Read previous entries here. Sergeant Bolton has been busy negotiating with the Onondaga people for long term trade relationships. Chief Otetiani has responded the most favorably to Bolton's trade discussions and friendship though the overall perception among the natives has been favorable. One of the things Bolton has been learning is what the Onondaga people have to offer in trade. In the present, they have the ability to provide housing to the early settlers. They also have great knowledge of the agriculture that grows and the animals on the island. In the future, they wished to trade furs, bead jewelry, and meat with the Corlanders. The younger generation learning how to string beads. Some haven't quite gotten it. The Onondaga admire the horses. Preparing hides Local garden Cooking for the tribe Hunting party leaving while younger boys wave and girls play with cornhusk dolls. Second Overview Edit: Total brick count of 8256. It kept crashing once I got about half of the fences up so I had to delete one of the longhouses in order to help out. Though in the end I just had to work a few at a time and resave. The large renders took on average 24 hours each in POV Ray, but the smaller scenes I used Bluerender on and they would take 20 minutes tops.

I just checked my accounts and the MRCA wasn't added correctly. I had 2 ships that came home with 89 and 25 db respectively bringing it to 114. The spreadsheet says 96. Thanks for checking into it Phred.

This is a beautiful and terrifying ship that should make any pirate tremble in their shoes. Great job on the build!

I spent 5 dbs on a small residence in April. I checked and the license did get purchased. Thus, I should have an ending balance of 16 (without the MRCA which just posted). Otherwise it looks great to me. I like this form as it makes it easy to check each category.

[COR - May FB1] The Treaty of Alicentia
SilentWolf replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I like the story and build. Great introduction to the newly claimed Alicentia. I like the soldiers ranks. Where is the chief's head dress from? -
[SR-FB1] May '16 - The Barber-Surgeon of Saville

Nice inside scene, with a lot of little details that definitely add to the scene. The Dark Bishop is a crazy man. Great minifigure posing as well. Keep up the good work. -
I really like this build. The wall textures are awesome and the roof turned out great also. The barrels and creates at atmosphere to this build. I will say the cobblestone technique is good but I would have liked it better with more irregularity to it. Right now the imperfections look perfectly laid.

[SR - MCRA] An interesting day in Granoleon....
SilentWolf replied to Vedauwoo's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I really like this build. The busy dock creates a good sense of realism. The variation of goods also makes it realistic as a true trade mission. Poor Lucius, reading all the wrong books. Though after his last escapade it is fitting justice. -
[Esl - FB2 Apr] : A gift from Corrington
SilentWolf replied to Tezclatipoca's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
This story and build is great. I like the continuation of the story across builders. The inclusion of the skeleton in the prison is a great touch that sets the mood.- 11 replies

As already stated the forced perspective is very well done. The railing is also well designed. I look forward to seeing this story unfold.

[COR - FB1 may] The Cod Hunter class 2A
SilentWolf replied to Tomsche's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The figurehead is very fitting to the boat names. I also like how you kept it as a foreign ship and added Corrington elements to it. The 4 pounders are well designed. The non black color definitely helps them not look the same as the 9 pounders that others are building. Great job Tomsche! -

This is an amazing build. There could be so much to comment about. I am most impreseed by the size and details shown. The texture, the machines, the workers, the building and all the minifigure placement are all exceptional. Great job.

This is a beautiful ship. I like the tumblehome and the cabins. The brickbuilt flag on the side of the ship is also a great addition. The bow and bowsprit is my favorite part of this ship though if I picked one part out. Great job overall! -

[COR - FB] "Golden Filly" 5F Schooner
SilentWolf replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I actually don't mind the hijacking. I am getting a great lesson in ships, even if it requires me to google what the terms mean. I didn't have figureheads on either of these two ships as it didn't seem proper for them. Plus I couldn't come up with a way to get a horse figurehead on the ship. I am still trying to get some more photos, and hopefully one of the two ships together. It was fun to build two ships so much the same but with varying differences. The cabin being one of the biggest differences, but even the cannons are placed differently. -
I love that the rowboat worked so well for this micro scale vessel. Great job!

Not to be a pest, but my 5F is named Golden Filly (as in the horse). I guess the best acronyms are WETEC for my trade group. Thank you for getting all these ships cataloged and updated! We do appreciate it.

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
SilentWolf replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I think the issue is that Corrington doesn't have national trade companies that receive bonuses and monopolies etc. Our specialty is the science fraternities. However, there are some smaller trade companies owned by a single individual or partnership. They are more for storyline than for a national entity. Maestro is the only nationally recognized one and it is just getting going.- 897 replies

This is a beautiful ship and the interior is one of the best parts. Very polished and it definitely portrays a trade vessel with the storage in the hull. I am also fond of the brickbuilt cannons. I would love to learn how to make that design. I did find the usage of barrels for a mast unique and ingenious. Keep up the awesome work.

[COR - FB] "Golden Filly" 5F Schooner
SilentWolf replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you for the compliments. I have been experimenting with the design of the ship and this definitely seems to be the best looking design I have accomplished so far. I was actually planning on doing cloth sails this month and cut these as my templates. However, my wife was in the hospital for several days so the cloth got put on hold until a later ship. I am glad to here that people are seeing an improvement in my MOC's. The gun ports will open even with the Lego rigging right next to them. Though they are upside down due to height and attachment issues. I need to resolve that before the next one I build. Thank you for the compliments to the ship and the information on the type of ship. I had tried to research a schooner so I could be accurate, and I got several different examples of both hulls and sail configurations. This one used the configuration with the captain's captain, and El Bellos used the smoother design with just a small entrance to the cabin showing above. However, this was the most common rigging design I saw except for the topsail schooner. Obviously my examples were misleading as now that I have researched what you told me about the hermaphrodite, I see some discrepancy on what is and is not a schooner. I definitely appreciate having those of you who know ships around to help us who don't. I will try and get a better picture from larboard. The original one didn't turn out due to issues with lighting. As a reference, here were the models I was using as my reference. USS Enterprise con80837 Texan_schooner_Independence
