Thats not how height works, his head is still way down. Toy story elgs and arms would have worked out great, it's basically more natural proportions.

The vlogs. And come on, Thranduil does not use the woodland guard as his main army.

The statue is great, But Radagast deserved printed legs so I had rather wished lego spendt their efforts on him instead of a statue. Nope, the armies in bo5a looks nothing like what we've seen so far in lego figs.

I would rather not trust someone with only 5 posts. If that list is real i'll deal with that later. If there even is a summer '14 lotr wave we'll propably get told on the back of hobbit instructions like last time or soemthing.

Just have to wait till we get those straigh on pictures in high quality! I am very happy we are getting Thranduil in him normal clothes. At ths point I think we should remain ourself this thread is for talking about future/potential hobbit sets. Next year I hope for a set including bits of Dale, for the TABA scenes, the vlog shows atleast part of the battle with happen there!

On that note I guess it's time for me to share this gallery I've been making, showing all the Current and potential future hobbit minifigures compared with the movie. Click the image to view the gallery. Obviously I intent to update as we get better images.

Legos version is spot on for hom he I find it a bit weird they printed Radagast's mustache instead of molding it. Thranduils hairpiece looks very nice, The molding of the hair seems very genuine. Wish they could have made him another color than green though but the printing looks intricate. And they seem to have cut off his crown on the front of the box image .

Um, these are all new prints and a new overall color.... The new orc is based of this crew In that orange-y color AND half of them comes with shoulder armor. They are movie accurate so Don't complain that lego didn't do their job what concernes putting these figures in this wave.

The prelim box art showed the inside of the courtyard aswell, this is a mines of moria style set not helms deep style.

The front shows the same side, The ambush set is the real entrance part. It does not look like the entire fortress, but the architectural details matches the movie super well for a lego set. It is immediatley recognizable if you have enough interest in the movies. I do think it would have been cool if lego had mimicked the general shape of the entire fortress with the sioluette tough, wouldn't be hard and it could make more people happy. Just need to move the tower closer to the middle and add some smaller tower-like pillar things to get that sligthly more pointy at the near middle look.

The orcs prints are all new, new colored skin aswell. The orcs we got in warg cahse sets was a jumbled togetehr work to make them look liek waht we are getting properly now. Thranduils hair is all new with his crown. The ambush set is great, it is the entrance to Dol guldur, it's an architeculral symbol, not some random rock like like RIddles set. The Warg is the normal dark brown, so it'll look as brown as the current bear Dol guldur battle 797 pieces for 69£ is a scoop! Its not supposed to be the whole fortress, just the courtyard _____ It looks like on the bottom of the box there is a picture of 2 dol guldur battle sets conntected in the middle with 1 ambush set.

Does dol guldur battle include: gandalf, radagast, azog, necromancer, + 2 gundabad orcs? instead of big red beard, perhaps a smaller beard, thats some kind of blonde with red/orange bits in?

We can start complaining again next year when they reuse the gundabad orcs insidead of giving us proper armored ones as seen in the trailer and vlog.

Is there a nazgul?, pretty sure it's the necromancer that has been confused for a nazgul before. The elves shoud be the Guys from Tauriels crew, Not the olive green we already got.

I really hope so, and people learn from this, so that next time the prices will keep low enough for me to buy whatever it is ;D

Or they should make him a "free" characther, where his presence doesent 'take up' a slot. Alternatively if they wanted to do right, they should have given him a unique print for the hobbit sets, HE WEARS A SCARF LEGO! @Durins Bane the big set isn't much of an army builder when it only comes with 1 generic orc. But good news everybody from what I've Heard people describing the prelims. it sounds like we'll get new printed orcs this time, And some might come with shoulder armor.

One issue with Dol Guldur battle is the minifig count 1 less figure than Moria and 2 less than goblin battle, both of wich included expensive big figs.

Now we have got more reliable info it seems thats just some weirdness that comes from people not being familiar with midddle earth names that mixes up Dol Guldur and Elrond, because essentialy it's both gibberish.
