  1. Perfectly Mitgardian, Z! The structure is nicely built and is definitely Mitgardian in style! The snow on the roof is a nice touch. Beautiful and realistic landscaping and foliage! The snow is very nice. The bending 2x2 trunks on the trees make them quite realistic! The story is developing quite nicely!
  2. Excellent scene, Z! There are so many details to take in! The foliage is beautifully done and very Nocturnian! The lime swamp adds a nice visual contrast to the dark foliage and the grey stone and brown timbers of the structures. Nice stonework on the tower, and the timber-frame repairs are great as well! The hoardings and spiked black roof are stunning! One critique I have is that there seem to be some vast areas of flat reddish-brown where the regularity of studs really shows unnaturally. Maybe some elevation change or low bracken or other foliage would help? The scene is still visually amazing and well-composed! The story is shaping up nicely with much to look forward to.
  3. Your minifigs are really nice, especially the use of the skirt the same color as the shirt to show a surcoat! Now I wish LEGO made the skirt in many plain colors!
  4. This is amazing, KB! This does not look like a study in half-stud offset, it looks like the example for all of us to study for half-stud offset! The corners and roof ends are beautiful! The windows and door fit in perfectly and seamlessly. The foundation/basement really adds to the build, especially with the different window styles. The fence around the courtyard is nice and that tree is especially nice with the flex hose trunk! The deck railing is wonderful as well. Nice technique for the bell and tower! Your color choices make this scene realistic and eye-catching. As usual, your flowing brick-built flag is excellent!
  5. The age cap for printed magazines seems to be correct. I used to get the magazine when I was younger. Some time during college, I missed a renewal notice, so I ceased to get the magazine. So, I helped my youngest brother and sister sign up instead. That way, they could receive the magazine under their names and I could still see the magazine (with insert publications for both boys and girls, which were different sometimes). Shortly after they signed up, my brother (age 14) got a magazine with a cover stating the age cap and a notice that he would cease to receive the printed copy. My sister (age 12) still gets the magazine, but I believe the printed copy will soon cease for her as well. It is kind of disappointing, but a life-long free subscription is kind of an unreal expectation.
  6. +1 to @Modulex Guy for providing empty PaB cups.
  7. I agree with Andy D: just the right amount of detail! The photo editing is quite interesting. The roof tiling and stable framing are particularly nice. Beautiful depiction of the scene!
  8. Ah, this is most certainly correct. I had the wrong term stored in my head, as the shaping is obviously a carrack and not a cog. Mental update...
  9. Very nice use of your quantity of foliage pieces, BrickCurve! The olive stalks do look quite nice in large quantities for reeds! This is a nice way to reuse an earlier MOC. I have considered changing the foliage color to show season change on a MOC. Your build shows that this is a great idea!
  10. Nice cog, Elephant Knight! The cog shape is easily recognizable here! Nice work on the sails and complete rigging! You have done a great job in overcoming the limitations of LEGO bricks to achieve a nice looking ship hull! I like the use of classic and modern minifigures!
  11. Neat custom prints! That snowman is really cool!
  12. That is one nice display! I am looking forward to detail pictures on each ship. Using a fan to billow the sails is an interesting idea. I totally missed the fan earlier, but maybe that is due to the fan being absent in the picture that best shows the billowing.
  13. This is a nice build, Legofin! The cave hideout with the outpost on top is a really neat idea! I do agree with Henjin on all improvement points. BL orders for foliage in the coming year should really help! The waterfall detail is interesting, and it would probably be improved with 1x2 plates to break up the regularity in shape. Good work on altering the ground elevation, both with the cliff and with the variance in the grass.
  14. @F34R Sounds good, keep building!
  15. @Ecclesiastes I must agree that this logo is really neat! Upcoming events may be enough motivation to get building again after a much-too-long hiatus from GoH building!
  16. Welcome to Eurobricks, F34R! It is good to hear that you are overcoming challenges using LEGO pieces to rebuild your life brick by brick! You have shown the beginnings of a lovely collection. If the directions ever get too frustrating, try building on your own without directions for a while. Maybe it will help relieve some frustration. Just build what you like and enjoy the hobby!
  17. Excellent hall, Capt Wolf! The reference to Independence Hall is obvious and well built! I particularly like the desks and inkwells with quills. The use of an exact pattern on the tops of the desks really makes them interesting! The green makes the desks stand out and is a great way to incorporate Eslandola's color without being glaring or out of place. The door looks very interesting, as does the crossing-anchors over the main platform.
  18. Beautiful, KB! The columns, vaulted ceiling, and stained-glass windows are just excellent! The posing of the figure is well done for LDD. Perfect shadows at the ceiling and lighting through the windows!
  19. It is great to see her finished! Good work in such a short time! Quick question: how do you billow the jib sails to look like they are bearing under wind? Do they hang like that naturally, or do you need to stiffen the sail cloth?
  20. Interesting build, Maestro! The wall texturing is great along with the terrain! I quite like that small well, though (as SK mentioned) it seems the bucket will not fit into the well. The signpost and boys play-fighting really add to the scene! I also think the tree is unusual in that location, as it would be odd on top of the wall and seems to be too thin to be tall enough to be planted behind the wall. Some trees do have gray bark, so that color could be fine, though in this particular build the light gray tree trunk would blend with the wall, so I would recommend a different color. Using the ground falling away as a border to your build is an interesting idea and well done!
  21. Excellent cart, Captain Flint! Nice window and awning on the side of the cart! The lack of studs except for decorative purposes gives the cart a very clean appearance! Interesting ground texturing, though I think it could be improved with at least some slight elevation difference. The hay on the ground is great, and it also might look better placed on top of the ground rather than sunk in. The display of weapons and armor is very nice!
  22. Nice build, Captain Flint! The wall texturing works well for a cobbled stone wall! The inclusion of the brown roots through the base is great! The cart and spilled hay really add to this scene. Excellent parts usage for the hanging bags! The ground might be better with a bit of elevation difference. The archers ought to be able to aim well at such a short distance.
  23. Very interesting build, SK! The different architecture styles on the buildings are unique but fit well together. The cart is nicely built at a small scale, especially with all the wares on the sides! Great interiors as usual. Nice work on the different angles on the buildings. The detail I noticed first and like the most is the upside-down earth-orange plate roof! That is simply beautiful! I will have to remember this technique to use in the future.
  24. Excellent posters, Kai! Thanks for all the effort you put into this (and for considering suggestions)!
  25. Nice cottage, LJ! Lovely landscaping here, especially with the cheese slope stream, mushrooms, and trees! Sand green makes for a nice grass color. The cottage is more detailed than a LEGO set, but it looks like it could be a set with the apparent sturdiness. The gardens are a great addition around the cottage, especially the mushroom patch. I like your birds and squirrel! Cute hair bird nest in the tree. That smoke technique is also quite interesting and I do not think I have seen that used before. Nice work!
