Next: Far Horizons Salvage and Shipworks |~+=@&@=+~|~+=@&@=+~|~+=@&@=+~| Log Entry Day 166 Port of Bastion License type: Factory (small) Capt. Rhys Flaidd DeTaillefer There was quite a stir of excitement at the pier today. A piece of equipment was being unloaded from the ship that arrived yesterday morning... Strange Freight.... on Flickr It belonged to one Pavel Galerkin, who has been moving in down the way...he gave me a quick tour of his shop... The Bastion Otchet on Flickr The device enables him to fashion regular print to paper...and in great quantity...all nearly identical! бастион отчет - Pavel Galerkin inspects a proof on Flickr He calls it "The Bastion Otchet" and it is to be some sort of regular account of the comings and goings of our bustling community. бастион отчет - Galerkin Printing Press gears on Flickr While that sounded grand and quite practical....I could only bask in the realization that we could use this monstrosity to make dependable maps and ship plans.... 3. Just been following the technology conversation, and found this "Timeline of Historic Inventions" on Wikipedia that might help..... That being said....lots of "modern technologies" were touched on, even in ancient times, often forgotten to the ages or misunderstood as a whimsy rather than a tool or machine. There was also the lack of organization in the refinement of materials....which, one could argue, cannot come about until the alchemists come out of the shadows and become chemists proper....
  4. How about a "progressive" system where once you do a "winning" or "approved" build where you hunt a "Rodian," you would then unlock the ability to build another "Rodian" hunt on a different planet? Or...for more difficulty, perhaps you would have to do an approved build of each of the aliens from a tier (like both Rodian and Geonosian), then unlock the ability to build hunts for those aliens on other planets...
  5. Great idea...I added a "last and next story" link to my posts as well.... I had an idea of MOC'ing a little printing office....a newspaper for Bastion, so to speak...and also start a post thread for it's stories and archive.....which would, of course, be a guide to all of the Sea Rats story lines and builds and interactions with other factions.....sort of along the lines of the ship broker and ship index post ideas.... In the Meantime....a little Sea Rats Pride: Sea Rats 4 Life..... by Christopher Briggs, on Flickr
  6. It just plain ROCKS! I had thought about a "loom" in conjunction with the sail company...but with a textile factory...there's no need! Perhaps I can trade ye some fine rum? Approved!
  7. I agree...I use them all the time....I figure the horizontal planking is done by the hull pieces....and palisades give it that look of "fortress at sea" as well! Arrrrgh, A fine Piraaty approval fer ya!
  8. Very nice interior and exterior details! I gotta go bricklink some goats now.....
  9. Very neat! I like the little "sun dogs" you added on the sun. Approved!
  10. I may be wrong....but from what I understand "speed" does not effect how the ships travel from port to port.....but dictates the number of ports they may visit and is also used as a modifier in whether or not it can "outrun" a predator... Is that right? Like I said, I could be wrong....but that is the way I understood it.
  11. ooooh! Nice underwater action...I dig that diving helmet!
  12. Foistly.....I approve! Beware the Oleander Zealot! lol That's why you use naked ladies....lol, just screen for pubes!
  13. Great use of the chain for pulling up the palisades! I always love good use of a chain!
  14. Can't wait to see the out come! ( I think that " Prêt?" should possibly be "Prêts?" unless the judge is only addressing one of the participants....although one participant is female, so "Prêtes?"....golly, french is hard!....lol )
  15. I really dig that sand green roof tiling.... has a nice weathered feel....like slate covered in lichens....
  16. Beautiful boat! Arrrgh! Me looks forward to sinkin' her!
  17. That's real nifty right there....I dig both shots....very creative....whatever it is you did!

  21. "I remember way back then when Everything was true and when We would have such a very good time Such a fine time Such a happy time And I remember how we'd play Simply waste the day away Then we'd say Nothing would come between us Two dreamers" Very nice build...and one of my favorite bands...lol
  22. The posing of the natives is brilliant...I can almost see them hopping up and down, cartoon-like, as they move! lol
  23. How did you make the little sigfig with flags insert? ....and can we get it in a widget so all factions can make one?
