  1. Snagged the Friends food truck set today, as someone who builds mostly City its great. So many pieces in colors I like and almost none in the not-so-useful colors I don't like such as lavender or pink shades. Ignoring the 3 minidolls and the one cat, everything in the set is potentially useful which is great. If I had the money I would snag more sets like the big building with all the shops. Friends has come a long way since it started in 2012 in terms of the range of parts and colors you can find in there. And the variety of neat sets (although there do seem to be quite a lot of sets that are themed to dogs for some reason)
  2. Brickset lists both as "This set was cancelled for unknown reasons." which is unfortunate since I wanted the New York one.
  3. Could well be the case given that the Statue of Liberty comes in an (apparently canceled) New York skyline type thing.
  4. Haven't seen any of the new parts (like the birthday cake costume that I really want) in my local LEGO store here in Queensland yet :(
  5. Never going to happen due to the war and Nazi theming.
  6. The new Pick-A-Brick service (which combines both the old Pick-A-Brick service and the old Bricks & Pieces service into one thing) should be live in all countries now.
  7. A bendy bus would be an instant must buy for me.
  8. One of the guys on the team seems to be active on the "Bricks & Pieces parts availability" discord and is collecting feedback and things there.
  9. Haven't seen it mentioned but one of the new Mario sets includes the little bird in red.
  10. I heard somewhere that the new B&P will land on Wednesday or something.
  11. Other than Kermit (who I know appears) did any of the characters in this series ever make an appearance on Sesame Street? (and if so, was it a one-off or multiple/long running like Kermit?) Trying to figure out which ones might fit in with the Sesame Street Ideas set...
  12. Finally managed to snag the new police station at a decent discount, its a lot better than the 2020 police station for sure.
  13. More houses would definitely be good, we don't get enough in LEGO in general.
  14. Just did an analysis and I can confirm that the only exclusive parts in the Countach are the printed windscreen, the printed wheel covers, the minifig torso and the sticker sheet (which in my copy had a transparent background, not sure if that's true for all copies) I can also confirm that all the white parts exist in black (except the wheel covers and windscreen) as well if you wanted to build one in that color. Red is also possible but you would have to substitute the 1 x 2 double corner panel for 2 1 x 1 corner panels. Yellow (another color closely associated with the Countach) is not possible at this time. The red interior can be changed to black or white. Tan is also possible other than the steering wheel.
  15. Doesn't look like Australia has switched over yet and its the 1st March now. Guessing further roll-out may have been delayed maybe.
  16. If LEGO were already doing their own set at the point the Ideas set came along and hit 10k, they would have rejected it the first time around rather than held it for further review.
  17. It wouldn't surprise me if it was Disney that ultimately said no to the Snow White set (maybe something to do with the new Snow White live-action thing comming out or something)
  18. Cool that the Chimp is making a return in the Jane Goodall set, I need more apes for my collection (I got plenty of monkeys thanks to the Jungle Rescue set but I want more apes :)
  19. Here in Australia the bins (at least the ones I have seen) are fully operational and you can just pick what you want.
  20. The hermit crab and skunk were (IIRC) created for the CMF line and they have different stuff in place about when and how new molds can be made. IIRC the Mohawk cat was also created for a CMF (LEGO Movie 2). And the one they have now in Monkie Kid is a core character in a major theme (and would be popular not because "its a cat with a Mohawk" but because "its a major character in a cartoon series")
  21. Sonic was able to come back because the mold was still sitting in storage somewhere and was still usable. According to what's been said by LEGO people, the goat mold is not usable anymore (unlike Sonic) so a new one would have to be created (which would be expensive and hard to justify given that goats aren't the most popular animals out there)
  22. All 3 shows are rated MA15+ here in Australia which means they are probably not appropriate for a LEGO set.
