  1. Bahaha! Thats awesome, Oky. I love Vaders pose, priceless! It's kind of like us AFOLs getting caught playing with our LEGO.
  2. Awesome! What a way to make your SW MOC comeback. Those are all great vigs, very humorous.
  3. Nice, Oky. The amount of tribes in Chima is getting out of hand. I love the second one with the esteemed artist. He looks quite dignified in that beret.
  4. brickbuildr.com- as long as someone has updated it lately, it'll tell you what is at any store.
  5. I'm at a really bad crossroads. I REALLY want the Starcraft sets, but buying them would only take away from buying LEGO. I wish TLG would've got that license.
  6. Awesome! This will always be near and dear to me. It was the reason I got back into LEGO. It is such a fantastic set. You made a wise purchase, even though it probably set you back a bit. Have fun!
  7. Seeing that chrome red keychain(and remembering gold chrome piece/figs), I can just imagine how awesome a chrome Ironman would be. If this theme stands the test of time, we better get one.
  8. Lovely start. I really like your construction cones.
  9. That's a pretty cool set. I think you really need to decide if that price is worth it to you. I'd say, if you want it bad enough, get it. I've done it before, paid more than I probably should've. It all depends on how bad you want it. Yay! Status upgrade! 4000 posts!
  10. I have a photo saved on my iPad of probably that same mold(a 2x3 mold, but no pieces in it). Not sure where I originally saw it.
  11. With this kind of question I typically give the same answer, buy the oldest first. Especially if you plan on buying them all, which let's be honest, once you start collecting Modulars, you can't stop. Go with 10197 Fire Brigade.
  12. Ooh, I love the teaser pics! I'm reminded of your Naboo Hangar...and wow, I was blown away. And this, with the awesome RGS and all, I can't wait.
  13. But, the fig is based on the cartoon and Jackson has nothing to do with that. There is a chance, I suppose that we could see a Jackson Fury(when and if they make more Avengers sets per Avengers sequel). I mean, we do have a CW Mace and an movie Mace.
  14. We've seen Leatherhead, Rat King and Metalhead. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the iconic/well known characters. I'm hoping for Casey Jones.
  15. This right here. What exactly are minifigs if not LEGO? I guess TLG has been messing with us all these years...
  16. 70705 Bug Obliterator
  17. So, I'm guessing since the lack of Turtles at Toy Fair that TMNT is in the dreaded 'one and done' category...
  18. The vehicles have everything to do with the movie(s), which is what the sets are based on. Sure, they may not be the best looking boat, helicopter(both of which I like, the boat is something different than we've seen in City). They have studio models to base them and price points to worry about, it's not like they just build to their hearts content and price them afterwards. I'm not overly impressed with the finished models, but photos typically don't do sets justice. You can't always tell building techniques, or the build in general. You really should wait to make a final judgement when you have them built sitting in front of you.
  19. Its really upsetting for my wallet that TLG is putting out so many great sets/themes. I know some people frown at the detailed figs, but I think they're brilliant. They're no different than detailed set designs we get, everything is getting better. Chima is definitely some of the best figs(collectively) that LEGO has ever produced. After seeing the Toy Fair pics, seeing what they're coming out with, especially in Galaxy Squad, there isn't one set in this theme that I don't want. If there wasn't so many other sets I wanted this year, I would buy doubles of the entire theme.
  20. So...because the product is profitable, you think they don't care if it sells well? That doesn't make much sense. If the QC continues to decline in peoples eyes and that word spreads around, people(like has been said here) they'll stop buying. Now, depending on the spending habits of the people who give up on TLG, they may see a dip in profits.
  21. I agree with Duq. I am always kicking myself for not keeping my childhood sets. I spent a good amount reclaiming some of them. That money could've gone to more new stuff. I'm a car guy as well and I love modding my car, but I wouldn't sell any of my collection to do so. I guess you need to think on which you enjoy more, your LEGO or your car.
  22. Ooh, our first nugget of info. A 10193-esque one could be possible, price wise.
  23. I'm with you. I just build a landscape. I have the white 1x4 picket fence pieces for the Creator houses, a ton of flower stems to use as grass, still working on getting 2x2 dark bley tiles for sidewalks.
  24. This is more of a 'how much longer do I have to buy?' There's still a few '12 sets I want to get, 4207 Garage, 9450 Epic Dragon Battle & 6864 Two Face Chase. But, I can't wait to pick up 10232 and Chima/Galaxy Squad. I'm guessing I still have at least a couple of months...anyone have a more definitive answer?
  25. Yeah, the photo you posted a ways down on the first page, with this and other MOCs.
