Would be great to avoid traffic jams. One only needs to be careful about other train traffic.
-
Indeed! A lot of nostalgia in those videos too ;)
-
Time to open source the firmware so we can help them solve such a problems.

Haha, seems you are suffering the same illness as TLG @Toastie as they also don't seem to know where to put their train stuff (City, Powered Up, Harry Potter). Custom parts are no issue at all I think. 1000steine has put additional rules for MoC of the month entries of course, but I would say when it contributes to Train Tech and mosts parts are LEGO it would be totally fine.

Very nice! I had that set as a child.

@LEGO Historian would certainly be interested!

Nice find! Do you have them on your BL wishlist? Crazy prices even for us train enthusiasts.

LEGO Ideas Comes Through - The Train Station: Studgate

Very nice to see indeed! My order was submitted :) -
Welcome @EWay to Eurobricks in general and Train Tech in particular! Nice train that shows that lime green can be very appealing for a train if you use it correctly ;)

I do have normal drivers as STL, boxpok are a little bit more advanced I think.

Adding motors, lights and sensors to a single hub
JopieK replied to Desvejk's topic in LEGO Train Tech
It should be possible, but be careful to not draw too much current per channel from the driver IC I would say. -
They just might have made new moulds and then they would add improvements. From aesthetics viewpoint the stud is an obvious place, but it will affect the LEGO logo. Maybe also the flow of ABS would be better so overall part quality would increase. But I am not a industrial product designer so maybe those are the ones that can better answer it. (@dr_spock beat me to it, but we both think the same...)

You can say something in an old topic, but some people revive very old topics not to really add something useful to it but just to say "cool" (or something like that). So e.g. you created a topic in 2020 on your project, it went dead for quite some time but now you want to share updates on it, that would be perfectly acceptable! Think about what your goal is: do you think you can substantially add to the old topic making it worth reviving or do you want to 'up' your post count (e.g.) and add cool to hundred old topics. Of course sometimes there is a fine line, and different people might have different opinions :) See also:

Very nice ideas! I think LEGO should have better considered the color/design combination and you give some very interesting suggestions. Their current scheme could work but with a different design like yours on the right. Luckily are we AFOLs often not that limited in modding, so already some great suggestions to make a much nicer version.

Well it is of course fine to share your Ideas project, but it was your first post, so I think you can improve on it to show more angles / details / etc and adding a link then would be ok I think. Those wheels are a neat idea b.t.w. maybe print them as a prototype, go to a maker space / FabLab or let shapeways do it for you in case you don't own your own printer?!
-
Yup it is not an original one (I don't think that matters though :))
-
Thank you for joining Eurobricks and Train Tech. Very nice model with a lot of nice details. Are those large wheels original LEGO or? Apart from that: read our rules and don't join Eurobricks to use it just as an Ideas billboard.

@HoMa sounds like a very plausible reason! I also had the 7823 with red pins (back in the days when I was a kid already).
-
@Toastie / @andythenorth, the URL's are fine I would say, but if we would have a topic (if I remember correctly the official EB stand is it should be in Community) on non-LEGO brands that would obviously be a better place. Who is inspired by who is indeed also very difficult. We could argue that LEGO also copied the design 10277 (and the EN), but if we want more realism I guess most of us copy designs.
-
I also don't think there was a 7777 sticker sheet indeed.

Let's keep it about "LEGO Trains 2022" not about knock-offs :)

Really nice to make the tree stem out of those "Round 1 x 1 with Flower Edge" pieces! I think they look much better than the old stems (and also cheaper :))- 12 replies

That is indeed a great looking train as well. The Japanese know what they are doing with their train system (we should let all NS/Prorail people take internships their ;)). (Uh, you know that a 9V metal wheels motor does not need batteries b.t.w. don't you? ;))

Maybe I should have made myself a little clearer, a specialized physical hospital close to our university does the pirate project, at my university we try to involve students in Health Technology projects, so I am only a linking pin. They will apply for at grant (from the LEGO Foundation), so hope that they will succeed so we can involve a lot of students and help them create a better future for disabled kids. It was heartbreaking to hear from some of the nurses that children in Eastern European countries are just lying in their beds and get all kinds of deformaties that could be prevented just by letting them play!
