  1. There is always https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3068bpb0923 :) And we got https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=59349pb253 in a previous hospital set.
  2. I want to see more retail shops and businesses in City. How about a doctors surgery? (not the hospital like we got this year but a typical GP office) Or an optometrist? (all those minifigs wearing the neat-looking eye wear need to get it from somewhere) How about a butcher shop? Or a shop selling entertainment stuff (record shop, video game shop, cell-phone shop, computer shop, stuff like that)? Or a hardware store? Or a gym? Or a bowling alley? Or a video arcade? More variety in food would be nice as well (instead of everyone in LEGO City eating pizza, hot dogs and ice-cream all the time...). Those Friends food trucks (on my wish list, just need to wait for the right sale) are a good start but more like that in City please.
  3. Picked up the new police truck yesterday, great set IMO and the egg splat launcher is fun to mess with. Just need the right sale to come around on the new police station and I will have all the 1st half year City sets that are on my list :)
  4. Snagged this one today from the local LEGO store, really fun build and looks cool as well. Well worth picking up for any fans of Looney Tunes or Road Runner IMO.
  5. Considering that at least one of the Megatron toys from the old cartoon turns into a gun that was realistic enough that one collector here in Australia (featured on some TV show many years ago IIRC) had to get a special license from the authorities in order to own it (and follow special rules in storing it and etc) I can't see LEGO doing that particular version of Megatron.
  6. Given that Hasbro seems to have long abandoned Kre-O (since 2017 or so I believe) its not impossible for them to have decided that they will partner with LEGO rather than bring back their own in-house bricks (which I am sure would be expensive to do)
  7. Stupid for LEGO to get rid of such a cool color while (IMO) crappy colors like bright-light-orange, olive green, dark orange and trans-neon-green continue to be used.
  8. LEGO have indicated that the new baseplates are the same as the old ones but with new packaging instead of the plastic wrap. As for police stations, I own all the City police stations except 7237 (and the new one although I will be buying that one as soon as the right sale comes along) and my favorite would have to be 60130 Prison Island (if that counts as a police station) along with 60210 Air Base and 7498 Police Station (last police station with traditional baseplates)
  9. I haven't really seen anything so far that convinces me that the new system is worse. I for one will likely wait until it launches in Australia and then go ahead and place an order :)
  10. In order for an IP to get approved by LEGO Ideas it would have to be very big and popular. It has to be something that is not similar to things LEGO already does. "Aladdin: Friend Like Me (30th Anniversary Special)" wont happen because they already do Aladdin stuff via Disney Princess. "Air Jordan 1" wont happen because of the Adidas shoe and overall Adidas partnership. "Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers!" wont happen because of the Rescue Rangers BrickHeadz (which means its now an "existing license") "BMW Isetta" wont happen because LEGO has a relationship with BMW already. "Lancia Delta Integrale 16v Rally Car(1990)" wont happen because LEGO has a relationship already with the overall group that owns Lancia (via cars in Speed Champions, Technic etc) "DuckTales: The Money Bin" wont happen because of existing Duck Tales products (BrickHeads etc) IPs LEGO have done in the past are also likely not going to be approved for Ideas (Sonic here is an exception since it only appeared in Dimensions and not as a set "Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark - 40th Anniversary" wont happen, there are rumors Indiana Jones is comming back (connected to the new movie) but even if it isn't, LEGO wouldn't do it through Ideas. IPs who's ownership is tied with another toy company are also out of the question. "Thomas the Tank Engine" wont happen since I believe Mattel now owns it. "CATAN - The Game" wont happen since its made by another toy/game company. Also LEGO ideas projects that suggest building models of real-world products are probably not going to happen (like the Walkman idea or the Polaroid camera idea)
  11. Unless there is a set that includes one that I am not aware of, the only colors available for the front windscreen in the space station set are trans-light-blue and dark orange.
  12. I hope the sheep appears in more sets than just that one Disney set.
  13. What I mean is are the actual tyres (the rubber bit) new or is it the same tyre piece as basically every other 8-wide Speed Champions set is using? Looks like the funky fin on the Mercedes is an airplane tail.
  14. The official LEGO description claims its a "1930s Citroën Traction Avant"
  15. The difference is that with Star Wars, Disney owns it and has given Hasbro a specific set of rights in the franchise. But with Power Rangers, Hasbro has complete rights to everything.
  16. I want them in opaque white but trans-clear (and trans-black) also would be nice.
  17. Just finished building the hospital and I love it. Loving the new vibrant yellow color (please LEGO make the 2 x 2 round tile in that color), the great parts selection and the overall design. I too want more of those double doors (and I hope they appear in white) and I will be trying to snag more of those hospital gown torsos if I can. Plenty of parts here that can go into my planned hospital MOC when I eventually build it.
  18. Managed to snag the new hospital (thanks to a local retailer here in Australia that had it for 30% off the local Australian RRP), really happy that I got it :)
