Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

I haven't noticed that problem. Perhaps you're not snapping it closed tightly enough? Or you've not secured the entire structure correctly? You've not set the button mechanism in place correctly? If you snap the two blue studs into thier opposite port, the floor is solid. You can fill the cargo to capacity with bricks and minifigs with no danger of it letting loose until you hit the button (not that I've amused myself with random bombings of Tony's mansion or any such thing...hahaha). It's never simply popped open. /shrug. -

They're supposed to be loose, and pop open when you push the button. They snap closed though (with the two little one stud parts) and remain so, even with the bike and rider in the bay. -

There's an Ultron exclusive set too. It's less impressive though, as we already have tonnes of Ultrons with the Avengers sets this year. -

It's Lego. You can just attatch the wings from the already released Sam figure from last year. I'm super stoked for him! This year has been a full boon for Marvel Lego. Finally getting Vision and Wanda, Bucky and now Sam's Captain America suit. I'm legit over the moon! If/when they release Sharon Carter, I'll have all of my favorite Marvel characters in Lego minifigs. -

It's not going to end until Fox sells Disney the X-men film license. This whole embargo on X-men and F4 merchandise is the new normal from here on out. :/ -

I am SO FREAKING STOKED for the helicarrier! I can't even begin to describe how happy this makes me! This is like when so many things you love come together in one brilliant package! I've wanted a proper helicarrier toy since I was a small child. Harbro's offerings have been...lackluster, to say the least. That it's a massive Lego build just sweetens the pot (I'm a sucker for the larger sets, where you can kill an entire weekend having at it). I think this is easily the most excited I could ever be for a toy. Ever. :D -
I've had occasions where I was certain that I was missing a piece, even plucking it from another set to finish the build...only to find it still in one of the bags, in a crumpled corner. Or off to the side of the space I was building on, having bounced away when I opened the bag. Hahaha. I've never once actually had any missing parts though. Which is actually kind of amazing really, when you consider the odds. Thousands and thousands of parts, and not a stud is missing.

Review: 41062 Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle
klinton replied to mostlytechnic's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm literally of the exact opposite opinion to OP here. I love the structure and the parts (this is a fantastic little parts pack that I'll be snagging more of when I find it again)...but I've no use for the figures (not a big Disney Princess fan). It's all about the parts. This set is freaking amazing! :D -
Does TLG filter negative reviews on S@H?
klinton replied to jodawill's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, I've never understood looking to reviews to inform a purchase of anything this side of a new car (where details like performance and mileage are important). You can eyeball a Lego set and know off the top if it's for you or not. Outside of looking at reviews for parts images and/or to lust after a set you've yet to acquire (but already intend to, prior to reading), I don't see the point of them at all. It's weird that society is so skewed towards this dependence on other people's 'opinions' these days. People write up elaborate reviews for anything and everything. Hahaha. -

Gahh! I'm jealous! -
The flower cart there is probably the most exciting Lego Store promo since Martian Manhunter. I'm pretty chuffed, actually. January is already chock full of 'need it' releases for me (my bank account is already cringing, hahaha), so the cart is just kind of gravy sauce on top. It'll look great in front the detective agency.

It really is fantastic, isn't it? The barn/copter is probably my favorite of the rebellion vehicles. It's just SO wacky. The minifigs in this set are fantastic. I love the silver sheen of the dental braces on the two teens. Classic stuff!

I'm kind of shocked at the responses here. I'm not all in for these Minecraft sets, but this one is a must have for me.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
klinton replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Agreed! There are hundreds of versions of Ultron, from Ultron 1 (just a tube with a face) through Ultrons the size of a house. They can literally go however they want with him, and it'd be cool. :D -
I'm not overly concerned about the pricing. These are all 'must buy', regardless of the pricing. Seriously, Lego could double those prices and these sets would still be irresistable. Hahaha.

Review Review: 70816 Benny's Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP!
klinton replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Why would you ever want to disable the wing function? It's seriously one of the greatest play features. Ever. Hahaha. Seiously, I pick up the Spaceship all the time just to fidgit with the wings. :p- 228 replies

Bricks cracking... just from being connected to one another?
klinton replied to Endgame's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've legit only ever had two parts break (two 1x1 grey claws). I don't have tonnes of sets like some of you though (only about 93, I think), so I may not be dipping in as large a pool. I can't imagine a part breaking on contact. The two parts I had break were from the Lego Movie Ice Cream Machine set, due to snapping the cones in and out of them every time I'd rebuild the alt model (I cannot decide on which I love more, hahaha). Other than that, even all of my little slopes are fine. I've checked and double checked them a few times, as I see threads like this around. Are you guys in overly humid or arid climates? It has to be environmental. If this were a perpetual problem with the bricks themselves, I would imagine I'd have encountered this by now. -
REVIEW: 70809 Lord Business' Evil Lair
klinton replied to Clone OPatra's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't quite understand the point of that, as it's literally impossible to build 'infinite' floors to make an accurate model. The set does benefit from being doubled up though, with a little bit of reverse tweaking. You're left with an 'arena' space between two sets of doors, a row of four 'think tank' cells, and a longer table in the board room. I left out the TAKOS sprayer on the second door setup, so it's now a functional door. I haven't yet rigged up something to do with the television studio section though (it was eliminated by connecting two sets). I'm thinking it'll have to be it's own 'mini-build', possibly on a plate from the Melting Room set.- 45 replies

I can't see why not. Printing it onto a flat part versus the slope piece they've already done doesn't seem like it should be an issue. It's just the robes from Young Vitruvius, identical to the one included with the Blu-ray. -

I don't really see SHIELD happening. Lego already has a very dynamic lineup of 'secret agents' with thier own in house Ultra Agents. SHEILD sets would be redundant, and impose a 'licencing' fee on them. Seriously, just snag some Ultra Agents sets and you're good. Switch out the decals for custom SHIELD logos if you want. You already have Fury too! :D -

Honestly, I assumed they (and the hat wearing aligators) were 'kragled'. I thought that was kind of the point? I could be wrong though. -

Bah. We got M.O.D.O.K. and he's not in any film. I hope we see Zola at some point. Even just in a side set, like this year's Cap vs Skull set. Don't rule him out. Zola's whole schtik is that he just uploads to a new body when you 'kill' him. -

It's not really necessary. It's a couch. It doesn't really require 'play features' outside of allwing minifigs to sit on it. The construction is also a wee bit different from the one in the film. I forget the differences (they're minor), but I remember noticing it when rewatching the movie after buying the Sea Cow. -

Nope. There are no compartments under the seats.
