Hooray! It's still here! 'Murica forever! I can't wait to get home to see if my toaster has been updated. -
That goes double for me!

Very clever! It took me a second to realize what I was looking at. Awesome job!

Well, if Brickset said it, it must be true. I'm really not liking the "new" helmets for the figs. It looks to be a normal head. That's strange...it must be Winzar in disguise with a cheap rubber mask on! Yeah, that's gotta be it. He's trying to infiltrate the CHI Temple by posing as an innocent and cuddly bunny.

Wow deminimus. Those are great mini models! I like the mini Corporate Alliance Droid Tanks. -

I'm sure TLG isn't giving in to these people. It's so easy to offend people these days and this is just a lame example of it. I really wish that TLG would've just shrugged off this supped complaint altogether. I'd be willing to bet my entire collection that none of those TCAers even buy/like LEGO, so, in tat regard, who really cares... Theres plenty of toys and other stuff I don't like and could find offense in, but I don't care about it's existence enough to whine. They really need to find something better to do with their lives... -
I don't have any particular habits except putting the bags in piles, much like Penkid11, separate all bags. I usually have TV on, but that's because I watch too much TV.

I must say, it's about time! The new header makes me think of the phrase from two great philosophers, Matt Stone & Trey Parker... "America! F*ck Yeah! -
Not! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for one to open near me. 2+ hours is a pain. Especially because I'm terrible with directions . I know I'd be there at least a few times a week, just window shopping/planning. But, I could take better advantage of the deals they have. But, I do see your point. I guess you need more willpower. You could get a part time job and get paid in sets!

That's awesome for your first one! I like the outside, very decorative. Nice use of those car grills. Nice entryway as well.

Looks great so far. A nice mix of old and new. I like your solution for connecting road plates. I'm on the hunt for A LOT of 2x2 dark bley tikes.

8BrickMario...hilarious! It's a FRAP! I'd like an Ackbar App that said his infamous line with the push of a button. That would be awesome.

Me too! Great job, love Ron pose/face. Nice job with the figs. All kinds of action shots.

Ah, touché. that's true. But in our eyes, it's the real deal. -

MegaBloks(and the like) is non official when speaking about TLG. They're clone brands. Go take a look in Community, some people despise MB, while others tolerate their existence. -
D'oh! Went and got (almost) all Superior Spider-man issues...except #1. So, now I have to wait to start reading till I can track it down.

Coming from someone who finally got over the house showing, I feel your pain. I dreaded when people came with kids. At Thanksgiving, my two cousins were touching both 10225 R2-D2 and 10228 Haunted House. I hovered over them and watched them like a hawk! I was so nervous when they're little fingers were messing with Artoo. Luckily, no harm came to him or the house. I'm just glad they stayed out of my room, thank God for a slightly paranoid mom who doesn't let them get too far out of her sight.

Looking good! After moving to a new(smaller) house, I certainly envy your dedicated room. I'm now confined to my room, whereas I had sets littered in multiple rooms. I have a few shelves and have started organizing, but I didn't realize just how many big bins I have...Ugh. And about 2 dozen unopened sets, mainly medium and big sets too.

Anything that comes from TLG's factories is purist. All those businesses you mentioned are third party customs. While they do/may use official figs as their platform, they still use custom prints. It's the same as painting a minifig, you're changing it's original state. Expanding on the car analogy and to your recent point, Batbrick. Brickarms and such are customizers, just the same as a company who makes body kits or wheels or mirrors for cars. Sure, they fit on and are made for said car, but they don't have the company brand to go with it. I don't think third party items are any less than official items, just another part of the hobby. -
I've recently rekindled my affections for comics. How about some good recommendations? My mainstay is Spawn. I've been with him since the beginning up until about the 150's. I've just about caught up with him again, just a few holes to fill. I have a few other odds and ends that I liked the covers of, but never really got into anything else.

I too saw Olympus. It definitely was action from beginning to end. I enjoyed it, all the shoot outs we cool. Crazy concept/plot though.
-
I guess you could say I collect both. While I missed a lot of UCS in the Dark Days, I started with 10225 R2-D2. Granted he is my only one, I would get others. While I'm a big SW fan none of the ships interest me enough to buy them. I do like the ships, just not enough to spend that kind of cash when theres many other System sets I'd rather have. Now, a Slave I would be another thing completely.

75000 Clone Troopers vs Droidekas x2. I like that we got some more plain white clones. I haven't compared the prints to the CW ones, but they don't appear to be any different. I think the helmet prints may be slightly different. I don't care so much for the Droidekas.

I think it's a great set. While I don't really play with them...much . I did roll it around a bit and what not. Nothing fell off or anything, so I'd be in the sturdy crowd. A definite plus for being able to go on train tracks.

Hmm...interesting. LEGOhas no control over secondary market prices. Nor do they put certain figs in big sets because they'll sell for more on eBay... Now, as for 'to Death Star or not to Death Star', not everyone, myself included, are into MOCing. I definitely prefer the designers to make the sets, because for me personally, they can do it better. It's not like having a set model is something new. Sure, they had alternate models on the back of the box, but the front still had the primary build with instructions. I think it's great to have the Licensed themes around as well, they certainly helped TLG rise to the top. I still prefer the original themes. As for spoilers, I can take them or leave them. Of course, knowing what's coming helps in planning out the years purchases.
