  1. I'm really liking the new station for some reason. It's nice how Lego went with the walkover type last time, and now return to a regular single platform similar to 7822 and 7824. This has a small and comfortable vibe to it. And while the grey roof may not be that useful for stopping rain, it does bulk out the look a bit, and I think it will look good in a train city.
  2. All these impressions are just making me more excited to see the real sets! I enjoyed the 2010 sets, but it sounds like the new passenger train may be a winner. I may also have to finally hop on the freight bandwagon, as the small picture I've seen of the blue engine really looks simple yet satisfying. Should be a good year for train builders!
  3. This is really outstanding! The brickwork and the columns really make the front come alive. And the little details like the embedded flowers make it even more fun. Very well done. Thanks for sharing!
  4. Wow, this set is absolutely jaw-dropping! Seeing so many details packed in, and the smooth lines around the hull is really incredible. I don't usually follow the pirate forum, so this is also the first time I've seen brick built sails. They're very well done, and really add to the bulk and majesty of the ship. It's inspiring!
  5. Very nicely done! It beats having to overpay for old 9v crossings. I look forward to hearing about its long term stability!
  6. As always, Tachikomas use their cuteness to win! This is really well designed, and a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!
  7. Wow, that's really clever. And there are some great pictures over in your flickr. I hope we get to see more!
  8. Thanks for all the advice on cleaning switches everyone. I've got a gummed up one that is still operational, but I don't know how long it will last.
  9. That's a nice approach for this set! I like your Coulson, but have you thought of making any other Agents of Shield characters to ride shotgun?
  10. I agree. I think this police station will continue to stand out for years to come. It just comes across as really solid thanks to the width and three floors. Of course, it would be even better if you have two, and actually filled in the back as well.
  11. There are some great ideas in this thread, but this one just jumped off the screen for me! Great job.
  12. I'd go for a Lola car! If there's a Hot Toys Agent Coulson, maybe he'll sneak into a Marvel set, maybe for Avengers 2?
  13. I want to buy more IR receivers soon, so I'm glad I found this thread! I hope they start shipping the new v2s soon.
  14. Nice job on the columns, corners, and flag. I really like the reduced size, and less floors. Makes modulars a lot easier to design and actually build. Of course, I wonder if this may just serve as a gateway for you into the real ones!
  15. Ha, that's great! At first the interiors and all white walls looked a tiny bit dull, but the characters you added really bring the whole thing to life. Nice job incorporating so many Big Bang Theory approved elements into the store.
  16. Wow, this is a great combination of quality storytelling, and some great scenes. As others have said, the effort put into the interiors really shows. Great work!
  17. Love seeing some of these old Lego offerings. The pictures and scans posted are all top quality! Thanks for sharing.
  18. Those decals looks quite good! Thanks for the clear instructions on how to do it yourself.
  19. That sounds like a lot of fun! Darth continuously chasing Luke's X-Wing but never catching up to him!
  20. Wow, this is a great thread, both for the tips on older parts restoration, and of course all the classic space goodness! Hope we get to see more classic sets and boxes in the future.
  21. I really like this take on modulars. Personally, a toy (Lego) shop, a bank or post office as others have said would work great in the modular pantheon. In terms of countries, it might be nice to have a touch of Spanish or Dutch architecture. Imagine nicely Lego colored Dutch houses or apartments!
  22. Wow, this picture just blew my mind! So much love for old school 4 wide. And the old fire logo on the doors are a great touch. Great job everyone who's keeping the old style town vehicles alive!
  23. I really love modulars, but this seems like the right size and price that it could be a perfect gateway into the top of the line stuff. Imagine, small modular styles buildings, only one or two storeys, or sometimes just 16 wide. It just seems like it would be a lot easier to expand your town, and imagine the possibilities in terms of what kind of shops etc you could have. Here's hoping this Creator set is just the beginning!
  24. I really like this idea. Taking any existing (and preferably on sale) official set, and working with that really allows you to get the hands on feel of building for real. Then again, the things you can enjoy dreaming up in LDD is pretty awesome too!
  25. Wow, that is an absolute monster. The striping on the front, the colors, and the decals are all great, but it's the insides that are the real star of this show.
