  1. Excellent barracks, DG! There are more details than can be fully appreciated in mere pictures, though the different views give so much to see! I also like the vaulted ceiling technique with the arches as support for the levels above. I agree with Henjin that the street could use a little more texturing. The external arches over windows and doors and the shields set into the wall make for a very appealing facade. The size and level of detail of this MOC is amazing!
  2. Excellent build, Maestro! The stone and half-timbered cottage is perfect with all the angles and interesting techniques! Inspiration from other builders is a perfect reason for the Guilds, and your build is inspiring as were the builds from past builders that likely inspired you! I agree with the sentiment that the grass could be improved, but this build is great nonetheless! Though carrots may be stewed, boiled, or mashed, I seem to be more familiar with this being applied to 'taters or po-ta-toes.
  3. Wow, this is a nice gate, Legofin! The snow is particularly good! The wooden gate is fantastic with the wood arches over top and palisade on either side. I agree with the balance you incorporated with stickered tiles and plain tile for the wood. The stonework is well incorporated, and I also like the spears sticking out of the wall base.
  4. Very epic effects, ME! The fog and lighting are spectacular! I am definitely looking forward to more of your special effects in addition to your amazing building skills! Anfauglir must be a "pretty capable warrior", as SK put it, to be able to defeat such a large monster!
  5. Such a beautiful skyline, Cecilie! Each micro build is well done with interesting parts usage! The river helps in breaking up the base, as does the inclusion of grass and pavement. The techniques for the Eiffel Tower make for a great micro build that looks realistic! The micro trees are perfect here.
  6. Very nice micro yacht, Ron! The parts usage for so few parts and such small scale works well for the yacht. The water technique looks very realistic and makes for a picturesque scene in your first photo! The epaulets work well for foam behind the motor!
  7. That is a great way to build a nest, FiliusRucilo! This reminds me of stork nests that are built in chimney tops. It certainly would fit into many different themes!
  8. Nice build, Bob! The sunken broken columns are well built! The mosaic stone tiling is very nice, especially the usage of spring launchers! Interesting idea for Hercules' task. Did the puppy take the bone, or was the puppy actually harder to capture than he looks?
  9. I do not know why this is happening, but I have found that refreshing the page after moving to a previous page reloads the page you are trying to view with visible text and images. Hopefully there will be an actual fix to this?
  10. Just curious, why not white? Many historical ships were painted white above the waterline. Black also works well for ships coated in pitch. If it is a personal preference, then I understand, but you could replace the hull components using brown and dark gray from the Imperial flagship. I think many ship builders were actually glad to get hulls of these colors instead of always having brown ships. Bright colors were also added as details on many ships, but I agree that the hull pieces should be one color and the bright colors could be added with additional plates and bricks.
  11. Very interesting, fabien! That is a nice cupboard! The jars look like actual products with those LEGO pieces inside! Nice design for cherries and carrots.
  12. The classic pirate look is just hard to beat! Some parts would still be the same today, with mostly differences in the detailing. If LEGO made more ships with detailed design, I have a feeling that the BSB and SES would be valued mainly for nostalgia. As it is, the newer ships from the Pirates theme are lacking in number and have overly simplistic designs, so the strongest ship designs still come from classic pirates. The design is good on the PotC ships, but the reference is very specific, not as general as the classic "insert your own pirate ship story".
  13. The detailing of your figures is amazing, Pate-Keetongu, and this is no exception! The embroidery and face really stand out in this one! The tucked-in key is a great addition! This figure seems to be lacking some articulation, but that would be incredibly difficult with the robe design. The amount of detail with some articulation you included is just amazing!
  14. The Skull's Eye Schooner rudder is turned by the ship's wheel as well. Interesting discussion to rank the ships, but it seems a bit skewed due to years between designs and introductions of new parts over the years. I personally find it hard to compare designs from the 1990's to today's designs on a level field because of new parts. The old sets would be even better if they were redesigned today.
  15. Nice build, Blaze! The buildings are definitely my favorite part! The partial snow cover is well done. Nice photography as well! The dragon is also well built! With many points of articulation, it looks like this dragon is very pose-able. The cliffhanger leaves us wanting a finish to the story, so I will be looking forward to your freebuild!
  16. Nice guardhouse, Gruja! As stated above, the half-timber hoarding is nicely done! The irregular base is a nice fit for this MOC. The door design looks nice. I like the foliage, especially growing on the roof! Those CMF plates make for nice roofing. Could we get more pictures to see this build better?
  17. Nice gate, Legofin! I echo what Garmadon said: the gates look great with the hinge design and cross-brace, the little trees are great, and the black display base and Mitgardian banner are nice touches! Is that SW Rebels Ezra Bridger's torso on the farmer? It looks great for a farmer with the other parts you used!
  18. Thanks for the fix!
  19. It seems that all of the links in the FAQ come back to the FAQ page and not to the correct topics. Is this Google Chrome specific? I noticed this in other topic links that seem to be working now, so I know there is work being done. If this is already being worked on, great!
  20. The updates are great, wallyjarek! The sun is better behind the clouds, and the moon scene is nice as well.
  21. Nice MOC, Griffon! There is certainly a lot of activity in this scene! The dense foliage makes the scene complete, IMO. The cross-sectioned bridge is interesting on the MOC edge! The full and detailed interior is great! You certainly packed a lot into this space!
  22. Very nice micro build, Vorkosigan! It does in fact look a lot like a book diagram or model! The simplified and small-ified techniques are neatly done. The inclusion of arrow loops in the keep is great!
  23. Very cool collab, Ecc.! There is certainly a lot going on here! What strikes me most is the blending water technique used to tie each build into the table. It looks really cool, especially around your Algus fortress! These are many techniques to be referenced for future builds! That fortress with combined Mitgardia/Avalonia/Kaliphlin structure styles is amazing!
  24. Looking forward to this, TitusV!
  25. Very nice fortress, ME! The stone tiling and round tower are superbly done! The trees (especially with fall-colored foliage) are very nice. My favorite element is definitely the rockwork with the path and waterfall spilling over the border of the build! It looks so realistic! The door and arch with windows above looks great as well. Are the spearpoints over the door some form of portcullis? Olive green makes such a nice foliage color, especially how you utilize it in your builds! Looking forward to more, ME!
