  1. It's such a pleasure to collaborate with you on Kirana and Goatm's story arcs, you obviously get Goatm so well and it's great to know the character is in such good hands. Great use of the specter(?) "legs" for the melted console. The tall dbg slopes make a really cool wall, too. The reveal of the bunker was also very imaginative
  2. These pictures look amazing, I wouldn't change a thing. It definitely has a great agoraphobic feel too it, like it's just floating out there
  3. Excellent build Danny. Nice greebling on those controls and in the walls (which is hard to do smoothly in these Rebel ships, but you got it). The droid has some great poses as well, I'm not sure how the heck you got it to run like that, but it totally works. Nice 5th Element callback too. Can't wait to collaborate again
  4. Beautiful work Pombe, and so interesting to see your dark side. You did a great job capturing the Imperial style and certainly made a quick study of it. NPU throughout with the floor, transition in the walls, and the curved slopes connecting the ladders is a nice touch. Really glad to be building with you again.
  5. Intelligence gathering... it's what Goatm An has always excelled at and now the relentless compulsion that drives his every thought. His cover on Naboo had put him right next to one of the main hubs of Imperial intelligence traffic, but he was spotted by an enterprising bounty hunter while working his day-job. Kirana was back on his tail now and it would only be a matter of time before he was tracked down again. Avoiding the Empire, Goatm chose to stake out the Rebellion's intelligence efforts aboard the Providence, an old Consular-class retrofitted to coordinate Rebel espionage throughout the Mid-Rim. But Goatm's efforts seemed to have backfired. The sudden, distant thud is a familiar sound. A boarding party has breached the hull. Could it be Kirana already? An operation like this would have to be rushed if Goatm hadn't heard about it yet. Luckily Goatm's escape options have been thoroughly planned. This droid is desperate to find its master and it doesn't take much convincing to catch a ride. He won't make it far into the Imperial prison, but Goatm will plan to be long gone before then. 6. Original post updated with the Season 2 Phantom. More pics soon. Star Wars REBELS - The Phantom by Goatman461 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr
  7. great work on the build and story. I think an establishing shot showing the transition from outside to interior hallway might have helped the flow. The transitions between Naboo and Aquilae are great, I especially like that last shot with the gun drawn
  8. Great post Danny. Love the ship (especially the perfect splashes of color) and story. Probably your best, a high bar
  9. If we don't get to 10 builders, will we be allowed to double up on secret parts, or is it one official build per part?
  10. Dead people make the best voyeurs. And I've got to check in every week to see what Pombe is up to
  11. balancing wasn't too big of an issue. it does teeter quite a bit when being moved just because it's so top heavy, so I pretty much just keep it disassembled until the base is ready. Come see it at BrickUniverse Tulsa on Sept 10-11 as part of DFWLUG's large space cowboy collab!
  12. paste the code in a reply to this post so we can see what you're talking about
  13. Are you talking about the signature tag? You have to create those here... http://www.bakahomepage.com/SONE/ and you should ideally use a picture that's already cropped and centered, otherwise it'll look like this... ...which has it's own charm, but probably not what you're going for.
  14. Thank you! It's awesome that y'all are able to get such great prizes. I appreciate all the hard work y'all put into this!
  15. Thanks. Thanks. Yes. I eventually want to do a large scale (maybe minifig scale) version of the Twilight and I needed a cargo ship for a collab build, so I thought I'd play with the shape and try to work out some of the difficult parts. Thanks. Thanks. Old Octan habits die hard.
  16. The Imperial courier on Naboo was in a particularly dangerous situation. He must have picked up a few stowaways on the forest moon of Endor, because upon arriving on Naboo, countless furry space bears came pouring out of the cargo hold and into the eastern swamps. Once they took to the trees, the stormtroopers couldn't keep track of them and the best shots of their ranks couldn't find their targets. Normally, the Empire can overlook an illegal introduction of non-indigenous species, especially when they are at fault, but these creatures came from a planet the Empire wanted kept secret. The nosey bureaucrats of Naboo would certainly ask too many questions if this incursion was discovered. Ewoks on Naboo by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Despite their distrust and hatred of the Clawdite race, the Empire does recognize the exceptional marksmanship prevalent in their culture, and the ISB keeps a few contacts for situations like this. The bounty hunter marches the seven remaining creatures out of the swamps and into an awaiting cage. His payment will be in the form of slug-beetle larva, a "currency" the Empire can payout under the table because of their control over vast "preservation easements" throughout Naboo, and the bounty hunter can readily exchange these with the elite Gungans coopted by the Empire to keep the bottom dwellers in line. But there was something about the merchant crew that delivered the larva. The captain... the bounty hunter knew this face, but the local Imperial contingent obviously did not, or else there'd be only one man leaving this clearing alive...
  17. Woohooo! Thanks for the votes everybody! Congrats to all the winners and organizers. There were a lot of cool entries.
  18. One of the best ways to navigate the core worlds of the Galactic Empire is as an Imperial officer. Even when his quarry is detained, government credentials provide great cover for moving prisoners through a crowd, and these subjects know the price of questioning the Empire. Monument to Major Tom by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr This Twi'lek took the Clawdite bounty hunter for a run through one of Corellia's famed urban parks, but was caught just behind the statue to Corellian hero Maj Ortom, the renowned spaceman and intergalactic explorer. 19. amazing color combos - I think that might be your specialty, very nice and clean looking moc, I think it also really helped that you captured a lot of blackness in the shadows/crevasses, it makes those colors pop even more
  20. Not specifically a SW piece, but the Batman legs from 76046/76035/76045 (http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=970c00pb411&idColor=0#T=S&C=0&O={"color":0}) is available on B&P for $2.22. They're pretty perfect for Imperial officers boots, but I'm torn at that price. Maybe y'all can buy some and flood the market for them ;)
  21. Small update, not that it matters for the contest, just wanted to share... Untitled by michaelbradford1, on Flickr
