  1. Nice story. And I love the bicorn and shakos on dwarves. What set is that window piece from?
  2. Great job with the flames! And I like the posing and expression of the escaping Ulander.
  3. Fantastic Eagle! That brings back memories. I loved Space 1999.
  4. Good group. I like the back stories! I really like the look of Commander Grayson.
  5. Nice start! I like the diving helmet on the mermaid body.
  6. Great start! I really like the tricorn hat and epaulettes on the first one.
  7. Incredible! You really captured the art deco style. And then I saw the interior! Amazing inside and out!
  8. Great little MOC. Clean, compact temple, and I really like the trees.
  9. Fantastic MOC! You succeeded with your cliffs of another color! And all the features you built-in are impressive. You've really created something to inspire other builders.
  10. I like the ship and the bulding interior. I don't have a problem with the smallish sail. The vessel has character.
  11. I'm OK with sea monsters, like the kraken, and even voodoo islanders, but I wouldn't want those elements to be ever present. They have their niche. POTC is a good model for how far the extremes should go, but for the most part I just want a good quasi-historical setting. Definitely no Chima crews, although... ... I'd fit right in with such a crew.
  12. I am SO looking forward to this. I stumbled across some blue faction images on Brickshelf. Someone should re-title this thread "Brethren of the Brick Seas".
  13. Cool! Where was this picture taken? Thanks! The cannon balls are technic ball joints.
  14. Nice build! I think you captured the feel. And you used a camel!
  15. My first reaction was ... OMG! My second reaction was ... wow! Absolutely beautiful ship, and I love the fact you went 100% LEGO. The only thing that could be remotely criticized is that it only has two masts, but so what. And I love that first photo of the crow's nest!
  16. Thanks! I googled a lot of pictures of Spanish forts. I also referred to Osprey Publishing's book on the Spanish Main in their Fortress series. Just get a good idea of what it is you want to model, and I think the LEGO implications can be figured out. Ths thread already has three different approaches to building the low, angled fortress walls of this type of fort.
  17. Well done! And the sails are great!
  18. Great posing and expressions! And it is just that the cow is used against him.
  19. A busy scene, but clean at the same time. Great job packing in the detail! I especially like the bird and birdhouse in the tree.
  20. That gave me a good laugh! Great fig posing.
  21. Great desert scene. Fantastic cacti!
  22. Impressive! Great detail throughout. I especially like the crosssbow.
  23. Great job on the cave!
  24. Good scene. The Ulanders are posed well. And I second blufiji; the forced persoective of the last shot is well done!
  25. Best LEGO beheading I've seen! I love the trail of blood.
