I have built a Roller Coaster from two 10261 sets plus additional parts. The chain drive has five more incline tracks (26561) than the original 10261 otherwise it is built exactly the same. It was running great, but now it wants to pull the tower end toward the chain drive at the bottom. It does not seem to be stuck and the motor is running. Seems to be an awful lot of torque. It has a PF L motor driving the chain. Has anyone else built such a beast and had this kind of problem? I'm wondering if I'm expecting too much from this system. I figured out a solution. More bracing was needed.

It sounds like you are talking about Rebrickable.com. That is one of the purposes of Rebrickable. They have a program for exactly that.

Thanks Thorsten. Yes, submodeling is the answer. I've thought about dividing it into about six sections. But, figuring out how to put them altogether is the problem. It's a continuous build but showing it as such is where the problem lies. Everything needs to be visually understandable. LPUB3D still cuts things off at the edge of the page and will not redraw (the cut off image) after moving the main assembly image. It remains incomplete. I think I might start each new section with a picture to show the next section added to the previous section but then only show that one new section being built. But, I do not know if it will work. I can't think of another way to do it.

I have just finished a roller coaster MOC from two 10261 sets plus additional parts. Needless to say it is a huge project for part quantity and sheer volume. I believe the building instruction can be done in sections. I need help in how that is done. This MOC is over 76 bricks high and 64 x 140 studs. Obviously, this is too big to put everything on one page and still be visually useable on most peoples PCs. I use MLCAD for the digital file and LPUB3D to layout the pages.

Yup, My suggestion would be to buy more of the boxes that have adjustable dividers. Get more! they will give you growing room. I did the same thing, waiting for kids of my own to get back into Lego. I now have over 40 of that kind of container. they have grown and adjusted to my Lego habit quite well over the years. I have one type of part in a given compartment, color is selected at the time I use it. Then I have a box for just axles, just gears, and it goes like that. The fact that the boxes are " see thru" is also a great thing. Also there are wire racks that you can stack those in. they kind of work like drawers then. they are great. https://bricksafe.com/pages/1963maniac Well, I guess, It looks like I use other things too (for my kids). But, Mine are the technic ones in the "Plano" boxes stacked on the tabletop in wire racks. Take the time to organize it, you will be glad you did when it comes time to build something.

That is a good sized yacht, maybe 60-70 feet in real life. But, I wouldn't classify it as a "super" yacht, no.

I'd use a white translucent acrylic sheet you can get from most "big box" lumber stores. It won't take much light to make the whole thing glow. Then, whatever you put in front of it will light up.

The Pere Marquette 1225 (Berkshire) is our favorite. My son when a little boy got to get up into the cab of that HUGE locomotive. We have ridden it too. It comes to our town every year. Now it's known as the "Polar Express", cause it was used for the movie.

Is it possible in MLCAD or any other LDRAW software to get a separate file of a submodel? I have a model that is an MPD. Can I pull out a submodel and make it into it's own file by itself?

Make sure your motors are not spinning against each other? This also sounds like too much backlash.

Check bricklink.com under parts: panels or windows. Sometimes the glass for windows is available in solid colors.

I wanted to make a Bethlehem style nativity for Christmas. But when I found out what a camel cost, Whew! There are Duplo lambs but no Lego sheep. Is there a donkey? How about a baby in a blanket? Middle Eastern style minifigures are also needed.

BIG THANKS GUYS!!! The main thing is that the project is done unless the designer finds something I missed. Changing the scale was not acceptable to the designer. And he is right about that. Yea, Bricklink used to have a listing for each variation. Now they just put it all together without information on the differences. And, you can't find sellers for them either because they only have one listing for all variations.
