This is definitely a great build, IMO! I love the bubbling swamp water, the sideways studded sections of the wall are very unique and look good, and the interior is very nice ( I also like the roof techniques used there). I remember seeing this awhile ago on Flickr, but itβs good to see it here with a full story and details!

Epic micro build! It looks so cool with the dome in place, even with the reflection!

Gotta love a classic secret hideout behind a waterfall I like the tree design and the use of the clear canopy as the waterfall!

Once again, Dan finds himself in Nocturnus, this time investigating rumors of a clan of Vampires that had been crossing the border into Avalonia and preying on its citizens. During his trip, Dan ran across a mysterious fellow traveler. After a tense first meeting, Dan learned that the traveler's name was Trevor and that he was a vampire hunter. Together, they set out for a suspicious castle nearby, and now find themselves fighting for their lives against a host of vampire soldiers ( Who seem to be a bit less hospitable than those from Shadowmere ) Notes: This build was inspired by the vampire survival game V Rising and the Castlevania series on Netflix. C & C appreciated

Or just say your sigifig is an adventurer and have them pop up in a different guild every build

Nice to see the whole army together! All the units are very distinct, and I'm a big fan of the gyrocopter!

Thank you! I'm super happy with the samurai helmet torches, I had the idea from a previous scrapped MOC and finally got around to using it! I even added some lighting to the torches now! Thanks! I tried to make the "evil side" feel like it was originally owned by Morcia, but became run down and neglected once Vladek's forces took over. Thanks! I definitely agree it was one of the better sets from KKII! -
The huge redwood-like trees are very nicely done!

Cool scene!! I really like the rippling water on the surface and the wide variety of sea life you managed to include(especially the lobster pinching Katalina π). I know you mostly stick to figbarfing, but itβs great to see some scenes like this from you and hopefully you build some more larger buildings in the future!

Beautiful build! The landscape with the rock work and snow work is great, and the red bridge is super eye catching!

Meeting with Haldor, the Master Builder of Bridges
LordDan replied to Simon_S's topic in Guilds of Historica
Gorgeous bridge and entertaining story! The manor's interior is also super fun to look through, I love the mini models of the castle and bridge . My only critique is that I'm not a huge fan of this style of rockwork, with all the large parts, but that's more of a personal preference -

Super fun build! The dark green works surprisingly well as stonework! -
Epic tree, and very fitting of Nocturnus! I love the cool parts used!

βThe quest of the Knights has led them to the border of the Desolate Moorlands! Santis has discovered a rickety vine bridge and an evil Shadow Knight who guards the Key to the Citadel. The only way across is to hurl a boulder with all of the mighty Knight's strength! Can Santis prevail, or will the Shadow Knight be victorious?β I incorporated the trapdoor feature from the original set and here's the dungeon where the heroic knights formerly stationed at this outpost met their end. ( I guess this is where all the missing generic knights were throughout the sets ) Notes: Everyone knows that Knights' Kingdoms II is objectively the best LEGO Castle theme ever () , but there are very few MOCs set in this theme. This is a reimagining of set 8778 Border Ambush from 2004. It was one of my favorite sets as a kid, but looking back it was a little... lackluster. I recently built a micro version of this set, and saw the bridging the gap category for the Summer Joust, and I decided " Why don't I build this set the way I always imagined it looked like?" Here's some additional pictures:

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
LordDan replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Personally, 6 year old me loved Knights Kingdom II and thought it was the best castle theme of all time. I loved the play features, story told through the comics in the instruction booklets and artwork, Etc . Looking back now, a lot of the sets are pretty sparse of detail and the super bright colored knights are a little off putting, but I love all the heraldry, shields, unique helmet designs, etc. -
Lovely build! The staircase is super cool, and I like the variety of trees here, including the really unique ones with the hero factory parts.

Thanks! I didn't really plan out having a cellar, I started with the stone staircase and realized that I would have space under the main floor for a basement. Thanks! Thanks! It actually sits on my bookshelf right now Thanks! I posted it on Flickr a few months ago so you probably saw it there. I'm super happy with how the roof came out, I'm glad you noticed! Thank you! The cat waiting outside the mousehole was one of my favorite little details to add
