[COR | FB] Settle on Quinnsville
SilentWolf replied to narbilu's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The door, the roof, and the non-square pavement really add to an already great MOC. Good job and I look forward to more from you.- 11 replies

This is a great MOC and a good way to tie your first two builds together in a storyline. As mentioned if you are wanting to participate in the EGS always register your free builds. That gives you DBs for building them.

These were all great builds. I haven't had tube to comment on all of them yet but the overall stories were great and very hilarious. -
The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
SilentWolf replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
There is a main thread we will get you added to in addition to the commerce thread. Then we can discuss there if you have interest in the other threads. Ska4hire normally adds people but he is on vacation so it might take a couple days tof get you added.- 897 replies

The one I know of is on the Corrington page and is at the bottom of the 7th post. I quoted it here.

The dock and the house were part of the build Founding a Colony. Having acquired some more of the brown tiles, I was able to tile the dock as people recommended and expand the walkway to include the new beach section leading up to the fort. The house, however, wasn't changed in this build but was expanded with a warehouse in The First Election. The crab keeps moving around as one might expect in real life. I am glad you both enjoyed it. I had thought about the fact the cannon might be too large. I did a quick search but didn't find anything quickly enough so I presumed on the sizes. (I was in a rush getting it posted.) I look forward to seeing both of your attempts at wooden forts.

[COR - FB] The first election
SilentWolf replied to SilentWolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thank you very much. I recently went to a used Lego store and was able to pick up some pieces that were hindering me from building particularly browns and tans especially the tiles used on the dock. However, I may be hitting the limit on my green selection. However, I would like to continue with the module method if I can be creative enough with the pieces I have. Thank you! I figured a little romance might come in handy in a build like this. I am pleased that the pose turned out so favorably! -

Unless you can get your first free business built today I would recommend focusing on the ship if you can have one done before the 10th. That will enable you to get involved in the MRCA. I had created some builds in existing settlements to build a backstory and I used my free license there. I also built some builds that I was able to use once I officially founded a settlement. Being able to start getting some income right away definitely helps in the long run. It will probably be about a month before the new islands are assigned. Those are my thoughts.- 897 replies

Elizabethville is holding its very first mayoral election today. The WETEC decided that Sergeant 2nd Lieutenant Bolton would not long be able to manage both the military and civilian aspects of this quickly growing settlement. In order to encourage continued cooperation and participation in the village, the company has allowed them to vote for someone from among their number to lead them for the next year. The people have brought various foods to share with each other while the votes are being tallied. The meal is looking quite delicious. Surprisingly, but with good reasoning due to the low numbers of settlers so far, the standard process of one vote per household has been replaced with a vote by each adult man and woman. The town had been working to create a cobblestone path through the settlement. So far it has only reached the end of the warehouse that Bolton added behind the dockmaster's house which was formerly the barracks. The warehouse holds all the important supplies that the settlement might need, as well as the trade goods that are being shipped from Lacryma to the old world. Ensign David has been smitten by the lovely Alexandra, and he has been practicing his bow and hat sweep all week. She is smiling so that is a good sign. Some of the kids received peppermints from Arlinsport. Maybe Nathaniel should pay attention to his little brother on where he should be fishing. This is not starting out as a good day for Gabriel Sudworth. In his attempt to impress the single girls, he stepped in the mud and helped his sister and sister-in-law around it via the narrow section of firm dirt between the ruts and the mud puddle. Apparently the center of the mud puddle was a little deeper than he expected!

Second Lieutenant Bolton (for he was recently promoted due to his tremendous success at training the new Dragoons on Lacryma) has been working hard to make sure the newly established Elizabethville is properly defended and sustained. As the highest ranking military officer, he has the duty to erect a fortress of sorts for the defense of the city. He used the trees that were being cleared from the new home sites that were under construction. The wooden fort would not be able to sustain a siege by a well armed vessel, but it would provide a sufficient defense against any smaller sailing craft who attempted to do harm. Armed with a 24 pounder cannon and a 9 pounder, it could command all the waters approaching the bay. Second Lieutenant Bolton had already requested to receive infantry at the island as the Dragoons' training was not in stockade warfare. When in their dress uniform, the officers of the Dragoons were noted to be very flamboyant in their dress. Particularly in regard to the decorations on their hats. This morning they are preparing for the local election of the first Mayor of Elizabethville.

