ABS is a thermoplast so you could even try to use a heated blade or a laser cutter.

They won the bid for a way too low price so no wonder that they keep breaking down. -
1920's Birney Safety Car - heavy 10308 MOD - real world MOC model
JopieK replied to Murdoch17's topic in LEGO Train Tech
No problem. I think it is a great idea. We have previously seen nice trams but you gave a nice twist to 10308 and apparently also inspire people including @Jack Sassy to contribute real life tram ideas :)- 9 replies

BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas
JopieK replied to koraldon's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That is the Dutch-Belgian AnsaldoBreda debacle, apparently the Danish did not do their research either?! Now the Dutch have a new public traffic disaster: electric buses from BYD (some Chinese company). They suffer from a lot of issues including just breaking down at the highways. Here is some Google Translated info on the Fyra: https://www-nicospilt-com.translate.goog/index_fyra.htm?_x_tr_sl=nl&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp Livery is quite nice I think and even the design of the locomotive isn't too bad, a hint of Shinkansen. -
Very nice cute little station @Ravelino!

Great find!!! Maybe you should apply for a grant for that project. Legacy computing... -
Haha I just read your suggestion only after hitting the "Pin" button: so great idea!

BREAKING: The Orient Express Train approved in LEGO Ideas

Hope we get decent parts. If you reconsider and make a < 8-wide MOD and post it in here... We would have never dreamt of TLG accepting a train after so many great ones were rejected in Ideas! -

Very nice job @0815Tanaka. Looks great! @BillytheKid, you might have a point, but for me it is mainly sentiment from my youth ;).

Very nice idea and WIP @evancelt. The small locomotive is also very nice.

It was some experimental LEGO sets (lighting kits) that were promoted in specific brand store (including Copenhagen if I remember correctly).

Really nice part usage! Marvelous job!

[MOC] Greater Winnipeg Water District GE 44-Ton Switcher
JopieK replied to Supplement_Creatif's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I don't think it is that clear-cut, but at least some people won't appreciate if you bump topics that are older than a year just to say "Cool MOC!" I guess. @Toastie: well if you have e.g. your own topic on your layout and make some update even after some years that would be totally legit I think. Or you could just create a new one and link to the old one. Most problematic are new users that ask for instructions :) -
Welcome to Eurobricks, but please read the rules and try to follow them.

Works really well, I also do it like this. B.t.w. if you experiment a little with it you find out that to detect motors you don't need additional magnets, but of course it depends on what you want to detect.

Very nice. I also like the scenery and the workers that are digging.
