Liking the Iron Man Armory, already know for sure I won't like the price. Wish we could get another Tony Stark torso with the arc reactor printed (like the one from that 2013 set with the helicopter)

Looks like Australia gets the shaft again and isn't getting these until June :(

I want these for myself, assuming I can snag them for a good price (not super-difficult to do for City sets here in Australia)

Friends got a set this year with a Japanese Sushi place, a Mexican Taco place and a fruit/juice bar so clearly they are OK with putting such things in Friends. So there should be no reason they can't put the same things in City...

LEGO are clearly still feeling the effects of the biggest global health crisis in recorded history. Its entirely possible that B&P is not back to where it was pre-pandemic in terms of workforce (because of Danish Covid rules, because of Covid rules imposed by the company or just because of staff shortages due to people being off sick with Covid or whatever)

I suspect Disney (who own the rights to these characters now IIRC) is the reason the reveal hasn't happened yet, not LEGO.

Snagged that new City Space lunar rover set today to take to a LEGO club "bring and build" night, quite a fun build and its got more neat parts in it than I thought it did. Very happy with it (especially since I got it at a decent discount :)

Not everywhere by the look of it, my copy of the street food market still had the funky side indents on the boxes.

I am normally a City builder and don't buy Friends sets but surprisingly I actually want that Friends space set more than I want ANY of the City Space sets from this year.

I saw the new Sonic movie today and a tie-in set would have been awesome and probably sold like crazy

Its possible that what McLaren and Pirelli showed to LEGO at the time the stickers were designed and what's out there racing around the tracks now are different and that's why Pirelli doesn't want their logo on it anymore.

Its possible that the various parts used for the wheel (including the 8 x 8 plate) aren't a close enough match to he actual wet weather Pirelli Cinturato tyres and Pirelli told LEGO not to use their name on it. The wheel hub they used on the Mercedes looks fairly close to what's in that Ferrari picture but the way they did the McLaren (with the 8 x 8 round plate/tile thing) looks nothing like it.

Some further googling lead me to a McLaren sponsors page that doesn't list Miory Steel, Bitci or Buzz.

A check of the wayback machine shows that a snapshot of the McLaren F1 product page did have as its main image the image with the original stickers (the same image you get if you look at the set page on Brickset as of right now) so that seems to confirm that the image was changed by LEGO at some point recently.

Looking at the comparison picture (and at the sticker sheet images on Bricklink), the logo missing from the nose of the car appears to be Miory Steel who appear to be based in Belarus. Maybe all that's going on in that part of the world is why that logo has to go. (I don't see that logo on the 2022 design so maybe McLaren themselves dropped the sponsorship) The missing logo on the side of the car seems to be Bitci who were dropped by McLaren sometime in February for reasons that I can't find on Google. The missing logo on the rear wing appears to be Buzz (who I can't find anything much about with a Google search) As for the wheels, I would be surprised that they are changing given that the supposed "new" image still has Pirelli logos on it elsewhere and given that the Speed Champions Mercedes F1 car has the same blue Pirelli detailing on its wheels and I haven't heard of that being discontinued or affected (although I do notice that the Mercedes says "cinturato" and not P Zero like the McLaren, can't find an image of the actual blue-writing wet weather Pirelli tyre for 2022 to confirm what Pirelli actually call it)

Managed to find some new stuff at the Dreamworld LEGO store the other day. Snagged the torso/head/costume for the Cake Suit Guy, the light blue brick costume and matching legs, the nougat lasso, the pink bowler hat, the trans-red balloon dog, a Thor hammer in light bley with printing that I don't recall seeing before, white legs with black feet, light blue legs with black feet, pink Afro, a green torso with brown belts that looks Castle or Ninja and 2 heads I can't really identify. No sign of the latest batch of seasonal parts from what I recall (definitely don't recall seeing the magenta bear or the torso with wings) and I dont think I will ever get parts like the black sausage dog or the lime green printed snowboard (I haven' seen them at any of the 3 LEGO stores I have access to and I doubt I will) although they did have a lot of other neat stuff at the Dreamworld store when I was there. Thankfully our stores here in Oz are (AFAIK) all doing make-your-own for figs and PaB walls.

I heard rumors that the McLaren is being pulled because of licensing issues related to the fact that the livery doesn't actually match what's on the car that Riccardo and Norris are driving. Would explain why the instructions aren't available and why the set seems to be out of stock (or removed completly or in a couple cases "comming soon") from all the major retailers I checked across multiple countries.

Bought the new Friends food trucks set today and other than the 3 minidolls, the cat and maybe a few other parts it wouldn't look too out of place in a City setup given that food trucks/stands of that sort can and do have those kind of brighter colors in real life. At the very least its a GREAT parts pack for the kind of City stuff I build :) I wonder what other awesome-for-City-builders sets from this year (or from previous years that might still be on the shelf) I have missed out on just because they happen to be labeled "friends"?

Snagged the Friends food truck set today, as someone who builds mostly City its great. So many pieces in colors I like and almost none in the not-so-useful colors I don't like such as lavender or pink shades. Ignoring the 3 minidolls and the one cat, everything in the set is potentially useful which is great. If I had the money I would snag more sets like the big building with all the shops. Friends has come a long way since it started in 2012 in terms of the range of parts and colors you can find in there. And the variety of neat sets (although there do seem to be quite a lot of sets that are themed to dogs for some reason)

Brickset lists both as "This set was cancelled for unknown reasons." which is unfortunate since I wanted the New York one.

Could well be the case given that the Statue of Liberty comes in an (apparently canceled) New York skyline type thing.

Haven't seen any of the new parts (like the birthday cake costume that I really want) in my local LEGO store here in Queensland yet :(