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
SilentWolf replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Glad to have you with us Uli Bran. The Wolf's Equine, Trade and Expedition Company wishes to send you a hearty welcome to our glorious and growing kingdom. In regard to your questions, I just wanted to clarify that there is a lot you can do in the storyline that may not exist in the EGS system. For instance, I have mounted troops training in Elizabethville, and they are involved with my stories. However, they are not licensed in the EGS system so I am not limited by cost they would incur. Same would go for being a merchant though I am not part of any of the registered merchant companies.- 897 replies

This is a very well done build. I am especially fond of the cellar and its flooring. The water technique is also a great addition to this build. Then there is that door to the lighthouse which is awesome and the texture overall is great. I look forward to seeing the other parts of the challenge. You have set the bar high.

The Empire of Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion
SilentWolf replied to SkaForHire's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Warmest greetings most gracious Majesty, I wish to thank you for your gracious charter allowing the Wolf's Equine, Trade, and Expedition Company to found the settlement of Elizabethville on the island of Lacryma. As one of the furthest settlements from her majesty we do not take lightly the responsibility of establishing Corrington rule and order in the far reaches of the Empire. I recently received the attached drawing from an artist who has moved to Elizabethville. It reveals the progress in establishing Corrington's newest colony. Great strides are taking place and many people have already migrated there with more planning on doing so. I, myself, will be going there next month to inspect the present state of affairs and will write in detail then. Your humble servant, Micah of Wolfhaven Wolf's Equine, Trade, and Expedition Company- 897 replies

[ESL-FB] Stone Quarry (99 pieces)
SilentWolf replied to Elostirion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I like that you used the old space baseplate! The build turned out really well for having such a low piece count. You did pull it off. Great job on the quarry. -
I like the concept behind this build and I think you pulled it off well. The warehouse looks amazing and the interior shot is one of the best of the build. Its roof is also very nice looking. The house/main building looks very standard colonial style which I like. Great job overall and I look forward to pictures of it in the town display.

This is a nice first ship, and the coloring looks very pirate like. The inside of the captain's cabin is very well done. I look forward to more stories and builds from you.

[OL Ch3a] The return of the cup
SilentWolf replied to robinnilsson403's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Neat tavern with a great roof and drinking area. The story was fun and definitely adds to the Challenge. I like the take on the fountain of youth and its powers, though I am sorry to learn that the guy doesn't make it. The soldiers need to learn to march in step though. On opposite feet is quite unacceptable (at least from Corrie standards.) -
[SR - FB6.1] Losing The Head, Finding Heads
SilentWolf replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
A very gruesome but fitting cultural build for an island named isle de Diablo. I wish the expedition luck, may they come back a live and sane. On the build, great job on the vegetation and the texturing of the ground. The minifigure posing is also well done.- 10 replies

[COR-FB] The Dozy Dragon - Class 2T
SilentWolf replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I like the shape of this ship and its difference from our normal ships. Great job on the sails even though they are complicated. It looks like this can be a great story in the future. I look forward to more developments. -
[ESL-FB1] The Old Stone Church
SilentWolf replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The church is a great build and there are so many elements that add up to make it great. The texture of the exterior walls makes it look like a real building made of stones. The stained glass is also a great touch. I also like that you have an interior wall that covers the rockwork. The office is also well done and I like the shelf with the scrolls on it. Good job on creating a lore that will fit well into the game and yet not fall into that horrible Oleon religion. I had also noticed that historically the church was an important early building in the settlements and often doubled as the school and the local government center. I was unsure how to include this into BOBS but you have done it very well especially with the background lore. I look forward to more builds! -
[Challenge III] The Fountain of Youth
SilentWolf replied to Dzoni90's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
The vegetation on the top is very well done. You also didn't ignore the vegetation on the rock face which I think adds a lot of realism to the build. The interior of the cave though is even better than the exterior!
