I dont imagine stores enjoy having stock they cant sell 3 weeks in advance. I mean, it also doesent help the sales for the hobbit sets, because in january new sets releases for other themes aswell.

Its lack of communication, most of the time its standard for stores to put new stock on shelves when they get them. But when tis the stores fault, they should allow the guy to buy them, then take them down.

Yep, thats the only date we have heard for it. It'll propably be other dates for certain "terretories"

There could perhaps be a special hobbit set released as "part of" summer 2014 lotr wave (if there is one)

I don't think people have really been expecting that, if there is another set coming later like orthanc was, they will still keep it "secret" Also Beorns hair/face is one pice on that cg poster aswell.

If they printed a beard why is there no dark gray color printed the same way they did with the eyebrows, and if they printed a beard why is there thats bit of dark tan going down the side of his face from the eyebrow.

On the box image the head and hair/beard looks like 2 pieces, but on the image shown on the website shows it as 1 piece. Things can change one way or another, remember Gandalf's beard, looks how the "sideburn" is alot taller on the picture we saw before release and in box images etc. Box image beard: http://brick.jamescook.nu/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/lego_the_lord_of_the_rings_9469_gandalf_arrives_set.jpg What we got beard: http://1.bp.blogspot...rrives cart.JPG

Beorn should be real cheap if peope buy lots of the set to get the orcs with hair. My favorite minifig this wave is the Laketown guard, he's just fantastic.

But using a Balin style piece would cover up more of his torso OR make his face hole alot shorter, Both of wich would make him seem alot more compressed, wich is no good when you want to make the guy look big.

It's clever and it allows them to show off more of the torso sicne the beard is going up instead of down, I still think he should have gotten long arms and legs.

It makes sense with the fact that it makes Beorn taller than other figures by putting his face higher. That there printing stuff is not a result of image editing Just look at the eyebrow on the right side, it blends together completely, the eyebrow isn't printed, the skin around it is.

Look at the picture again! There are unprinted DARK TAN parts on his face, and there are no molding line in the forhead. And there are none of the edges you get btween a minifig head and a 'wig'

Sounds good, hope that's the case, the image doesen't do a good job showing off colors right. Heres just the image: THEORY TIME, the face is PRINTED onto his hair piece to make him sem sligthly taller than other minifigures? somethings sketchy around the edges of the face... If this is the case there is no 2. expression. And seeng as we are proapbly never getting Beorn in a non combat situation thats so annoying. I am pretty certian it's 1 printed piece and no minifig head.

Same here, its annoying they have not shown it ANYWHERE yet. Angry faces rarely look as much like the actors as the serious/standard expressions does. Wich color is Beorn's skin? is it dark skin color? or is it the same orange that the orcs use?? Is his hair dark tan? it looks awful weird in that image...

Mine ahs that aswell, its a result of the molding process. You see this happen with this "pearl" colored plastic because it's sligthly translucent., same thing with some of the uruk hai's armor. that is if its just lines. If its real CRACKS then you got a bad one.

I don't think the set needs upgrading, I think you just need to add more buildings. That said you extention looks nice. But if it was how the set was I'd say it's abit too bland.
