  1. This is easy. I like the start you have. One play feature I would want to see in this set would be the pods be attached to a wall/structure, and pulling a lever/pushing a button to eject the pod as if it's being flung at Yoda, I think Palpatines podium should be included as well. Some Minifigs Such as Royal Guards I think would be a great addition.
  2. Welcome to the forums! This looks awesome! I love the mostly SNOT design, Millennium Falcon looks a lot better without studs. and using the System scale cockpit helps bring it full circle. I like how the radar dish and other protrusions are neatly sculpted around with plates, just fits seamlessly. I feel the plates that go around the top need to slope a bit more rounded to give it that disk shape. but other than that the model is perfect. I would like to do a build like this someday. I don't feel your brass pieces are too far out of line from being a purist model, as long as they act the same a lego piece in it's place, though you did solder some together. Being a display only model, it's not like LEGO has never used metal in their displays for structure. Great work, Do you have a Flickr or something to visit?
  3. Great work! The ship is slowly growing on me. The shaping and everything looks appropriate. The added stickers on the window help a lot pulling the model together. The only thing I find wonky is the front bottom half of the ship, It might be the inverted sloped bricks. but the rest of the ship is well done and captures all the slopes and shapes. Well done!
  4. Hey Thire5! I remember always seeing these MOCs on Brickshelf back in the day and I would always look at them in admiration. I was never into the UCS back then. but looking back these are really good looking models for the time. My favorite would be the AT-TE, and I would say it would be partially inspiration for eventually making my own . It's easy to say your work has vastly improved. Do you plan on making anymore UCS ships in the future? (now I know why I couldn't find them in your Brickshelf folder..)
  5. I am sure that would look great next to the UCS Shuttle. Great job!
  6. Is this a Moc or a Mod? Has a most of the design from the new Y-wing set. The Body is the only thing changed.
  7. TLG(C)= The Lego Group (or Company) LDD= Lego Digital Designer You should ask this in the general questions section Forum Information Page. These are commonly used terms here. You may also see AFOL, which is Adult Fan of Lego. Now lets get back on topic.
  8. Looks great! I have a half-built V-wing with similar techniques, it does look a little stretched (vertically), over a good build.
  9. Should we be anymore surprised to what happens to LEGOs when they are dropped from a few feet higher than normal?
  10. Right! I was not aware of some of these rules. It all makes sense. Well with all the guidelines, you made a great model. I am very fond of the smoothness, and the striking color pallet, I can't look away. It looks a blast to swoop around. Good luck in the contest!
  11. Wonderfully designed! I did not see the double rotating cockpits at first, very cool. It looks really sturdy too. The back of the model is a little square/sharp compared to the nice smooth/rounded front. I may be a bit nit picky, but it looks a little on the fat end(probably has to be to fit all the features). Other than that it is spot on. Scale for this ship is hard to compare, So many different sources contradict each other, especially the Rebels vs. ROTJ, The rebels seems to be much bigger.
  12. A few non-canon features Off the top my head Count Dooku's Solar sailer, His Speeder being inside the Ship. (also the wings do not splay out like they should, this really bothered me) At-te Step ladder in the back. Also LEGOs first version of the AT-TE had a speeder crammed in back These were nice features though for playabilty
  13. I had incredible cross sections book and always knew that this was remote controlled. I disliked LEGO made this a seat for clones, it was a good play feature, that I never used. But I always liked my clones in the bay anyway. My one friend thought like you, and I tried convincing him it was a stupid spot for a person to sit, because you would be so vulnerable.
  14. Yes, Go to Google (or some search engine) and type "Lego Endor Mocs" You'll find tons of information
  15. Chihuahua. Cha-wa-wa. A small dog? You know,"Yo Quiero TacoBell?" google it.
  16. Literally, this won't work. The magnets only act as a cushion. They won't take the weight of the body off the legs, the weight literally still exists. It is the same idea as a spring, like the shock absorbers on a car. Also, I don't think you realize how many bricks are in this thing, and how this mass amount of bricks adds up. If Lilme attempted to motorize it, with the amount of detail he plans to cram in. It would be the equivalent of strapping a bowling ball to a chihuahua..
  17. Are you talking about the "anti-grav" magnetic suspension system? If so, unfortunately that won't work, The weight will still be there. The magnets will only help for suspension purposes, absorbing shock from the wheel/legs. Reversing polarity of magnets does not create true anti-gravity, as the mass is still there.
  18. Everything on here is just wonderful. from the greebling, to the cockpit. The cockpit though, just blows me a way. from afar the Y-wing cockpit looks so simple, but it's not, there are so many different tiny angles on it, and you seemed to have captured them all! You've done it again with the cutout panels lining the inner cockpit to hide the slanted slopes cupping the sides. Even more impressive you've put the same technique on the bottom, slanting it upward towards the nose! A lot of very unorthodox and illegal connections, but that's what makes it so dag'on accurate! I like how you made the body portion of it a lot thicker, compared to what Ive seen on other MOCs. an you kept the arms on the engines 1 stud wide! The best part about the engines is how you kept the long technic axles in place just by T-joints, it looks like they are going to fall off/out on take off. Amazing work again! Any other rebel ships going to come out of you?
  19. I motorized mIne, and was able to keep the front interior open for the most part. Of course, It's not as fancy as his, it can't steer. It's a bit slow, but with further mods a bigger motor can be installed.
  20. Are you allowed to give copies of these away?
  21. Pretty good, nice clear footage. If you think Stop-animation is a pain, you could try doing like a comic book type video. Each scene would have strong visuals, and you can narrate over it. Similar how they do storyboarding for movies. That is the feel I get when watching this.
  22. Oh man! all those slopes fit so perfect. Like they were meant to or something. Seriously incredible, my favorite part is the engines, as they were far less complex than I initially thought but am still impressed how simple it is. Cockpit is impressive, with the window breaks you managed to fit in.
  23. 2003, was nice, but like anyother set pre-2008 it is outdated. older building techniques can't compare to new model builds, what I like most about it though, is the posable legs. 2008 was my first large Star Wars set. I thought it was great, decent color scheme and finally had some new clone troopers to fill in the gap we've had since 2003. this set also had great play features. The hidden cannons on the side that fired, were very clever and made a great play feature. the interior also had a lot of room for extra troops. The 2014 version, while much smaller and lacked some of the great play features of the 2008. was far more accurate to the actual vehicle itself. If you like play features and interior space, then the 2008 one is better. But, if you like accuracy and looks, the 2014 takes the cake.
  24. I see what you mean, I can share your sentiment. I think the inverted slope did a much better job then. and I see the flex-tube! how sturdy are the wings? they look like the would flop around with not much supporting them.
