Yeah, their goal does look pretty high, but I hope they get enough backers. I am already planning for add-ons, or maybe I'll just do an additional backing. Andy

Wow! This looks great! I just backed. This is the best, most convenient LEGO lighting system I have seen. I really hope this project succeeds. If you want to use lights in your LEGO projects check this out. Looking forward to using these in future Halloween and Christmas MOCs. Andy

I thought all this "I hate Apple or I hate Windows or I hate some other product or company" died out years ago, that is so 1990's. I buy and use the products I like and I hope other Mfg's get better, so my preferred products have to get better to keep up. Viva Apple, viva Microsoft, viva Android... Everyone just get better, so I can have better, more fun technology. Just MHO, YMMV Andy D

So far, so good, I have not yet received a box of smelly LEGO, but it could be just a matter of time. I guess I'll just hold my breath an submerge them in warm soapy water, soak then air them out. Andy D

[G:A15, HC vs DK] You will not stand alone...
Andy D replied to Bregir's topic in Guilds of Historica
Like Captain Dee I Aldo believe the FP is better in the first photo, mainly because of the focus. I the first the focus looks to be on the land and the ship out of focus (as it should be) in the background. The second photo is nic because it bringa out the details in the ship, it appears that you shifted the focus point to sharpen the background and blur (somewhat) the foreground. Overall, very nice and really nice micro ship. Andy D- 18 replies

[MOC, digital artwork] Spaceman Spiff (Calvin & Hobbes)
Andy D replied to papacharly's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Wow! This is a great MOC. I really like how you went from cartoon artwork to a LEGO design. It is impossible for me to comment on just one thing because you did it all so well. Andy D- 3 replies

Another excellent stop motion! I still really like the morphing effect between pieces. Andy D

Great! Do you have any photos of the model by itself? It would be nice to see sides and back without buildings next to it. Andy D

Depends on the set and availability. If the only way the set is available (at a reasonable cost) is used, I have no problems with used. Sometimes I get a used set that is in great condition, sometimes not, it is all a gamble. Most of the time the used sets I have bought have been in at least as good as I expected, sometimes better, but so far usually OK and I will continue to buy used sets for sets I can not find any other way. This is outstanding! The colors go very, very well together and some of the techniques are just genius! I will be borrowing some of the techniques... Thanks in advance! Andy D

MOC: Whack A Jar Jar Binks

I'm starting to get the impression that you may not like Jar Jar. ;) Andy D -
Any chance this will happen soon. I just completed Tijger-San's TARDIS http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=106919 so now I would like to see how your TARDIS compares in bricks on my shelf. Thanks, Andy D

MOC: Doctor Who LEGO Tardis with building instructions
Andy D replied to Tijger-San's topic in LEGO Licensed
It looks like this thread is pretty much dead, but I decided to put my completed TARDIS based on Tijger-San's design here anyway. I finally got around to finishing the TARDIS based on Tijger-San's design. Since the instructions were never fully completed, I took my best guess as to how the TARDIS was supposed to be assembled. Following just the instructions presented here an on FLickr, I was able to complete it. It seemed rather unstable at times during the process, but once it was all locked up it seems pretty stable. As I mentioned in my previous post, I did not have enough blue, so I made the TARDUS in black, dark blueish-grey and some light blueish-grey. I think it looks pretty good anyway (even though not blue) Here are some photos. I also have a TARDIS built according to Dr. Sinister's instructions, so I included that here as well. Dr. Sinister's design made for a more stable TARDIS as it was being assembled. Old to the LEGO community, new-ish to Eurobricks: hello!
Andy D replied to linusbohman's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome back! Those are quite some online resources you have developed, thanks for sharing. I hope you don't get dinged for self promotion. Andy D -
Not cheap, but really does the job. I have used Screenflow for many tutorials. You can create a video to show directly or upload to YouTube. This is a very mature, feature rich program. Because this program has many features it may require more time to learn how to use effectively. I believe you can download a trial, also not sure if there is a Windows version. http://www.telestream.net/screenflow/overview.htm Andy D

Excellent use of topography /relief. The vegetation is also interesting, I just might use that on a future MOC. Thanks, Andy D

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Andy D replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I know what you mean about colors. My difficulty is when it is hard to differentiate the brick color from the background. Hmmm... Married 35 years, it seems that you should be in the old timers group. Can someone thank care of this? Andy D -
Congratulations! Nicely organized, it looks like a great place to build. Andy D

REVIEW: 70728 Battle for Ninjago City
Andy D replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, we got unpacked and here is how well the Battle for Ninjago City survived. As you can see, not very well, but looking on the bright side, now I get to assemble it again. The main Temple building did not survive very well... Temple Building by MyPlasticBricks, on Flickr The top of the Temple did not survive very Well Top of Ninja Temple by MyPlasticBricks, on Flickr The gate didn't either, but it was easy to reassemble... Gate by MyPlasticBricks, on Flickr The Overlord needs major help... Overlord by MyPlasticBricks, on Flickr The tree only had one loose limb. Already reassembled... Tree by MyPlasticBricks, on Flickr Well, there you go, photographic proof of how well an assembleld LEGO set survives baggage handlers. Note that this was only from the ship to the dock and to may car, no airlines involved. But I do get to assemble it again and because I packed it in sections it shouldn't be too difficult. Overall, I still think this is a great set, fun to assemble and a good parts pack. Andy D
