  1. I have never seen water done this way. That is MASTERFUL!!!
  2. Sorry, I can't help with the PC issues. Check the file for viruses. What is the total part count? With all these problems, it might be less work to create a new file in Stud.io or some other software of your choice. Many times when I have used a file from the internet, and had crazy issues. But, this one is excessive.
  3. A MOD is a "modification" of a Lego set usually using only the parts from that set. MOC is an acronym for My Own Creation.
  4. Yup, you can use your points for that (at least in the USA). Log in to Lego VIP rewards. (I'm assuming you have an online order started.) Redeem points/pounds under "Get A Discount At LEGO.com". You will get emails containing codes for each amount you redeemed which will be used at check out when you complete your order. I would suggest that you only redeem 140 pounds worth or less, and pay the difference including tax and shipping. (Sorry, being an American I may not have used the correct words.) Hopefully the UK Lego website is enough like the USA counterpart to understand what I'm telling you. I hope this helps.
  5. Rebrickable.com has many MOCs and MODs for free and for sale. If you want to upload your personal inventory, it will even tell you what percent of the of the required parts you already own and which required parts you don't own.
  6. This is great! Do you have any photos of the underside to share? I have never seen a design with park which controls whether it moves or not.
  7. How do you get these?
  8. Yea, you had a Lego dream. It's cool how creative our brains can be while we are sleeping.
  9. I'm now trying to also convert stl files to dat. I'm trying to understand what you did that was successful. I made a custom Lego compatible gear with with gear-v3.scad from thingyverse which is an .stl file. Now I want it to become a .dat file. What did you use to covert to .dat? and then you used converted to ASCII ? Sorry, I'm a novice at this.
  10. Did you read any of the links? This aircraft is no joke. TLG cancelled this set because some European anti-military group opposed it. The aircraft is unique, is being produced for commercial use, and should be considered for a Lego set.
  11. Are you still waiting for TLG to do something with Lego Technic Bell Boing V-22 Osprey? There is a commercial version of that aircraft, the "Leonardo AW609"! So how about it Lego? Do a Technic set of this aircraft, just lengthen the nose, change the tail, and lose the wide belly of the 42113!! Come on Lego, don't shut the door yet!! Here are some links about it: https://verticalmag.com/news/leonardo-prepares-for-production-training-and-support-of-the-aw609/ https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/business-aviation/2021-06-14/production-conforming-aw609-expected-fly-soon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW609 https://www.businessinsider.com/leonardo-aw609-civilian-v-22-osprey-details-photos-2020-3 https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeremybogaisky/2020/03/08/aw609-leonardo-marines-v-22-osprey-tiltrotor/?sh=24a698305354
  12. In the video, he talks about making .stl files in LDRAW and converting .stl back to .dat, which I believe is what you want to do.
  13. Have you used "BlueBrick"? With it you can input your "table size" and make available only your track parts.
  14. Yea, I have some of those. Recently, I realized mine are the same. But, I do think the wheels will slide off the hubs without that material there. I would recommend leaving it alone. I have two sets of that kind of tire and wheel and they are all like that from TLG. You may regret removing it, if you succeed.
  15. Looking forward to the pictures... Wish I could attend.
  16. TLG has a whole department that refurbishes molds so they can continue to use them. Does TLG really trash all their unused molds. I find that hard to believe unless the machines that injected those molds are no longer used. As for rerunning retired sets, TLG probably has a good idea how much $$ can be expected and whether it's a good investment.
  17. 992bricks, Some life events have stopped my Lego hobby lately. The building instructions (BI) are here: https://bricksafe.com/files/1963maniac/Roller Coaster 10261 Modifications_150_DPI.pdf EDITED 9/16/2021 This BI is only for making special elements. More to follow Satan's Spiral is the last item in there. The drawings cannot flex like ABS plastic, so they cannot be drawn correctly. These instructions are intended for expert builders or better they are not easy at all! Any questions, just ask. If the BI has problems, please let me know so they can be fixed. I hope you enjoy these!
  18. Rebrickable has an online way to store your inventory of sets and parts.
  19. https://www.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/9467 OMR at LDRAW.org does not have an offering. Here is one motorized version.
  20. This looks really awesome! It works well! But, what is a PF BB?
  21. That is a beautiful example of Lego Mastery. I'm just wondering why it was only today that I got an email about it, thirteen days late!!!
  22. In USA I've seen some stores stock amounts not making sense. Two Lego "reseller" stores ( Bricks & Minifigs) at opposite ends of the country are very different from each other. One is well stocked and the other is very poorly stocked. As for chain stores like Target and Walmart their shelves are a little empty, I think because Lego is selling better since people are staying home with their kids. The toy departments in general (in stores) are a little more sparse.
