  1. I am glad to hear that the project is not scrapped (though I doubted it would be). It is good to see that some rigging was recoverable. Here's to hoping you can work speedily enough to finish the rigging by the deadline!
  2. That is too bad! "Reckless" was looking really nice. I hope your repairs and untangling are successful. What happened to cause such a catastrophe?
  3. Great artist's shop, Dzoni! There are so many details in this build, as others have mentioned! All the artworks in process make the scene very interesting! The clock is really neat! I do not have a lot of new comments to add to this, but I echo what others have said. This is a very interesting build!
  4. Very interesting building, Ayrlego! The siding and roof tile technique are both well done and quite realistic! I agree with Kai that a chimney, some foliage, or some color variation might make the roof appear even more realistic. The mangroves are interesting as well. The balcony is a nice addition. The gaps in the boardwalk give a realistic appearance as well. Is that achieved using headlight bricks? Is there a backside or interior to this build? More views would be nice if so.
  5. @en_zoo I also edited my early EB posts after I learned how to work the Flickr BBCode.
  6. Hey, that is just fine. I suppose I should not have been completely exclusive that it either had to be your actual house or your dream house, nothing else. I also build things that inspire me that are neither representations of my reality or of my dream for reality. By the way, your builds inspire me, especially to consider building everyday objects in stud-less realism.
  7. Using the BBCode from Flickr automatically links the image to your Flickr. The BBCode should look something like this: The way the code works is like this: anything between square brackets will not be visible, 'url' starts a link, '/url' ends a link, 'img' starts an image, '/img' ends an image. Note that the first part between url and /url is the link. Between img and /img is the image (which is also inside the link, which is how the image can be a link to Flickr). The next url group is where it shows the creator information and the "on Flickr" tag and link. This information is unnecessary here on Eurobricks, so most users delete the second url group from the code to avoid cluttering the topic post. I hope this helps.
  8. Another neat build from you, Heksu! The baseplate makes a great headboard! This is a nice, studless look to the room. The lamp design is really interesting, as are the paintings on the wall. I think a rug would be nice next to the bed for a little more color variation and since a wood floor feels cold on a winter morning. This does make me wonder: are you representing your actual house or your dream house with your builds?
  9. Neat landscape and figures, LV! Great parts choices for the orc figures! The dark green clothing details with the sand green skin make a great combination, though some might suspect them to be Avalonians . The trees really add to the landscape, and the flex tube cores make for realistically shaped trees. Nice barricades as well. The shields, bag, food, and fire make for a very convincing and life-like camp scene!
  10. I tried this three times to check how hard it was to find the golden brick... found it on the first viewed set all three times (of course I cannot enter multiple times with my Amazon account)! This is certainly a fun contest with interesting prizes that is not hard to enter.
  11. Nice archery build, Garmadon! This style of terrain is really taking hold, but I certainly think it is because it is simply great! The trees work well here, though I also am not a big fan of palm leaf pines due to the limitations at the attachment point. The target design looks really nice with the A-frame and the tan circle and red center. The variety among the archers is realistic and fitting for Mitgardia! If the archers get hungry, they can just shoot a quick chicken for lunch! Get the fires going!
  12. Great build, don leopold! The stone showing through the plaster is well built and gives a very interesting and aged effect! The color scheme is perfect for Kaliphlin, though the landscaping seems like it could fit in locations of any guild. The bell is a nice detail! This definitely reminds me of real early monasteries built in the Americas.
  13. That is a nice tower, Maestro! I agree with Henjin that this reminds me of Legonardo Davidy's and Derfel Cadarn's styles, which is indeed a compliment! The snow and projecting rock are great! The stonework and half-timber on the tower are nicely done. I also like the gate and palisade. Snow with studs or snow without... I am still undecided which looks better, though I do think the snow studs are probably fitting over this rough rock terrain. A few more angles of view on this build would be nice for truly appreciating the details. Have you tried a view from minifigure perspective looking down the path and through the gate at the tower?
  14. Nice landscaping, Blufiji! Lord Skugg's banner is really interesting with both the flag and the hands! The slope of the land and the small water portion really add to the appearance. I quite like the simplicity of the tower, as it is probably more "historically" accurate. This definitely gives a strong feeling of Nocturnus, though I might have to more-or-less copy the terrain (even with the same colors) for Mitgardia. The hoardings and wooden roof on the tower really complete the look, though it seems that the roof leaves little room around it for troops to man the battlements. Are there more views of the shack attached to the tower without the tree blocking it out?
  15. That is a nice LEGO red panda, Actionfigure! The studs do give a nice fur texturing! This looks quite similar in style to the statues seen around LEGOLand parks. The eyes and tapering nose are impressively realistic! The claws are perfect with your technique. That is such a beautiful pose for such an interesting animal!
