I would have picked a nicer place but most of my data had to be dumped when they took us." "I understand. You captured it well. Where are we really?" "In transit between Donwarr and Jurin II, I believe. Without my data I'm having trouble cross referencing the duration of our jumps with the available maps." "There is something beautiful to the nothingness, John." "Yes, Dora." "Because 'nothingness' doesn't really exist. We just have to turn on the light and look in the right direction, and a whole new world is waiting on us." "I believe you're right, Dora." "I love you, John. You're going to make it through this." "One way or another, sweet girl."
  2. credits to bob, please
  3. Cool. I did something similar. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101096&hl=%2B%5Bmod%5D+%2B75055 Great minds think alike.
  4. Thank you. Scala baby potties Thank you. That's certainly not where I spent my time on this, but glad you like it. If you mean the underwater vegetation, that was definitely stolen from Shmails and others. Not sure what you mean here.
  5. Octan's first perfect 10! Great job Bob. The wings and cockpit on the dragonfly are sick. Great subtle details throughout, as always. The landscaping is also really well done with a cool spill over effect and great rock-work. To me, the cartoonish creatures stand out a bit next to your more realistic vehicles, but the snail has some cool part usage.

"But it's dangerous up there, lets just stay close to the reef." "No John. We have to get up. He's coming." "He can't get us down here, Dora." "Yes, he can John, get up now!" "Ok..." "Dammit... Dora, is the Mercy Brandy overhead?" "No signal, John, they appear to be jamming my comms." "Detach the beacon. Can you talk to the bike?" Weather Station by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr "No, John." Weather Station by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr "How am I looking?" "Not so good, wound is through and through, in between you liver and spine, but I can't stop the bleeding. You're going to black out again." "Yeah... You'd better erase anything you don't need and stay quiet for now." "Yes, John." "See you on the other side sweet girl..." Weather Station by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Aboard the MCF Scythe... "The target is incapacitated but the droid is MIA, sir, do you want me to finish the job?" "No. We'll have to find out what he knows first. Deliver him to Jurin II and await further orders."
  7. I got one of these a few months ago. With a few lamps and GIMP, you're all set. http://amzn.com/B00GKGGICC
  8. Thanks Tyrus. I made some modifications and displayed this at an elementary school family night last week. I used stud shooters for the engines and shortened the guns. Shorter guns. Thicker exhaust. by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr I had to leave the wings closed because my braces on the bottom wings weren't holding. But, everything did stay straight and together through many hours of table shaking. I hope to bring it to BrickFiesta in Houston this summer, so any suggestions for improvements are always appreciated.
  9. Very cool wing design on the PeliCAN, and great joke. Loved resting angry face and Origameister too, and it was nice to see all the older builds. I can't believe they're still together, I assumed you would have had to scrap them for parts long ago. It certainly makes for a pretty serious layout of the Axle. Who's Guy winking at?
  10. Location: Donwarr - E01 Tags: Spaceship, Land Vehicle, Civil Building Their meeting at Freegate concluded, Octan Pilot John Hannibal and Merchant Confederacy Trustee / Admiral of the Merchant Fleet Bridge Callahan depart for Donwarr to investigate the debris fields left by the runaway Zoid slave ship. "Have you been to Donwarr since MANTIS threw out our treaties?" "A few times, John. Since Donwarr was taken by license before the war, the transition has been much smoother there. Our members are still operating their business... or creating new ones to adjust to the market." "That's good to hear. We've seen a lot of needless suffering on Jurin II. It's too bad that exchange couldn't have been more civil." "That's just the difference between a sale and a theft. In the former, both parties leave happy, in the latter, both are worse off. That economy still hasn't recovered since nobody knows if their business is going to be confiscated again. There's really no good way to deal with people that think they can just take whatever they want." "My scan is complete, John. No tracking devices, bombs, or signs of sabotage." "Thank you, Dora. Callahan, Where to first?" "A strip bar in the lower districts where we'll find our driver. We'll get there early enough to miss the patrons, but you should ditch the Octan colors, regardless. No need to stir up any hotheads." "Fair enough. This driver, proprietor, stripper, or patron?" AG Merchant Confederacy febRoverary by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr "Patron, a bit of a drunk, but he sobers quickly. Besides, he's the only one with the equipment we need... a H-Class beach rover with the towing capability to move heavy scrap. Anything nautical will be risky considering the lack of cover and jumpiness we've seen from MANTIS lately." "Time to move, our satellites got a hit on a heavier section of the ship and signs of life nearby." "Looks liak a bust to me C'mander, whate'er signs of life y'all pic'tup wit dem sateelites curnt've com from dis 'er rekage, dam t'ing a'redy burnt'up on reentry." "There must be something down here. Keep her running while I get a closer look." "Huh, must be one of Pombe's crew. Hey pal, you out here investigating the wreckage? Looks like you beat us to it." "Not exactly. You got an extra pair of pants? Mine didn't survive the fire." To be continued...
  11. Please purchase metallurgy for Octan. @Lucas - we've got the scratch, post whenever you're ready, thanks
  12. 53 to Bob, please. It looks like we didn't get our civil building bonuses this week. Please double check Pombe's hard wares store, Brickwolf's warehouse, Kodan's lab, Medium's lab, my office, Danny's alien structures, and Zaael's beacon. Thanks.
  13. Why is Pombe wearing pants? Nice lbg artwork, table, and dark tan grills
  14. Here's a better shot of the micro mountain and landing pad Micro g02 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Thanks, I was hoping it would come off as a less micro version of the very micro ship, that's at least partly why it is so awkward and ugly looking LUGBULK, God bless it. If you're not a member of a LUG you should sign up immediately! DFWLUG is an especially good one if anybody is in the area
  15. Thanks guys. @Lucas - thanks for noticing the difference in the water, I liked how that turned out No, but it is in the background on a landing pad in the side of an icy mountain (G02) out the door. I forgot to take a shot of just the micro platform. I'll add one below when I get home.
  16. I can't believe you have time for all the great details within these builds. Great road, great speeders, great micro city, awesome hare wares store interior. I think we need to hire Chastity on as the Axle's Quartermaster and make Dr. Long go through him for any equipment needs.
  17. NPU on the equipment in the corner and nice coffee bar on the side
  18. nice lab and very cool speeder design. I think with a few color changes the deals of the speeder would pop a lot more, but it's really nice how light you kept it
  19. nice shaping on the ship and cool engines. I'm not sure I follow the alien logic in the story but they've got a cool body design and it's good to see new characters emerge
  20. We've got the most dedicated spec ops in the galaxy. nice proportions on the ship and good looking intakes. You've also got some nice details in the shop tag should be civil and building, correct?
  21. All of these underwater landscapes have been really unique and colorful. Great use of parts throughout and great job conveying the overgrown vegetation.
  22. Did you already post those alien ships? It'd be nice to see more shots of them, they look pretty cool. I think lower angles and a tripod would really help your interior shots.
  23. Is that just a net over a lamp? really cool photography effects. I like those boxes too, are they just not pushed down all the way? if so that looks painstaking to get so many on there so uniformly without pushing them in all the way. the gun mounts on the speeder are cool, too
  24. great space photography
