Are there also parameters or something to influence the resolution to which the result is being rendered? Update: Easy, in the config file. Works much better than Povray indeed. Much faster. Only two things in 0004 that I don't think work well: lights on vehicles become too dark. Road plates have turned into ice plates ;)

If he fails we could also thing about an open source alternative with the community (that I would happy to let him produce of course ;)).

Any tips for Restoring adhesive strength of 90s 9V train stickers?
JopieK replied to jaesroe's topic in LEGO Train Tech
For this sticker you could even use plain white vinyl although we print it with white (two layers) on transparent vinyl. -

How could I get some infos for MOC train buildings?
JopieK replied to jaesroe's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Of course they are and the German word is "Stellwerk" because old signals had cables, so it literally means "adjustment mechanism". -

They look like German buildings. Not sure if the builders are German, but the buildings are. Faller has also buildings like that for Model Railroads: http://www.faller.de...-Bahnbuden.html This is a LDD version: http://www.flickrive...ale/8172859605/ Also a nice one: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=52911 A good search term is "stellwerk": stellwerk lego This might be what you are looking for, not free though: link This LDD version might be even better: http://www.frantzen....tellwerk-v1.zip And what to think from this: http://www.1000stein...ntry=1&id=43354 He has a LDraw MDP file. -
They look nice Zephyr!

Looks very nice zephyr!

Very nice Barduck! You did a great job. 7 is also a nice number for the width of the cars!

A PF train motor has a fairly large magnet, I use that to detect trains using a reed sensor. @freestorm, it could indeed be a case of shielding by the metal power rail, but you could mount the reed as far to the wheels as possible to make a decent detection.

Enlighten is a clone brand so it goes in here :)

Mindstorms is just not that good. It is suitable for building a FIRST LEGO League robot but not for controlling a lot of stuff like a LEGO railroad with more than one or two trains.
-
I don't agree, detecting trains is very easy, using reed sensors for point detection and RFID for identification this is not an issue at all. Mindstorms is not a good solution since it is very expensive and too inflexible. I use Teensy 3.1 arduino derivates.

Together with a colleague I'm trying to get the bridge from the computer to my Arduino system done. The interface is already working, but sending messages to the system seems to be a bit a challenge :) Scheduling will be indeed quite a challenge, but it is very doable. The combination of a "break up" layout and scheduling like I do is the most difficult, most model railroaders just have a fixed layout or larger modules.

Not sure about the M-motor, but... I use a servo to run it!
