    I move my modulars to the edge of their baseplate. Then I tile over all of the studs on the road plate. I think that is the best "scale" for an accurate looking sidewalk.

    Stand by to receive crappy iphone photos in... 3... 2... 1... Go! It's 4 Palace Cinema's plus extra parts, which roughly translates to a Palace Cinema that is 5 by 4. It's no longer a Movie House. It's now an Opera/Play/Musical Performance House. When finished, it will seat around 275 (+/-) Minifigs. Bonus Link to song on my computer screen:

    I've gotten a lot of really good deals at TRU on Sundays. It seems, at least at my local TRU, that they slash the price on a set or two, some times more than 50%. I've gotten Benny's spaceship and a battle for ninjago for around 50$ each, on different Sundays. The little sign by them always says Sunday only.

    That might work. I think a white cheese wedge would work too, but neither are perfect.

    Over 50 you say? Then I have a problem with the the Indiana Jones German minifigs... 60 and still growing!

    Earlier today, in less than ideal lighting conditions, I kept grabbing the dark green and dark blue 1x1 bricks instead of the ones I wanted, black. So that got me wondering if there was any colour blind LEGO builders on here. I know at the ripe age of 40, I'm starting to have a hard time figuring out which colour is which...

    I haven't done it yet, but my plan for LEGO ocean is glass. I've seen a few different types (frosted, frosted/wavy, clear/wavy) I think it will look pretty good (better than the no longer made blue baseplates) and sorta cost effective.

    I think the GE would look pretty good with black windows to keep it on the cheap(ish).

    The way you break it down makes perfect sense. The cheapskate in me doesn't want it to be that much and to me, overall, it doesn't look like a hundred dollar set.
