance of the building" :) You modeled the real world very well.
  24. I do agree with some of this, the cats seem to have more of a personallity, but I'm hoping for new sets that will bring the dogs up to the same level :)
  25. I seem to find more dog sets (albeit only color differences of this design) in quite a few sets, starting with the PS (with a cat I will add), the Arctic sets and the police sets. I think with the Friends sets we will get more dogs, like this.
