I recently 60227 Lunar Space Station and 60226 Mars Research Shuttle. In both sets all of the stickers appear to be about 1 mm offset from two sides, making the designs off center and in some cases cutting off part of the printing. I thought it was a fluke in the first set but became concerned to see another set with the same problem. I also had an issue when I tried to re-position one of the stickers, where the adhesive separated from the back. I have applied a lot of LEGO stickers and never saw that issue before. See the photo below and how close the design is on the right side of the solar panel vs the space on the left. Also on the sticker sheet you can see the leftover color around each sticker is bigger on the right and bottom. Looking at some pictures of the sets it seems like this is a systematic problem with these sets. Have others noticed this and/or seen this problem on other new sets? UPDATE: The replacement stickers I got are properly centered! So this seems to be a fairly limited issue. I also built Rocket Assembly recently and the sticker cutting was fine in there.

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion

It took till mid day for the space sets to actually turn to Available on S@H in the USA, but they finally are. Excited to get my hands on them. -

It's interesting, I wonder what sort of ideas they are really expecting from this. My guess is that they are going to consider bringing in house third part compatible systems that people suggest instead of letting some independent small business run with it. Things like the various LEGO compatible lighting systems, the mounting tape with studs on it, compatible train tracks in different radii, the S Brick, etc. Except of course, something that hasn't been commercialized yet. They also talk about different marketplaces, I have some ideas about that. -

I'm not too bothered by the price on normal retail sets, they get discounted 20% or more pretty quick. That cockpit is concerning though, I want to see it in person but may be worth complaining to LEGO about because the box is so inaccurate to the actual. -

Well I'm hoping the exclusion of the Explorer and Jeep means we'll get one or both in a medium sized normal retail set. Which if that happens I'll be happy, I was not going to buy a huge D2C anyway but if I can get either vehicle in a reasonably affordable set I would. -
REVIEW: 60230 People Pack - Space Research and Development

Aren't some of the minifig parts exclusive to this set, at least in terms of prints/colors? I'm thinking especially the light blue space figure with orange visor. -

If anyone in the USA spots the new space sets out early, please post about it. I'm keeping my eyes pealed in case some retailers put those and the new HP sets out before July 1. -

Nicely done, looks very high quality! Western was a great theme but you'd probably get more demand from recreating old pirate sails, just my guess. -
LEGO Creator 2019 - Rumors, Discussion, and Speculation

I don't know about extremely. Young Armstrong and Aldrin are pretty average looking clean cut guys, many fleshy heads are available that would work. Of course more printing would be nice.- 280 replies

Minifig scale with 2 figures, unclear from the front of the box what the heads look like. And there is a 50th anniversary graphic on the box so that is definitely a motivation for releasing this set now. Looks quite detailed.- 280 replies

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion

The summer City sets are up on S@H: https://shop.lego.com/en-US/category/city?page=1&filters.i0.key=variants.attributes.availabilityStatus.zxx-US&filters.i0.values.i0="B_COMING_SOON_AT_DATE"%2C"D_COMING_SOON" I am surprised to see that the space sets are released June 23rd and the others August 1st. I was hoping for June 1st for space. Also the Rocket Assembly is $150 USD, I was hoping for a little less but still a buy. The rest of the space sets all look well priced. -
This is official box art, don't see why it can't be linked. http://www.toysworldreviews.com/lego-confirm-two-more-lego-harry-potter-sets/

Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Vorkosigan replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
I guess I'm behind the times here, but I'm not sure about your 9/10 assertion. Looking at all the sets on the first page of S@H's "NEW" list I see 9 orange separators and 2 teal ones. Unless you're saying it is randomly coming in a large proportion of sets regardless of what the photos show. -
Here is a picture of the new teal one in a set. Will be good to get them in a new color, although I'd prefer something more subtle (I know they are supposed to be easy to find).

The Rocket Transportation set looks excellent, a definite buy. Did others notice it comes with a green brick seperator, which is currently quite rare? Wondering if they are going to switch the color up across the board. -
I agree, it is very much about subjective perception of a license and not about specific content. Do most people think Harry Potter, Star Wars, or the Avengers is "too adult" for kids? Of course not, they have tons of kid oriented products for these properties, despite the many dark and violent instances in the films. Stranger Things is in the same boat, I don't think you're going to find a large percentage of people who'd say "I'd never let me kids watch that," of course specific appropriate age being debatable. On the other hand, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead very much have a perception of being adult oriented and not kid friendly. That is why we won't see those properties in LEGO form.
-
The image LEGO teased on facebook shows the top of Will's head, so I'd say it's pretty conclusive the Stranger Things set comes out May 15th. See the images below where I found a corresponding screenshot.

The similarities of the robonaut helmet and armor with Nexo Knights pieces makes me wonder if they are designs that were planned for later Nexo waves that never happened, and that they saw a chance to reuse. -

To me the roller coaster track around the launch pad looks pretty goofy. But the larger shuttle, the space station, and the rover are all quite nice. The theme is not as futuristic as I hoped, but I like the style well enough. -
No specific connection to the novel / film, just a peaceful walled garden.

Wow the texture pops. Great part usage!
