Nice work on the tree, the bottom section especially looks very organic with the large wedge piece and the vines.

This is awesome! Love all the vases and urns, as well as the spike trap and the little skeleton alcoves!

Welcome to the guilds! Very nice work on the shape of the building, with the angled lower section and steep roofs. I don’t really love the patchwork color dark blue/ light bley stonework, but that’s more my personal preference/ style and you did a good job blending them and have incorporated some nice texturing / sideways building in there. Overall a great build and I can’t wait to see more!

[Freebuild - GoH 11 Overdue] Ore trading post

Nice work on the tower and building! I especially like the roof, with the snow piles. The brick built animals look really cool, they look goofy in a good away, especially the huge pig 😆. -
Excellent build. The outside looks very nice; I especially like the eerie Nocturnian looking flower. The inside is also awesome and I really like the display window and cabinet that you noted, as well as the other details and little scattered furniture. It looks really cozy and packed with details!

Nice build! I like the horizontal layout of the cavern area and the nice little cave details like the stalactites and mushrooms. The moving gears and lighting also really add to the atmosphere. Also not sure if it’s just a side effect of you lighting setup and not intentional, but I really like how the foreground with the bridge and characters is well illuminated while the back of the cave is more dimly lit by the lights and feels like a gloomy cave.

On her journey into the West, Aloy stumbled across some ruins of the old ones on the beachside. After a quick salvage and repair, she now has a blaze-powered grill ready for some BBQ! -
Lots of nice details here, like the small mushrooms on the tree. Great work on the figs too!

Neat work on the miniland scale! I like the minotaur head, not 100% sold on the landscape tho.

Sanctuary of light [Dandelume, Avalonia]
LordDan replied to T-86(swebrickLUG)'s topic in Guilds of Historica
This is excellent! I really like the tree and sanctuary area, and the round building with lighting is great! -
Great work on the gateway! It looks distinctly dwarven with the angled pieces incorporated into the architecture.

On the moon of Cephalus IV, a small lunar outpost stands alone amidst a strange landscape… Notes: I built this for my LUGs quarterly build challenge, which was lunar based themed. It is built as a modular section, so ideally I can connect it with other modules once I build more to create a larger base. I really burned through my supply of coral parts with this moc This is my first space themed build since 2016 (Since Andromeda's Gates). Hope you enjoy!

I love the orange and grey color scheme, along with the really cool shaping! Also nice work on the bounty hunter fig too!
-
Cool base! My first thought when I saw this is that it reminded me of set 6520, with the blue hinged opening command base and 2 smaller vehicles accompanying it.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
LordDan replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That set looks really interesting, lots of cool colors and parts. But $160 for only 1000 pieces? I guess its due to the larger parts and loads of figures, but still -
Great build! I love the clouds at the base and the staircase!

[MOC] Hanging Temple of the Big Foot Buddha
LordDan replied to Berthil's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This is great! I love the ornate temple build, and the comic is super fun! -
Excellent remake! I think the clearer separation of colors helps a ton, as well as having it be a more open space compared to the old one with the chandelier and pillars in the middle. I love all the different ingredients around, and the stuff hanging from the ceiling is a fantastic touch! The flickering fireplace is also super cool, it’s super creative how incorporated the standard light bricks and created a method to make them flicker. I think if you made the fireplace opening 1-2 studs taller it would help being able to see the flames inside. The floor technique is also fantastic! Also, “it’s sorta the opposite way you would expect a hook to catch a fish” had me dying
