    So no one is worried about the oils from your fingers? Or any residue from the factory on the part before you put the sticker on? These are a couple of reasons I don't apply stickers. If the surface isn't prepped then the sticker won't adhere as well as it could, which I worry about on the more expensive sets or where you can't get a replacement sticker sheet...

    I would get the Imperial flagship. The price of it is still going up and the price of the other two have leveled off, for now. Also, a side note to keep in mind, with the new movie coming out next year there "might" be a chance of a remake of either of the 2 ships or a new one completely. Sometimes MSRP when new is the cheapest price...

    I always thought it was for the younger builders, but I remember reading somewhere that its done because they are super common colours/parts that they have a surplus of.

    Funny you should mention this. I'm finishing up my COMPLETELY reworked Black Pearl, hopefully in the next week! I'll post a thread with I'm finished. But, back on topic.. As stated I have the Black Pearl, but I do not own the QAR. From what I can tell, the QAR is a much more beautiful ship. I got a deal on my mostly complete, but missing the minifigs, Black Pearl and I'm waiting for a similar deal for the QAR.

    Scorn, I haven't messed with it to figure out how to make it thinner yet, but I did something! It's not movie correct, but I do believe it looks MUCH better!

    That Flickr page has some REALLY nice builds! Thanks for the link! I do agree that TLG has done very well with these sets from the start, but I'm going to add the elves into my castle layout, so I think some customizing will be in order.

    I'm just getting into Elves and I'm pretty excited for the new sets. That is, as soon as I get caught up with the current sets! I was looking around the usual places and couldn't find a single Elves MOC! Are Elves MOCs not a thing?

    It's been on sale for quite a while now and the rest of pirates line is done so my guess would be it's going to be on sale until it's gone. No retirement, just on sale until sold out.

    Nope. I have a couple of those too. It most definitely is reddish brown on reddish brown. Now that I've looked at it again and compaired it with known "only comes in reddish brown" parts, I think that its just in REALLY good shape and colour!!

    It doesn't look too bad from the side but from straight on its a little chubby. im sure there is a way to make it less wide, but the way I first tried didn't work, so I kinda gave up and this is it, for now.

    I have a few of these : http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=8&itemID=52723 They are brown in colour. But I have one that is redish-brown. I can't seem to find out where it came from. You guys have any ideas?
