  1. My guess would be people may print out A-model instructions and try to sell them as genuine.
  2. It is the building experience, except when the joy of anticipation of marveling at the finished model is destroyed because of one's own stupidity mistake.
  3. True, even a professional like Sariel, as demonstrated by the backwards panels on the rear bumper in his 42030 review video I often mistake 8t gears and 12t double bevel gears for each other, lucky for me it's rather easy to spot
  4. 42009 C-model? That's a big project to take on. I hope it is as awesome as this one :)
  5. If the actual number is different, then your MOC is wrong
  6. you built this AND organized a contest? kudos! :)
  7. I've been working on the front axle&body and It is much sturdier now. I've also increased the overall length, rear axle is reinforced and pushed back, and front axle is grown in size. I like how the front looks. I've also decided to use 42027. The amount of green parts will sure come in handy. Agreed, I'll try pf'ing this when the contest is finished, if I am satisfied with the result.
  8. Thanks. I am eager to build it too, unfortunately I can only build for 1 or 2 hours on some days of the week, so progress is a little slow. Yes, that is correct. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I edited the ambigious sentence
  9. 42028 does not have pneumatics. If it has, that means I was seriously ripped off the other day
  10. Hi, Recently, I bought a 9393 Tractor set from a toy store near me, and I liked both the a-model and b-model very much. They have a lot of playability for a relatively small number of parts, and a nice looking color scheme. Plus, it's my highest part count set below 600, so I decided to build something out of it. At first I researched about vehicles with different sized front and rear tires to see what I can build, but in the end I decided to go with something original. Here is the first draft of what I am building: It's an off-road racer that tilts when cornering in order to change its center of gravity. Currently only the til/steer mechanism is in place, but the playability in this state is promising :) Currently I am thinking of using only 9393, but I may opt to choose one of the following sets and use parts from it for additional features/aesthetics. 42027: For the pullback motor and green parts, but I'm not sure I can use the pullback motor because of my weird rear axle configuration. 42021: For the suspension parts, but we'll see how it turns out. 42001: For the rubber bands and orange parts.
  11. I like it. Overall shape is very good, indeed much better than I was expecting.
  12. Congrats, this looks really good. I would definitely want to build it if you plan on making instructions, or an ldd/ldraw file.
  13. Hmm, I must have missed that post. In that case, it looks good :)
  14. That is scaringly close to what I built the other night. Therefore it is the best thing I've ever seen :D
  15. I think a you can make this into a Lancia Delta with some work. Plus, the wide wheels would be spot on!
  16. I came to this thread with the hope of a technic contraption serving beer... Hmm... Maybe I should start working on that.
  17. I think the outermost liftarm on the crane is this part. Don't think they made it in white before though. So the crane 'elbow' is something like this in my guess:
  18. 42024 Container Truck is finished (no stickers). Download from brickshelf. The rigid hoses used as a-pillars are missing, other than that, everything is awesome! (anyone remember that song? :D) Note: I haven't verified the part list, I hope to do it tomorrow.
  19. I've started working on 42024. It might take a little while since it's not so small as the other ones I built.
  20. 42027 is complete (sort of). Here is the download link. Problems: - Since 12799 Pullback Motor does not yet exist in LDraw, two purple 3X5 L Beams (32526) were used as placeholders for the necessary pin holes. - Since 40001 Steering Yoke does not yet exist in LDraw, Technic Small Steering Wheel (2819) was used in its place. - Rope for the hook is not modeled.
  21. Quick question, I cant find the pull back motor in the parts catalog, anyone know where it is?
  22. Wait, are b-models wanted too? I didnt build the b-model, but I would be happy to...
  23. 42020 's complete! ldr file is on brickshelf but it may not be public yet.
  24. Hi Blakbird, I have been wanting to learn LDraw so maybe this can be a sign that I should. I started working on 42020, mostly because it is simple :) I can take on more if I have time.
