  1. That Cyclops is awesome! Nice job on all of these. Before I wen clicked on this, I knew which hair she'd be sporting, perfect for her.
  2. Um...Justin Beiber?
  3. Just because there's a shirt on the rack, doesn't mean kids love the show. This. I don't even know how long it's been since I've seen Simpsons toys. Whether that be in TRU/Target or in Happy Meal toys at fast food joints. It may just be my area, I don't know, but they don't seem very relevant lately among the kids.
  4. Neat city. You really have a lot going on, very busy. I would clean up the streets a bit of some of those vehicles. Looks very cluttered. The buildings are laid out nicely. 4996 Beach House could due with a repositioning, I think. It just seems awkward that their front door is practically inside that car wash/gas station.
  5. This would be the only redeeming quality for me. Adding the Simpsons home and the Kwik-E-Mart, depending on price and how the set actually looked, would I buy them. As a whole, I'm not too excited by this. I don't really see longevity in this. I suppose that's something for us nay sayers, it'll more than likely be a one and done theme. In the end, at least I'll have more money for other sets.
  6. I'm really not a fan of bugs...but I gotta admit, these bugs I can handle. As always, you both have such creative ways of using pieces. And the outcome is fantastic and in this case, realistic. Great job!
  7. I'm not so sure about this either. I know TV as a whole has become more...accepting of racy/adult themes, but I remember when the Simpsons first started my parents wouldn't let me watch, because of it's content. Also, kids today(clearly not all, but a lot) are seeing way more on TV/movies/video games than I did as a kid. So, I suppose Simpsons aren't out of the realm of possibilities for TLG.
  8. Great update! The brick built streets look great. I see you've done some eBay purchases(Chilis, Taco Bell, McDs). Looking good.
  9. Haha! This is great. Except, he shouldn't be kicking him into water, he'll just swim back up. It should just be an abyss like in the movie.
  10. As far as Crooler getting the crown, Crominus wasn't wearing it in the unknown croc vehicle when they fell into the sinkhole. I still don't see why you're making such a big deal of good guy/bad guy split... There always is good and bad guys in LEGO, especially action themes.
  11. Indeed, congrats to the winners. Awesome entries chosen.
  12. Well, you must not pay very close attention to the show... *Spoiler ahead for those who haven't watched*-can't remember how to do spoiler tags... Cragger becomes king when his parents plummets down when the ground breaks apart. He's sitting on the throne and his sister gives him the crown.
  13. Oh cruel world! I was at TRU and spent $45, but they had no polybags!
  14. Either she had that Durango packed with stuff or those were some big a$$ totes that she needed to strap them to the roof. 11 or 31...I'd be crying my eyes out if this happened to me.
  15. When you mentioned cars, this was the set I instantly thought of. To get a better look at the set and to get an overall feel for it, check the review of it in Special, if you haven't already. I typically only get Creator houses, but after reading the review I'm going to be buying it as well.
  16. Just finished building the Tumbler from 76001, and I've got to say...it's not a worthy successor to 7888. For what it is, it's a neat vehicle, however. Oh, and I agree with Omicron. Other than having the name Wolverine in it's title, there's absolutely nothing to connect it with the movie.
  17. 76001 The Bat vs. Bane: Tumbler Chase
  18. I'm just happy to be getting another RGS. I regret only buying one 7676. I'll have to wait to pass final judgement once I get 75021 in front of me. But, just given the way that LEGO designs, for the most part, have progressed I think 75021 will surpass 7676.
  19. Wow Lasse, those are awesome and make me very jealous! The closest I have to wooden LEGO toys is a photo of the duck.
  20. I stopped reading this thread about halfway through page 23. I missed quite a bit of the season, it seems. Like Embo cruising in the snow on his disc hat. Where would be the best place to see full episodes?
  21. I'm guessing here, but lions are typically portrayed as heroes/good guys. Thundercats, Aslan in Narnia, almost all heraldry in LEGO Castle is lions. I'm sure there's more examples, but it seems in media aimed at kids(for the most part) lions are typically good.
  22. Great little scene. Merry and Pippins faces are priceless. Even with the minimal posing options of Hobbits, you did a great job portraying their emotions in that scene. Nice landscape as well, those plant pieces stacked up make some great looking bushes.
  23. Awesome shot! It definitely is nice to see some love for HP. I'm loving the persecutive and the little Hogwarts Express.
  24. Not sure how much you're looking to spend, but I recommend 79101 Shredders Dragon Bike 79102 Stealth Shell 79104 The Shellraiser Street Chase With those three you get all 4 Turtles, Shredder, Dogpound, Fishface, a Kraang bot & 3 Foot. That's a great assortment of main characters, just missing April and Splinter.
  25. Mine is 6066 Camouflaged Outpost from 1987 that I repurchased in '07 after seeing the light(along with most other Forestmen and Ninja sets). That was an expensive first month of LEGO...
