Nothing too exciting, just working on the finishing touches of my rebuilt tabletop town. It was a bit of a pain getting the street layout how I really liked it with the sets used. I'm going to have a problem when the next Modular is released, however.

It seems weird that have the whole family, and then some, in one set. That's not how LEGO seems to be doing things. Now, I don't know conversion, but let's take 79103 Turtle Lair Attack. It's $50 USD and has 5 figs. That would be the set I would've imagined to have all turtles included, much like the Simpsons house 'should' have the whole family. I suppose time will tell.

Hmmm...clearance eh? May have to check my Targets, still need 79103 Turtle Lair Attack & 79105 Baxters Robot Rampage.

Missing/damaged parts or minifigures in new sets

That just sounds like an employee opening the bigger box a little too carelessly. It would be extremely difficult to steal pieces at a LEGO store. For one thing, there's no aisles, so all the employees, of which there is always many, can see everyone. And, there's almost always one greeting/walking around asking if anyone needs help. -
I'm not a LUG member. There is a group that is a few hours away but I haven't joined yet because I'm terrible with directions so getting to meetings and such would be interesting. I keep up with what's going on with them via their site and am planning to attend the local show either this or next year.

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like

Started watching Sword Art Onlne on Adult Swim a couple of weeks ago. Cool story and concept thus far. Movie The Girl Who Leapt Through Time was excellent. Really great story. -
I thought that too. I remember Mariko from the anime and Logan dressing like a hobo(movie wise sans the red leather jacket).

I don't know much about Silver Samurai minus what I've seen of him in the 90's cartoon and from trading cards of yesteryear. I didn't realize till I looked into his origin how that family was tied to him. I meant more along the lines of it being a huge cyborg type Samuari as opposed to a person in armor. Is the movie one accurate to another universe Samurai? I didn't like the way Electro looked in ASM2, then someone pointed out that's more or less his Ultimate look.

We really need a 2-pack of four way intersection roadplates. I don't nearly have enough sitting on my floor as is.

I'd go with option 2. Get the current sets now, then the others when they're available later on.

Former SAP exec's scheme to get LEGO for cheap
Vindicare replied to Mike S's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It didn't say in the link, but I believe he did this at a Target. There's really no way a cashier would realize the off price(s), unless they're AFOLs themselves, because they scan so mnay different items in those stores. -
Wolverine. Definitely better than Origins, light years. Typical Marvel movie, lots of action dusted with comedy. The fight scenes, for the most part, were awesome. Not so much a fan of how they portrayed Silver Samurai, seems to be a trend(Mandarin...) Hopefully they stop that. 9.99/10 See it.

Found it. Apparently they should've been read inbetween issue of AoU. For instance, it starts issue 1 & 2 of Age, then the FF Tie-In. Heh, oh well. Guess I'll just read the tie-ins and when I decide to re-read the series I'll do so in the correct order.

*capped parts are because I'm on an iPad and can't remember how to bold text* You do remember Catwoman in that black leather, right? Right?!

Hmm..if what that employee said is true, that's a bit of a bummer. I was planning on buying another but I have other sets to buy before it. I'd be interested to see what you come up with.

I'm with you. I brought this up in the MCU, costumes. I don't get why they do this kind of crap? Sure, Foxx's Electro looks cool and all, but that is not Electro, in my eyes. I just wish they'd make ALL comic characters as they should be. This Electro isn't like an alternate universe(Ultimates or such), is he?

I've tracked down all but 3 tie-ins. Is there a particular order they should be read in?

Wow...this is stunning. All the mech bits added around are brilliant. The crank on the well was just great. That little walker-fantastic. Using the Chima Raven masks we're ingenious. The whole build is awe inspiring.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Vindicare replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
For me I have about the same size table. The way I have them arranged at the moment is, I can fit 21 32x32 baseplates on the table(7 by 3). I basically have them lined up in order, CC, MS, GG, FB, GE on the right side with 2 street plates at both ends. The middle row is all street plates. Then on the left side I have street plate, 10228 Haunted House and another street plate. Then PS, TH, PC and another street plate. It gives a nice main street look to the display and with the street plates it makes it easy to add another table and continue the layout without having to rearrange things. -
I wanna know what kind of super powers he got?
-
I like the layout. Great little houses framed by the Modulars is a neat idea. And breaking up the Modulars definitely makes for a more interesting street layout design.
