  1. Thank you Hobbythorn! Thanks Lord Vladivus! There is indeed a chance they're weilding enchanted githril, but that portion of the minotaurs' story hasn't been finalized yet. Thank you Kai! In regards to the ground, I don't think it's just you -- while I'm pleased with how the topography turned out overall, I struggled with getting the color balance just right, and was never able to come up with a truly satisfactory solution. Thanks Jakorin! Thank you MassEditor!

  3. Yes, I'd love it if group PMs were set up.
  4. Thanks, Slegengr! The camera on the phone is pretty good (especially for snapshots); but it's not great at photographing objects. I just miss the control I have with a "real" camera. Thank you! I'm humbled. Thanks! It's a pretty straightforward simple concept, but it was fun to build. Looking forward to seeing the lovely lady!
  5. New build! An Encounter with the Brute Squad
  6. Beautiful build. Great details and expressive figures. The glowing mosaic floor is really lovely. Desaturating the figs was a clever way to depict the Drow, but I wish a bit of blue had been added back -- because they aren't reflecting blue light like everything else, it takes them out of the scene a bit for me.
  7. Great build! I really like the arches at the entrance.
  8. Nice build. I particularly like the interaction of the animals at play, and the poor guy who dropped the crate of ale.
  9. Just outside of Ruadh, there is a large camp of minotaurs. Though fearsome in appearance and in battle, they are actually quite personable. This particular tribe is noted for their rich culture and sense of humor -- they can be quite punny. Many of the tribe members serve in Ruadh's Brute Squad, acting as peacekeepers in the settlement. As a weary traveler approached the old city walls of Ruadh, he couldn't help but notice the fearsome Brute Squad members guarding the door. A bit intimidated, the traveler decided to cool off a bit at one of Ruadh's fountains before approaching the minotaurs. As he leaned over the water, he overheard a bit of their conversation, and grinned. "Did you see the rack on the new lady minotaur that just moved here?" "Haha! How could I miss it? She has the finest pair of horns I've ever seen on a lady!" A photo of the build without figs: Conceptually, the Brute Squad has been floating around for a while now. After the discussion in mccoyed's thread, I thought they ought to finally make an appearance! The wall design is loosely based on Maxim's Ruadhi build. I apologize for the poor quality of the photos. My primary camera is on the fritz, so I had to make do with what I could coax out of the phone camera. As always, comments and constructive criticism are most welcome.
  10. Just stunning, all of it. The story, the trees, the swamp, the landscaping, the details of the monastery, that caved-in wall -- stunning.
  11. Very nice build! I particularly like the wall pattern of the building.
  12. Great entry! Your descriptions, though brief, are very effective. I especially like the Tavern Brawler and the Courtesan.
  13. Brilliant build, both inside and out. I particularly like the Norse entryway, and the rubber bands as decor are quite clever.
  14. Great build. Love the rockwork, and the dragon is very cool.
  15. Great series! I like that you included a group shot for each guild. The Orc Ambassador is fantastic!
  16. Nice work! I particularly like the Kaliphlin Royal Guard.
  17. Very cool. Love that rebel noble lady.
  18. A clean, classic build. I love the seagulls with the fish, and the guys unloading the boat -- nice posing. A part of me wants to suggest more surface texture in the wall, water, and beach, but I'm undecided. I like a lot of texture myself, but the classic aesthetic is so well executed here, and has a lot of charm.
  19. Love all the great interior details, like the chandelier, stove, and bar.
  20. Great build! I love the humor you've brought to the challenge.
  21. Nice build! I enjoy the landscaping and the well-organized wagon.
  22. Brilliant build. I especially like the use of the hinges as wall texture.
  23. Great set! I love the humor you've brought to the characters.
  24. Phenomenal roof, and great build overall. I love the spy's head peeking through. Good thing the dwarves didn't bother to look above them!
  25. Impressive wall! Like soccerkid, my favorite details are the scaffolding and the 1x1 tile / modified brick border on the wall.
