  1. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! Ten years later, it's still a good link!! MANY THANKS DLuders!!!!
  2. I don't know what you are trying to do. I'm wondering why you are not using the free building instructions from rebrickable?
  3. Oveall it is 14 x 14. The 1x2 attatchment points are 13 x 13.
  4. These are the settings I use for images for building instructions: PhotoReal Render quality: medium, more is not nessessary Background and light: Default and transparent (transparent background lets you put the image on any background you choose) Light: Mechanic and right front, I would try several to see what looks best for your subject. Change only one thing per try. Device: GPU if you have good hardware! Camera: default and perspective Image size 1920 x 1080 Format: png 16 bit Most of the time I'm doing Technic stuff so "mechanic" lighting may not be best for your application.
  5. WOW!! Huge exibit of Technic Lego. That is awesome!!! There are several Archimedes screws. What part is used to make the screw?
  6. Well done!! You are funny, chuckle, chuckle.
  7. What is "Night Mode"?
  8. Go to ldraw.org -Official Model Repository - or http://omr.ldraw.org/files/602
  9. It's a good investment. Generally. better than you can do on the stock market. You know one thing I don't understand is people throwing away the boxes? I mean a set is bought for kids or whatever, and the box is thrown away. Those long lost boxes are what makes the set worth more as time passes. And, what about those building instructions too?
  10. These extra charges are only on your international orders. Check each one individually. Could be money exchange rates. I know it costs me more money to pay for Lego using Paypal here in the states. I stopped using Paypal. Sometimes the money itself has added fees. If there is a third party handling the money, they will get their cut.
  11. Your pictures aren't working. They need to be posted elsewhere and linked here. That's how EB does pics.
  12. I'm wondering if this GBC could do a complete circle or even a one and a half circle?
  13. Click on "my github repo" = link; click on the stl file. Have fun!
  14. Toastie. You do have a way of saying it (funny). I know the feeling "Lego grows" like children, it begets itself. hikouki give yourself room to grow. Your Lego collection will grow "steeply exponentially" like Toastie says! Toasties' advice is good on all points. Post your picture elsewhere, and then put a link to it here, and then it will appear here.
  15. AKA part #71128, available in white too, 10/ $2. Thanks 9v system!!
  16. Has anyone tried these alternatives? I also thought of using 55982 wheel Rim 14 X 18 with axlehole. I would sure like to know about an alternative to X85 that works well.
  17. This may help a little bit: https://www.ldraw.org/parts/official-part-lookup.html?folder=parts&partid=31625 Enter the part number if necessary. That is the official details of the part file. I do not know what measurement system is used here. I assume it is metric.
  18. Love it!! Thanks for the chuckle!!!
  19. Sorry, but in my opinion that car iis not as good looking as the Lego 42125 one. It does not have the right fenders (straight tops). That yellow technic beam across the top of the windshield looks ugly. The beam under the door is bad looking too! The whole side of the car looks blocky, not streamlined at all. The roof is flat, Yuck.
  20. Your second connection is only half illegal according to page 17. Only one of the two elements is transparent and made of PC. I did not think the "clutch" on those two elements was that strong. Besides, another bar could be used to get them apart if they were too tight. Lets face it, Lego makes a lot of parts that were not necessarily intended to be put together, but they have the right dimensions to fit together.
  21. I believe the first is probably illegal, because that little split pin would not be able to open back up aftrer it is inserted. I do not believe the second example is illegal at all. I don't believe anything is being stressed. Do you have a link to the Lego pdf?
  22. I watched your videos ... Now, That truely is a LEGO ROOM!!!!!!!! I love your "wallpaper?", too. That desk is awesome!! I thought it qas really cool at first. But WOW!, it works too! TOTALLY AWESOME!!! I'm gonna get me one of those stands (great idea).
