Sure, Here it is. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/smitty500/starwars/aat/aat2.lxf I realized it was pretty puny after awhile, though not too far off. I'd say this is 30% smaller. I did end up finding some of the original rounded plates on bricklink, and bought those to put on. looks a lot better.

Looks like a tractor mixed with sci-fi space ship

don't own any of them, I prefer the 75149, just the traditional colors look better than orange and black, I have nothing against the color scheme. I think black and orange looks good when it is next to the standard color scheme, not by itself. Wish they would explain why he chose new colors. Mind blown .. good observation DarthTwoSheds.

My first LDD & Blender animation - Microfighter AAT
Smitty500 replied to BrickRemix's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Even though it was rather short this was great. I just took a class on Blender and it is the most challenging program to learn, (I just wanted to model for 3D printing) but I gave into using other programs that are more catered for 3D design, not animation. I would have to say this is a step below Doodle Pictures using Maya. Kudos to you! -
[MOC] [LXF] Minifig-scale Phantom from Star Wars Rebels
Smitty500 replied to ScottishDave's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Stunning! so sleek and smooth, with perfect edges. And crammed all the details from the show, like the bottom hatch (that's my favorite). I hope you can make a Ghost to haul this puppy, so many have attempted, but not gotten far.- 46 replies

Like everyone else has said, this is incredible! I never thought it was possible to pack so much detail inside a UCS scaled ISD. Your hard work has paid off. My favorite part is the hanger and the minified starships. that can fit inside. it kind of reminds me of AC Pin's Republic Cruiser from several years ago. with the V-wings popping out the front.

Wow! this is really cool. its a large vignette, with little tiny vignettes around it. I like the old-school bricky feel you had used for the centerpiece of it all, a technique rarely used anymore. The small vignettes around that capture key scenes in each movie, are an added bonus to what started it all. I thought about creating something similar to this, maybe someday I will. This is a great MOC, and excellent conversation piece. Where do you plan o display this?

I used a planet sphere for mine. though it might be a bit big for yours. Here is a brickbuilt version I had made before the planet sets came out.

not a big fan of the head. but it works. I like the shaping of the legs, and the toes came out good.

[MOC] Minifig-scaled Rebels GHOST & PHANTOM project
Smitty500 replied to TM_builds's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's a good start, I hope it's big enough. I know minifig scale is subjective, but it looks small in some areas. For instance, the cockpit looks a few studs too small, should be using an 8 stud spherical screen. The screen on top I believe is appropriate. Have you seen vstarvn's WIP of his Ghost? though he is not as far as you, his approach seems more in scale. I also noticed you did not have much structure to yours, so I hope this thing is sturdy. I am looking forward to what you come up with! -
[MOD] Jabba's Sail Barge 75020/6210 The Best of Both Worlds
Smitty500 replied to carnage717's topic in LEGO Star Wars
even though the newer one is more accurate in a smaller scale, like the nose and the slendernes. This one looks so much better, I do the like the older nose, as it is smoother and this one holds a more space for minifigs. -
This looks great! what made the light bulb flick on to give you the idea for this? the white looks like its a preliminary model for the movie. maybe you could've used the dark orange balloon slices and made a geonosian version of the droid, or be more obscure and make the space battle droids from Clone Wars.

Can Any one help me mod my 8098 Clone Turbo Tank (Clone Wars)
Smitty500 replied to shrak's topic in LEGO Star Wars
yes this is such a vague question. Like rollermonkey said, go find some mods online that people have already done. Here is my favorite one, also probably the best I have seen with this set. it is clean, gets most details correct, and mods are pretty simple. Am I done holding your hand? -
I think the use of the flags are a perfect piece for the sides, I am not a big fan of the toes for the feet. Those are the toughest part to get right.

If you have a decent picture already, you could send it to me and I can put one on for you. Half the community seems to have a copy of photoshop, and doesn't hurt to ask.

It's a good start. I would suggest using rounded plates instead of the wedge plates on the top. the only thing I am not a fan of is where the eye pieces are, there's too many studs. try tiling it, or use the technique they used on R2's head, where they just made the bricks slightly angled. other than that, it looks like a good start to a UCS Chopper

This is ironic, as I was wanting to build my own Slave 1 (Jango's version). I was experimenting to use the large semi-disc slopes as you did, but I would have trouble getting the 6x6 semi-disc slope, does not come in dark blue, to my knowledge. The surrounding slope area came out really smooth, its a great alternative method than to LEGOs original. Also, I would think using 1x3 slopes, instead 1x2 would look better. i think it looks too flat and might have a better transition from the windscreen and the rest of the trunk.

Incredible detail, you really payed attention to your source material. Everything is so smooth and cut clean, giving it that cleaved look when carving ice. My favorite part between all the custom ships are the lights in the ceiling, I don't know why, I just like that small amount of ceiling showing there. Also, the amount of 2x2x3 white slopes is startling to the wallet. unless you already had those on hand from previous MOCs

[MOC] [WIP] The Command of the AT-AT
Smitty500 replied to LiLmeFromDaFuture's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow. that's genius, this MOC is just chock full of little tiny techniques I would not have thought of. -
The progress is looking really good, I am liking the inside. its simple enough with the details like a real set would be. I hope you plan on adding more rooms where Kanan, Ashoka and Ezra get seperated, because the Dojo room was the coolest thing in the episode. Unfortunately, I cannot see LEGO making a set based on one episode of Rebels, the only time LEGO seems to make location based sets are when they are featured in a movie. But never the less, Keep at it.

Custom Darth Vader's Sith Interceptor Updated! - Made from Set
Smitty500 replied to carnage717's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This looks great. it's not just a reskin, there are some noteworthy mods here. I like the custom stickers on the wings and cockpit, the grey on black makes it fit. Did you use decals or sticker paper? -
[MOC] [LDD] Jedi Temple Dojo as seen in Rebels
Smitty500 replied to Devizz's topic in LEGO Star Wars
just watched the episode yesterday, looks spot on. I would love to see it in real bricks, but the renders are looking good. -
I have looked at this many times, and I am so in love with how smooth you got it too look. The Millennium Falcon would look great in this also!
-
This is exactly how I would want build my throne room, not too big and not too small, and has all the detail it needs. Good job.

I have only used Testors Decal paper, it's pretty decent stuff, if you know what you're doing. the only problem is that they come in 5.5"x8" (half the size of normal sheets). I found them at Hobby Lobby, you could probably get them at your local hobby shop.
