  1. What an incredible train. The yellow stripes in the tender look great, as does the nose. If Lego ever put out a set like this from the eXpert line I'd be all over it! Great job on doing it yourself, and doing it so well.
  2. No I didn't! Another reason to get the Sea Cow, as if a 2500 3 storey pirate ship wasn't enough. I guess they'll want to use the mold for his helmet in more than one set. But to be honest, I would prefer more classic spacemen in white, red, yellow or black instead. People who buy sets for Benny will almost certainly have their money already set aside for his cnew lassic spaceship.
  3. I wonder if the price of blue classic space figures has shot up on Bricklink since Benny was revealed? Can't wait to get him in his spaceship, and may wear this shirt while I build it!
  4. Blue is definitely more SHIELD friendly! Nice job.
  5. Great! I also really like that you've got yellow 1x2 tiles under your banked curve. A part of me is really regretting skipping out on this set all those years ago!
  6. Hello everyone. I've been enjoying lots of great posts, MOCs, tips and advice reading here, and thought I'd finally join up. You can see maybe from my signatures that I get into trains every 10 years or so. Compared to the <insert that tiresome argument> sets around 1999, it seems like it's a great time to be back into Lego! And in case they're around, I just want to say a big thank you to the folks at http://www.fa-meier.de/lego/traindepot/depot.html for their great Lego trains images.
  7. Between Spider-Man, Venom, Batman, Robin, the Joker, and now Turtles, I don't mind the label of Juniors at all, as long as we keep getting good minifigures! Also, I'm liking the simplicity of the stable set. Fun colors, but classic minifigures. Should suit the target audience well.
  8. You've both got good points on why this would be good to pick up! I think one thing that holds people back from this set is just how awesome the Emerald Night is in comparison. If this had come out in 2008, people would have been very impressed I think. But using it to make another EN? That's a great idea!
  9. Sorry to just jump in like this, but I never got into modulars, and was wondering where to start? It sounds like the first 3 are discontinued, and the fire station also just went off the market?
  10. I'm going to go check them out, and I'm really glad to hear you're happy with almost every aspect of BBB. Thanks a lot!
  11. This is great all around! The base descending into the water is great, but it's your choice of minifigures and action poses that really help bring this to life! Thanks for sharing!
  12. Great work on the building. I especially like the cupcake store downstairs. Maybe you could throw in the 2 Broke Girls?
  13. That is a great technique, and would look really natural as siding on a house. If those are hinges on each row, that's pretty intense. I hope we learn more!
  14. Yes it is! Finding pictures in a thread about Seatron here on Eurobricks is one of the reasons I signed up for the forum!
  15. This just blew my mind! Thanks for the pictures, and now the video of this outstanding layout. There are a lot of great ideas on how to build setups using all 3 dimensions, instead of just focusing on a flat surface. Thanks again!
  16. Wow, both the red and black version look great, and thanks for showing off their real world inspiration. Just a question about the wheels, someone said they're BBB? Are those from Lego, or does BBB mean Big Ben's? Have people had good experiences using custom wheels like those?
  17. So tape is enough to make the double crossover allow both trains to run straight through? If so, that's good to know! Yes please, more pics would be great.
  18. Leonard Nimoy from the Monorail episode! And Homer in his driver uniform.
  19. That Storm looks great! I hope the real Lego one looks as good when we get better scans.
  20. So glad we're getting Wolverine's mask and classic costume. Magneto's purple is a nice change of pace, but at the same time his classic look can't really be beat, so this seems like a bit of a step back. Storm on the other hand looks pretty good, but I hope the costume design is Jim Lee inspired. The Sentinel really could have been something special though, and this one really isn't.
  21. Glad to hear there's no weight problems! Can't wait to see your VT11.5 Trans Europ Express Monorail!
  22. I really like your 'dangerous' layout! Lots of fun just letting a single train drive around there, I don't think it would ever look dull.
  23. Wow, these are some great ideas! That's going to save me a lot of money in the long run. Double the length, but as mentioned, if the trains can run parallel straight through, it's well worth it! Thanks everyone for such the great pictoral guides.
  24. Great that we've got an idea on what the new trains look like! The nose on the passenger train is a big step up on 7897, though the coloring does look a little bit plain. The blue freight train on the other hand really nails it I think in terms of looks and colors. Looking forward to seeing more of the station, as simple details like the passenger crossing are always welcome, and I hope we get to see more!
  25. Lego's made some big strides with sets like MMV and the Blacksmith shop, but going modular would be incredible! I've always wondered if they couldn't do some small village like modulars, on smaller baseplates. Small shops, stalls, and armories like 6041. If Lego unleashed their imagination on small baseplates, I think the results would be incredible.
