  3. Weelond, like Bardo, is a company town, and the company keeps it busy! At the MCTC warehouse, cargo handlers are busy sorting crates and barrels of the latest trade goods. Trade is the lifeblood of this settlement on An Holli. Corn, cotton, and textiles are the primary exports currently (although there are rumors that rum and ale may soon be produced locally), and various exotic foodstuffs and equipment are imported. Local MCTC officials are anxious to see more properties go up in Weelond. * * * * * A couple of new pictures have surfaced of this warehouse. Apparently there's more to it than initially illustrated. The warehouse extends well back from the street front. A side alley allows the workers to move goods out of the main street while they work. But they better watch what they're doing. Two pigs have escaped!
  4. That is a fantastically shaped ship. I'm going to have to study it closer. Very impressive. And the scene and story are the perfect way to show her off. Well done!
  5. I like it. The figure head is an instant classic! Bregir has some good comments re rigging in particular, but this is a fine first ship.
  6. Nice little ship. It looks sleek, befitting a "fast" ship. The use of the sand green pieces adds a nice accent.
  7. Wow, that's a lot of Cuervo! Welcome to all -- drinks are on you.
  8. I like it. Nice use of the Viking longboat hull.
  9. Nice building, although I have to agree the flags make it a bit top-heavy, and tiles would be easier on the feet. As for the story, parenthood ain't easy! I approve.
  10. Thanks to all for the comments and feedback. As for the grass, I don't know what detail I could have added that the goat wouldn't have eaten!
  11. Sir Stig, I've been working on my own model of a Spinning Jenny, and you've done a fantastic job! I'll be stealing some ideas from this. Just incredible! As for the building, it's beautiful! I love the windows, you've got lots of textures, and the roof is surprisingly effective. I fear my still-under-construction textile mill will pale in comparison. Well done!
  12. Nice little ship. I like your creative use of parts: grappling hook for an anchor, wagon wheel for the ship's wheel, and the small cannon are well done. Figure head (and ship name) are very good, and I like the ship colors overall. I will echo Captain Dee on one point: she needs a sail hanging from that mostly out-of-the picture spar (a simple sail cut from construction paper would be fine). Very nice!
  13. Nice ship! She looks like she has a shallow draft, and so could navigate inland on some rivers. I like the stern decoration, and the pith helmets. But my favorite feature is the sails. Well done! I approve.
  14. Nice house! I like the story. The ivy is a great detail!
  15. A small residence in Bardo.
  16. If you like this build and are not from Eslandola, please note your approval or give it a thumbs up. Thanks. Here is the small home of Jacob Hendriksen in Bardo on the island of An Toli. While Jacob is at sea much of the time as a member of the crew of the Lady of Madrice (a fine sloop in the service of the MCTC, skippered by Philip Janszen), his wife, Maritje, keeps a tidy little home. She has a goat and chickens in the side yard for fresh milk and eggs. Furnishings are sparse, with a table and chairs downstairs and a bed, dresser, and stool upstairs. The bed is covered by one of Maritje’s handmade quilts. A large fireplace downstairs can be used for cooking. All in all, it is a simple home, but enough for a quiet, comfortable life while awaiting Jacob’s return.
  17. Nice story. A daring rescue is a great start to a Sea Rats' tale!
  18. Lovely harbor scene! Lots of activity. I like your photography of the fisherman coming in and the officer saying goodbye to his beloved. The building on the right doesn't quite feel like it fits with the two buildings on the left, but I still the scene overall.Good job!
  19. Kai NRG, I posted this question in the overall BoBS intro thread, but I'll ask it here as well, hoping you might know the answer. Is there any way we can confirm that licenses we've submitted have gone through ok and see our individual current ledgers?
  20. Clean build. Nice looking ship. I approve.
  21. Is there any way to confirm that submitted licenses have gone through ok and have been processed correctly? Any way to see our individual ledgers, so to speak?
  22. A fitting tribute! I applaud you for honoring such a long-serving vessel. Nicely done. And I think your attempt to add some foam to the sea worked well.
