No we dont know, the only information we have regarding that is people taking about what they ahve seen ns tores themselves and asking store amnagers, but its such a scattershot untrusty information. So don't really trust info that isnt given from the top folks at lego(not store managers) The cut down in sets might be casue they had anotehr year to spread their sets across. But they might have gotten time to make up more sets for next year.

I think they didnt make it till the pick ups, so that explais the inaccuraes, but they did build the whole wall/gate/tree part as a proper set. Watching the production vids you'll see the full set of the gate/wall Next years sets are more likely to be accurate, seing as they are generally finished with all the filming.

He gets catapulted off a boat and legolas cuts his head off in the air. We can hope a smaug/laketown set mixes in some figs from other scenes. New tauriel, Fimbul, Alfrid and Bard(obv) would be good. Bolg we prapby get in another taba set. It's from the videogame trailer

Thats a great orc face, shame we will proapbly never get a Fimbul minifigure. Lego could do with making some more featured orcs.

Azog is 7' acording to the chronicles book.

I have looked at the scene and can tell you with certainly Bolg is lower than Azog. they looked raletively the same as they walk up to eachother, but once they are standing face to face Azog is looking down on him. Don't be fooled by the part where Bolg is walking past the other orcs, he is obv alot bigger than those.

Bolg IS lower than Azog.. about half a head lower. Lego can make him just like azog, He will look better too, cause he has soulderpads hiding the mold's edges, and he has iron spikes on his chest wich could hide the edge of the mold there too. BOLG

Yazneg is a discarted AZOG deisgn. old bolg was a discarted design for azog. Watch the bonus amterial on the extended edition, it shows off ALOT of unused Azog designs. The fact that they sold action figures and otehr amchandise naming the bearded orc as Bold should be proof enough. Theres also the fact that the current Bolg has taken ALOT of the design elements off old bolg/azog.

It was deisgned as Azog, when they changed Azog, they thought they could use it as Bolg for a while, uintill they changed him into cg to match his father.

Well lego deosent have too many color variations, and the movie is fairly desaturated.

I imagine the huge inaccuracies in MEA is why the say its INSPIRED by the movie, rather that what its suppsoed to be. That scene in the movie was kindof a dream scenario for a lego set, it included, Legolas, Tauriel, Bolg, Palace guard, Elf 'rangers, gundabad orcs, all the dwarves and Bilbo. I made my own version of that, Based on the pictures of the film set. the tree is not quite finished and i left out the lever cause it looked a bit cluttered.

Yeah, people shoudl keep in kind that as far as the lotr/hobbit LEGO is concerned, the book in alot of cases is irrelevant.

Dale seems to be the focus of BO5A. we should see a set represeting part of that.

Well that would be another travesty. The BO5A orcs are very much armored, Not like the hunter gundabadd orcs we got this wave. http://i44.tinypic.com/29x6nue.png For the BO5A Lego really should make A fanstastic generic NEW minifigure, for each of the armored troops, Orc, Elf and Dwarf. (when i say armored I don't nessecarily mean they need to mold armor plates) Sounds like Dol Guldur is gonan be big again in TABA.

MEA is a "battlepack" inspired by the movie, basically a way for them to give us Thranduil etc, without having to making a scene from the film. as for DGA Did you really not connect that that the whole Azog/necromancer/gandalf event was the same as in the lego set? the Architechture might have cahnged after all of PJ's changes, but It's still very much dolg guldur in its same style, with the same characthers.
