  1. I'm liking the bad guys in this wave, definitely picking up a few sets. I wish the forge didn't have that big dragon with it as it doesn't do much for me. Anyone else get a serious Nod vibe from the Vermillion vehicles? (From Command & Conquer, specifically Tiberium Sun for me)
  2. Very cozy bookshop, well done! Bedroom is a nice touch.
  3. Does it bother anyone else how Lightning looks soooo similar to Sparx?
  4. Graduation cape: looks cool, but I'm not sure how much demand there is for such a complicated robe, and not all school robes really look like that in the back. Bane's coat: probably should be made, very effective. I've never seen them use two materials stuck together like that though. Kilts: Um there already is a bagpiper with fabric kilt. They don't make all the different patterns because how would they even sell such a thing?
  5. Either breadsticks or fries.
  6. Glad to see the official pics. Plenty of cool new parts. The colors still aren't doing it for me though. I expect to buy the two small Lance sets and Ruina's set and probably just BL some figs and parts. I don't expect my stone / lightning faction to be more than 1/3 of the size of my lava army.
  7. I hope those of you who hate "scalpers" so much have never bought a retired set from a third party. Buying to resell is only "scalping" if someone buys large quantities near or before release with the hope to sell to people who can't get the set because it is sold out. Some of this goes on but with the internet its harder for this to be abused unless something is really underproduced. But buying a set after it has been out for a while and is well stocked is not harming anyone and provides a valuable service. If the price is too high don't buy it.
  8. Use Bricklink or build up a collection from bulk lots plus some key discontinued sets. For example Kingdoms Joust is still very reasonable on the aftermarket. Even Medieval Market Village is not too overpriced despite its age. To the points about lack of real historic themes, I would very much like to see some ancient Rome or medieval Europe sets that were at least in the ballpark of historical accuracy OR established legends. But I don't think NK is a betrayal and has provided some nice parts and figures so far for fantasy settings.
  9. Great detailing! A very appealing and realistic street.
  10. The snake villains are amazing but I actually wish they didn't have the snakes popping out of their chests, that is a little too over the top for me. Still great though and useful parts for custom armies.
  11. The Dr O'Neil figure is pretty freaky, I'd never seen that. But I don't think its a fair comparison to use 3rd party parts if you're going to talk about the "scariest figure ever."
  12. This is my first attempt at microscale build. Enjoy!
  13. Nice job, your two MOCs of obscure roller ships highlight an interesting time in the history of science and technology.
  14. I couldn't find any sets with the green sea grass and the yellowish-green bricks. So it might be another surplus brick pack.
  15. Not true, there was a Creator train released a few months ago, 10254 Winter Holiday Train. Also generally trains are discussed in the Train Tech forum.
  16. When I said re-release I'm referring to the frequent rumor that S16 was pushed out early so the Disney series could be brought back after the release of the Disney castle. Several people on this page of the thread are talking about it and it appears to have happened to some degree based on several sightings. I know 3rd party resellers and small shops raise the prices for discontinued items all the time, but its fairly uncommon in big box retail stores that care mostly about having items on the shelves that turn over quickly. So I'm just curious if others saw the 4.50 price because it could indicate a trend for future CMF series.
  17. Jestro's Volcano Lair has been on sale many places and is currently $94 on US Amazon.
  18. I saw a new case of them in Fleet Farm's seasonal toy section for $4.50. Season 16 was also there for $4. Is that the case for the "re-release" elsewhere?
  19. Does it look like this? About $25.
  20. You know there was a City Farm subtheme just a couple years before Mill Village Raid right? They're not too expensive on the aftermarket. http://brickset.com/sets/7637-1/Farm
  21. Nice use of the Nexo Knights half spheres.
  22. Great use of perspective! That waterfall is incredible!
  23. Amazing that someone has 2017 figures already. For me the colors are too intense. I could see the blue with black and gray, but purple and light blue I dunno. Still curious to see the winged creatures though.
  24. Awesome scale and detail! Well done.
  25. Yes and the purchase threshold is $99. Its on the November calendar, you have to click the pdf version to see the fine print.
