I think it should have been light bley (to match the light grey airtanks in the original set) Black was likely chosen since it was already in production for the creator 3-in-1 submarine.

Ideas for new Lego themes! (Non-licensed)
jonwil replied to The lego fan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My dream theme would be "Outback Explorers" set in the Australian bush. Vehicles would include a Ute (which is what us Aussies call a Pickup Truck) and a 4x4 (Land Cruiser type vehicle). Maybe also a helicopter or light plane. Buildings/scenery could include the entrance to an outback mine (maybe an Opal mine or something) and a typical water pump style windmill (as seen on sheep and cattle stations across Australia). Also some brick-built gum trees and other bush plants. Minifigs could be wearing dark tan (i.e. Khaki) polo shirts and pants and fedora hats (to represent the classic Aussie bushman hat). Also lets find a way to put a reddish brown boomerang in there somewhere (after all, the Aborigines did supposedly invent the thing). My top wishes for new animals would be Kangaroos, Koalas, Emus, Platypus and Lizards. Recolored/reused animals could be Crocodiles, Snakes, Spiders and Frogs and maybe some of the bird molds they have could work for things like Cockatoos or Kookaburras. -
My top 3 wishes: Black Lamborghini Countach from Canonball Run with the "2 great looking chicks inside" Bluesmobile from Blues Brothers with Jake and Elwood Blues KITT from Knight Rider with Micheal Night Honorable mention to the Chevrolet NASCAR from Days of Thunder with Cole Trickle even though it will never happen... That would probably be the only thing on the planet that would get me to actually buy anything that said "Ford" on it...

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
jonwil replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
The fact that everyone is clamoring for 2022 parts and that if they appeared everyone would immediately jump on and order up big is exactly the problem, they don't have the warehouse ability to handle the orders. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Better pictures of the Advent Calendar are up on Brickset. Other than the foal, I can't see anything that looks to be new/exclusive although I could be wrong. -

Just be glad we are getting as many sets this year as we did. Look at the poor folks over on the DC side with basically nothing... -

The bellhop looks to me like its the same torso as in set 60200 Capital City. -
Some more potential Space parts I can think of: The 4 x 4 dome piece with the 2 x 2 indent comes in trans-yellow in the Dr Strange set with the giant tentacle thing and also in the Dr Strange lab set (seems like it could find use in Classic Space MOCs somewhere). The 1 x 6 x 5 panel comes in trans-red in the new Star Wars Justifier set. The new Avatar sets are full of parts perfect for creating alien landscapes.

I bought this during the Big W mid year sale here in Australia (along with the other 2 Missions sets) and I love it (and the sale price was cheap enough that I was willing to go for it)

Bought the set today from the LEGO store, really happy with the build so far, its great fun.

Marvel Superheroes 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Finally had an excuse to snag the Iron Man Brick Sketch today (needed something to hit the GWP threshold) and it looks great IMO. Would love some more (a Hulk Brick Sketch would be neat) -
Spotted the torso (and only the torso) from the Series 1 astronaut today in the BaM bin (although I didn't actually buy anything since there wasn't anything in the bins I needed, already got several S1 astronauts back in the day)

I hope LEGO makes more use of that prosthetic leg part from the Supermarket, that's a great part.

I think the best looking rescue helicopter they have done in recent times was the 2018 Ambulance Helicopter, mostly because the color scheme of red and yellow looks good.

A helmet/bust would be cool, would go well with the Iron Man helmet, Thor's Hammer and the gauntlet sets in the "buildable stuff" line. -
I want to see some more medical practitioners in City such as a GP clinic or an optometrist or a dentist.

Snagged the farm and the farm van today (thanks to a decent sale price), they are great sets with lots of neat parts. Loving all the new animals, especially the sheep with the removable fleece. -

Are we sure that the big d2c set really is Marvel and not DC? -
I was responding to "bring back Coast Guard" with a "lets do something that's like Coast Guard but different" (it could have many of the same things Coast Guard had like rescue helicopters, ATVs etc but introduce new things as well)
-
I would prefer something totally new that we haven't seen in City before (or haven't seen in a long time) to themes we get often like Coast Guard. Maybe something like Forrest Rescue (going out and rescuing people lost in the woods, maybe have a plane for the rescuers to find and rescue people from) Or Mountain/Snow Rescue.

My wish for animals in City style would be for a Giraffe, Hippo, Gorilla, Kangaroo and Koala.

Last year's Wildlife sets were great, there is no reason something along those lines but Australian wouldn't sell just as well. -

Australian Outback would be awesome, the only Australian animal we have gotten to date is one Duplo Koala (only in a really big expensive set at that) -
KITT seems like it would be the perfect vehicle to do a Speed Champions sized vehicle of. And if there is enough nostalgia to make a Home Alone set (despite there being no new content in that universe in years) surely there is enough nostalgia for a KITT set to be viable (especially given the much lower price point it would have as a Speed Champions vehicle compared to the Home Alone set)
