I want to make a wip topic, but I don't want people to see the car till its finished, because I want it to be a surprise. Maybe when the car is 95% complete I'll make a topic about it
-
Maybe its because the 4c has 10 front lights in total (not including the trafficators), you got the front shape of the head lights right and the proportion is straight on point, but its only a wip so we can't judge you for these tiny things missing, maybe you were going to put led's behind the lights when you were finished. I still think it looks gorgeous, even without the highlighted points people mentioned, I don't really want to call them errors because the car looks so pure and beautiful. Everyday I go on this topic just to look at this little Alfa, ever since I first saw it, I would be going back on this topic and admiring it, I do this at least 5 times everyday.

An Alfa Romeo is a love or hate car, the first time you see it you'll either love or hate it. At first I hated alfa's and I couldn't understand why top gear thought they were so pretty. But then I got use to the looks and now I'm quite fond of alfa's, and I think the 4c is the best looking one. I don't think alfa's are the best looking cars in the world like top gear do, but I feel they are beautiful machines.

It looks really sporting in that picture which also reminds me, instead of just having a technic hall of fame, we should have a technic sports car of the year, technic supercar of the year, technic hypercar of the year (possibly), technic tatra of the year, technic offroader of the year, technic 4x4 of the year, technic moc of the year, technic truck of the year and technic construction vehicle of the year.

Wow it doesn't even fit on the table! May I ask, how much bigger is the tractor truck than lets say the unimog u400 or the Volvo l350f

Top 14 of 2014

The title said 'top 14 of 2014' not 'my top 14 of 2014' -
Efferman IKR, all the people that have entered have built brilliant mocs like this one, they are all worthy winners. If this moc goes well, I reckon it could have a good chance of being in the top 3. But my personal favourite the entries would be this Alfa and Piterx's fiat panda. This competition has become a showcase for the best moc, and has also brought out the best of unfamiliar builders. None of these builders will give up without a fight.

This is brilliant, I've seen so many great entries worthy of the prize. I might optimize my current moc for this competition.

wow there, there are so many great entries for the TC6 challenge, this entry is one of them. This is some great progress and work you have done, please make a video about the car.

I also can't take it seriously without any of crowkillers, jurgen krooshop, zblj, lucioswitch, MrTekneex, Piterx and rm8's mocs. All of these builders and sheepo and madoca, have produced some of the best mocs of 2014. 2015 is going to be all about zblj and madoca; they came out of no where designing these amazing mocs, and both builders have exciting future projects to be showcased next year. -

Great design, it looks like a tamed version of the fox, but I'm sure it will still be brilliant offroad.

[TC6] Tow Truck
LeocornoProductions replied to gmshades's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Great video, at least the truck performs as well as it looks. Erik leppen, not all mocs are perfect; there are no perfect mocs. I hate it when adult pro technic builders like you, are so judgemental to newer builders and less experienced builders. He has done very well to build a moc of this class, in a short space of time. It takes most builders like you, several months to build an all round moc. Yet this builder has done that in a matter of days. And always when pro builders like you see and comment on mocs by builders on a similar level to you, even if there are minor errors you won't highlight them. And that sometimes confused newer people to technic, that mocs built by people of your standard, have no errors, and can't be questioned. The only common criticism is whether a supercar is slow or fast. It should only be constructive criticism like:'put a clutch gear on the L motor, so the car doesn't lunch the motor' or 'use a XL motor to get more torque' or 'try a limited slip differential, for a stable torque flow', Not 'its too square and cramped' or whatever. That's a mock to all the hard work, time and effort the builder has put into preparing, building and sharing his or her moc; it leaves the builder with a new perception that all their work has come to nothing, thus making them feel dissatisfied with their moc. -
[TC6] Tow Truck
LeocornoProductions replied to gmshades's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yh I'm building a motorized supercar, and I started around 3 months ago, yet haven't finished the chassis. And I only decided on the gearbox 2 weeks ago. But once I built a supercar in just 3 days, and it turned out to be the supercar on my profile picture XD -
Well they don't have to have the same tires, well that's up to OSUHARDING1 whether he wants to do that. And its up to Madoca and Zblj, whether they would like modifications on their vehicles. But in real life when auto testers are doing track battles with Supercars and such, they don't have the same tires. People still compare a Veyron to a P1, even though they were made for different purposes, and optimized for different characteristics. One is a top speed car, the other is a drivers car. Both vehicles don't have to be exactly even or the same, otherwise its too predictable. Porsche 918 vs McLaren P1, the P1 has 30 more horsepower and weighs 300kg less, but the 918 has 300 more torque's and is Awd, but the p1 can make more than twice more downforce than the 918. If the tatras were both the same there would be nothing to compare.

That just looks fantastic, good luck in the contest; this is a very good entry, worth the recognition. Are there any videos? Because I wanna see this thing in action. -

Great start, can't wait to see the end result ;) -
Sometimes I feel bored with a manual moc, because it feels like the moc is limited, though a manual moc is easier to design. I'm vastly interested in motorized mocs, especially supercars and offroad vehicles. Because a motorized offroad vehicle, gives you the understanding of what a real 4x4 goes through and how torque works. I'm currently building a motorized supercar with a motorized gearbox, it is try that supercars which are motorized and have a gearbox are slow, which meant I had no references or examples of the type of moc I am attempting to build. But that encouraged me to take on this project. But some people enjoy different types of mocs, some motorized and some not. But for me, I have developed a strong craving for motorized mocs.
