  1. You probably won't believe it, but today I got some real, physical LEGO. My order from 'Bricks and Pieces' arrived. Means, 40 new Bluecoats plus equipment and some other stuff... the only question now is... how do I 'import' all this into LDD?!? New Bluecoats after 26 years, I'm feeling like a child again Thanks again big time for posting the info about 'B&P', guys!
  2. Glory to Phred! May his reign be long and prosperous! Best of success in your new position
  3. The title sure is a fly trap... Could have also called it 'Newton - the early days' or 'Life before the invention of gravity'... This 'product' is much more stylish than the coincidentally referenced lifestyle thing Nice little vignette, well executed, vivid colors as always. Shame there's no monkeys in Mitgardia. Brick on! KB
  4. Yes! You did it again! Marvelous ship there, glorious shape, round and heavy. And a ship type not often seen in these waters. That almost fat lady... barely armed... will be easy prey for your xebecs As always, top notch "Dunkleosteus' ShipyardsTM" quality merchandise Dang them buildings, I need to get seaborne again... but wait, I've had my share of 'water' recently Keep it up... and don't stress your hardware too much (SPAI has an eye on you)! KB
  5. Spectacular! Can't take my eyes off of it Pointing out all the great things about it would take a very long while... but... the cliffs! I just couldn't resist mentioning them in particular This fort is worthy of an exibition! Brick on! KB
  6. Hey, did you notice? The thread title got changed... aaaaand we have a new Pirate Moderator on board! Glory to Phred! +1 +1 +1 Definitely interesting concept! That way territory could be won/defended long term. Additionally, some kind of mechanism could be implemented, making it harder to 'attack' long possessed territories than newly discovered lands, tributing the cultural heritage of regions. For example the 'quality' of a victory, like you would need a combined effort of MOCs to be able to achieve some sort of 'overwhelming' victory in a battle/challenge to take away core lands. I'm looking forward to what the development team comes up with. About that 'one island only'... I'd rather go with a concentric circle idea, the further away from the beacons of civilization, the more unknown and mythical. Works both for islands and sea regions. One island might not carry all the storylines possible. And after all, who has sailed all the seas knowing there wouldn't be other, even stranger realms far far away
  7. Hmm... why skip Gungans, they make a pretty decent stew ingredient, as Dr. Spock recently demonstrated. And thanks for clearing this up! Somehow something tells me you will actually MOC this Interesting thought. Such an 'enchanted region' could be a limiter. After all, we are not talking about the spiritual middle ages here, the world of BoBS would be much more enlightened, imo. But beyond the sea, in the still unknown, all kinds of things could be happening. I just have a little trouble seeing a bunch of Chima based characters or whatnot regularly walking through the capital of Corrington. But it's all a matter of explaination. That's the fun part of not knowing - wild speculation *grabs popcorn* Captain Claw being a cat better be not afraid of water... oh wait, this is intentional, since he and his bunch would be fighting even harder for not loosing their ship! Good thinking
  8. Hmm... this is mean... my mommy will hear about this!
  9. Choosing the Blue side would definitely fit your '100% awesome' philosophy Have you noticed how almost fatefully 'blue' rhymes with 'true'... so, 'The only True Side is the Blue Side' - should put that slogan up for registration somewhere...
  10. Hehe, this might very well be. But why not think out loud a bit, see what ideas there are. And if you browse through the MOC index, there are some creations featuring krakens and such. Recently, Vitreolum's 'LeChuck's Revenge' featured the famous voodoo shack... The ideas are out there
  11. Hi there, shamefully I have to admit, I never commented on your creation... I really like this little vignette, the SNOTty beach rock design is well executed, the waves effect is pretty decent... All in all a vivid scene Keep it up! Best regards, KB
  12. Hey, Sebeus is back! Great to see you finally introduce 'Lucretia' to us. Looking very good, bit of a shame she's supposed to be your last prefab based ship. I've always adored your style of prefab hull ship building. But since you slimmed her down from a battleship to 'just' a pirate vessel, I can only assume you have big plans all ahead full BTW, 'GUILDS of the Brick Seas'... you should know better Best regards, KB
  13. Amazing vessel, Simon! Most amazing even, since it's your first ever pirate ship! What a splendid creation The custom hull looks just right, the sails are a delight, and your 'seaborne' use of colors is as excellent as it is on shore. The only things I'd suggest would be larger fighting tops, and 'more' shrouds. Keep up the amazing work, would love to 'sea' more of your creations here!
  14. That anchor wielding guy is hilarious! Wouldn't want to mess with him
  15. Never seen so many 'B' in a single comment This clearly qualifies for at least a 'B+'
  16. Ruling inhabitant of Nocti and member of the Rebel Alliance... That sort of points in a certain, rather 'free-spirited' direction The maximum of magic I could imagine at the moment is at the level of PotC. I wouldn't want to see a 'documentary style only' kind of setting, it might be a bit dull all without mythical creatures and such. IMO PotC already stretches out pretty far, but beyond that I think it would get tricky to control this 'Pandora's box of magic' once opened too far. Magic in GoH is a controversial thing, taming its excesses difficult. PotC might offer a reasonable limit for our purposes.
  17. 'Retract, not remove'... great reference Thank you for this investigative review, it's well written, features good pictures, both in terms of quality and shown perspectives. Two thumbs up Concerning the ship itself, I do like it. However, the triangular sail being printed only on one side and the issue with the unclosable gunports are major design flaws in my eyes, too. How this could pass TLG's quality reviews remains a mystery... Fortunately, TBB has features to make up for this. Best regards, KB
  18. Took a three and a half days' bath in digital water - feeling refreshed :D

  19. Thanks a bunch for these, you're most helpful! Looks like material for 'The Great Pirate Torso Library'.
  20. These banners are just great. (Almost) oldies, but goldies... Concerning the leaders of the factions... snoop around a little and there are some hints. A very famous member of these shores even has some impressions of what 'Oleon' might look like on his Brickshelf. But it could also be part of a disinformation policy... So, nothing is certain, until they reveal themselves, which hopefully will be soon
  21. Top! Very much love that distillery. And Klinger rules!
  22. Wow, what a collection! My childhood self would have worshipped you... especially with these... sets 'from the future'
  23. Awesome design! And a proper size considering minifig scale, isn't it? Cannot wait for the version with sails. Maybe add a small cannon, which was quite common. Oh, I saw a MONKEY on one of the linked pages, that might raise some people's attention even more Brick on!
  24. Wow, thank you very much for this offer. I'd be definitely interested in all the bluecoat related items... should be the admiral's outfit and bicorn, the daughter's clothes and the small flag left. Great work on these designs Best regards, KB