  16. This is a nice Kaliphlin build, LJ! I also like the tiles and mosaics in the floor and the different arch techniques! The merchant's wares are really neat with a nice variety. The use of the rings around capes for cloth rolls is perfect here. Your minifig posing really adds life to this build and is quite realistic! All the different figures are great, though I do wonder if the merchant's aides would get hot under black fur hats. They are obviously not Mitgardians, as no Mitgardian could stand to wear fur in the heat of Kaliphlin! I do particularly like the parts used for the forefront merchant's aide including the modified legs, but maybe it is because I am partial to that head (used on my sigfig) and to that hat (very fitting for Mitgardia, I have quite a few in brown and black).
  17. Very nice MOC, SK! The rockwork and landscaping are nicely built, especially so much SNOT rock! Curving the trees is a nice touch, as is the foliage color variation between tree types. The dragon is very interesting! The points of articulation make for a realistic-looking reptile. I can see Henjin's argument on color unification, but I actually kind of prefer the camouflaged appearance (it seems realistic to have colors that blend with the surroundings rather than distinct color boundaries). This camouflaging does make the dragon harder to pick out in the pictures due to the corners and angles on the bricks in the dragon and the background, but some camouflaging makes the scene more realistic. I would have been unhappy without images of the dragon alone (to be able to see the fine detail which blends into the background in the scene), but , of course, you included dragon images! An open back side allows for more views while the black background in the main image gives the cave realistic depth!
  18. That is an amazing introductory MOC, Ben Andrews! There are so many details in this large diorama that I surely cannot take in and comment on them all! The white-window tower is really interesting! The dark red cheese-slope roof and tan tile walls of the structure make a very striking appearance! The tree house is beautiful with the different foliage angles, balcony levels, building portions, spiral staircase, and the underground roots! I will have to keep looking at the pictures to pick out even more details! The final appearance is a wonderful credit to the number of hours you must have spent building this MOC!
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks, Ben! I am looking forward to seeing your MOCs!
  20. Very interesting wave technique, Kolonialbeamter! The sand and thin palm trees are great as well! I particularly like the inclusion of the trans-invisible 1x1 round tiles to show the water washing onto the beach. That water is similar to part of something I am working on that I hope to be able to post in BoBS, though I am still a long way from finished. Some sort of ship SHIP... though it would be boastful to claim much at this point, as my ideas are not yet proven. I will have to leave you all waiting at that. I am glad for verification of the water technique before I am done building! How you do all of this in LDD still boggles my mind!
  21. +1 to all that @L@go said. It does feel good sometimes to just write a list like that to get it out of the system! @Elysiumfountain I would not worry too much about what might annoy people. Just post your MOCs and add to discussions in a productive and friendly manner. Keep your tone positive and try to only criticize constructively (offer kind criticism but also offer a solution or information to improve). Do not simply criticize someone with destructive comments. Don't be rude to other users (this should be pretty obvious). Do not attack other users or their creations. Step back from a discussion for a moment if it heats up and emotions begin to flare. Offer that your opinions might be right and be willing to accept being wrong rather than demanding that others acknowledge your opinion as supreme (give others the opportunity to agree with your opinions rather than just expecting others to agree with your opinion and be willing to agree with the opinions of others). Read through the EB post on Posting Etiquette thoroughly, and you will understand what you should and should not do. For the most part, I think experience on Eurobricks will show what you should post about and discuss on EB rather than what annoys other users. Focus on positives, and you are unlikely to go wrong.
  22. Welcome to Eurobricks, Elysiumfountain! I am looking forward to seeing your trains and large, heavy buildings!
  23. This is a great build, Stelario! The thick foliage is interesting, but the tree is definitely the best part (as others mentioned)! The color scheme seems very spring-like. One detail that caught my eye is the cottage, especially the roof. Great work on the layered doming of that roof! Plowing the field and clearing stones is well represented here, both with the neat plow design and with the plowed/un-plowed soil parts. The pumpkin and vegetable patch is beautiful and nicely contrasted with the dark red soil. Those must be sheep from the strain "ovis giganticus", as they seem about as tall at the shoulders as a minifigure! My only critique would be for more elevation variation across a build this size, though this increases the needed parts count rather quickly!
  24. This is a nice keep gate, Legofin! The functioning drawbridge is a great addition! The stonework and round tower are nicely done. The snowy landscape and the water definitely help to complete this build and place it in Mitgardia! The shack is great as well, with the thatched roof and end beams, latticed windows, sand green window shutters, and the chimney and smoke! Though the technique is fairly simple, I still love those little cheese slope trees!
