    The grand emporium will be next to impossible to bricklink. All of those dark green windows will be a problem. I'm pretty sure buying a compete one, even at double MSRP will be cheaper...

    Sven F has it right. I started bricklinking most of the old pirates sets but gave up (for now) sails are drying up, as are the minifigs and getting really expensive if you can find them. Between BL and eBay you can find some deals on the sail and figs if you get lucky. It really comes down to time and money. You'll have to cruise BL and eBay to see if the rare parts are even available and then do some math to see if buying the whole set makes more sence.

    I would get the grand emporium first. It just retired a little bit ago and it's double MSRP. Get it before it gets to that really crazy price, the when your LEGO budget allows, get the pet shop. Town Hall and Fire brigade are pretty spendy now :(

    It's not a " found old stock" thing. Durring the Holidays LEGO refocused manufacturing for other sets. That's why they are reappearing on S@H and all of the targets near me...

    I do hundreds of parts at a time. You REALLY need to check prices before ordering from B&P/PAB/BL! Some parts are WAY cheaper from B&P...

    I was wondering that too! I know that when I make a modular bigger the inside gets done absolutely last. I have an XL GE that thought the outside is done, I've barely started the inside :(

    I might bricklink different colours of CC and GG, but MS has never been a thought. It is wicked ugly and and I'd rather used that money to MOC something useful in my "town".

    When I get around to building mine I'm doing to build it "stock" first, then buy a second set to make it bigger. A 16 wide laundry is also going to happen. As far as a corner entrance, I'd love to see what you come up with!

    They could make a Vigo "painting" that's brick built and has a spot for Vigo the minifig! And an amber or red light brick to make it glow. But I also think that we'll see more sets from the orginal 2 movies :)

    I love building this set. It makes me smile every time I look at it! It was worth driving 2 hours, standing in line, an spending the $350. It's the most I've ever spent on a single set, and I have NO buyers remorse :)

    I love both the artic and deep sea themes. I have all the sets, plus a few doubles! I'm just REALLY hoping that the volcano theme is just as good!
