  1. I thought that chimpanzee never really matched the Lego-verse, always considered it out of the place and ugly. Was there a certain research or something proving that it's that much enjoyable? I may not be novadays kid and a member of a target group, still, i don't find the monkey unfinished. Lego was always cool and so playable because of it's simplicity. Giving everything new colors, eyes and details is only turning this whole franchise into Playmobile. I don't mind some changes, even major ones, but seriously, redesigning the good stuff is absolutely pointless.
  2. That's just how it is with internet culture novadays, no only here. Sadly people are somewhat lazy to comment on the good and fan-made stuff, and what would give us a reason to work and improve. On the other hand they prefer to write thousands of pointless posts, for example those regarding that "Brick Bounty" name case. Mods are the ones that should cut the neverending crap and force people to concentrate on other things, on activities that woudl actually develop someting. But chaing users' mentality is always a hard thing.
  3. Simple yet very lovely story. Great work on backgrounds again. And to You the truth, this FUTURE looks a lot like our own, novadays world. Perhaps without "freedom" androids but it resembles 2000s in a lot of ways. Man, we really need to send someone back in time to change few things
  4. I really like the script a lot, brings some classy old comedy adventure type of laugh, reminds me of the "Carry on" serries a bit A great unaware hero, unware of both the enemy that he crushed, and unaware of his idiocy Great work with that background again! And I love some of Your creations. These artilery wagons look like a good idea to me. On the other hand, man those minifigures of Your are seriosuly clean, they look almost shiny It took my hours to wash my pieces and coudln't achieve that nice effect
  5. thumbs up for some good ideas and that great background. I especially like this jungle behind Agent 1815. To say more, that rock on the panel 3 looks like if You would actually use a real one, like they did with old classic Lego packaging. What type of editing program did You use? And with moving bush scene - did someone help You with that while You kept Your camera in the same position or did You use some kind of a stand?
  6. Severly lacking what? Monkey was without a doubt the coolest animal in the whole Pirate theme, and one of the best within the whole Lego universe. I still prefer old parrot to that new speckled one, old shark to that new oversized one, old matte epaulettes to those new shiny ones and so so. From what it looks, it seems that they're chaning lots of things just to change it, for not a specific reason really, because there is this "fashion" of remodelling everything from time to time. Being old doesn't necessarily mean that it's outdated and needs a redesign. And it's not because i'm sentimental and can't see changes everywhere and within Lego itself. It's just that some things are still good and fresh, even if decades have past To say more I'd rather be lazy and keep all of the old designs, than waste time on creating needless things like those frogs, that don't resemble anything and are completely useless in the universe. Crabs and snakes are a little bit funnier but do we really need them? A fish is a pretty good addition on the other hand, cause it looks nice, classy, and there's lots of things one could do with eat. Rost over fireplace, or catch it, whatever... What I mean is, 20 years ago everything added to Pirate theme had it's reason, was rather obvious. It all worked well and looked well together. You can't really say that about new Lego sets.
  7. Is she beaten by her husband or what?
  8. All of the POTC sets? Did these come at the same time. Sadly I do own any of them. Were a little bit too expensive for me at that time, not mentioning that human SKIN was rather repelling for me. EDIT: I've just realized one thing - where the hell is a MONKEY? There is no monkey! Not a sinle one. Maybe the're preparing a big monkey offensive with another wave
  9. So, are we all here buying the whole thing as soon as it comes out? Or is anyone objecting? There's not that many of them and looking at the possible prices its gonna cost around... 160 $ to get all of them. Which is not bad at all. Still, these are original prices so in "less lego-lized" countries such as Poland they should be twice that expensive. Well, le'ts hope not, but i'd rather buy 50 of them at the original prizes than just like 10 sets with a large markup. Still, I would gladly exchange 100 of these new sets for like 20 of classic ones... there's still something magical missing in both design and packaging. You Jerries just remember not to buy all of these sets before we'll even have a chance to put our hands on them
  10. Damn, that's big And I thought that having twenty soldiers is much Seriously could borrow at least a dozen of them from You would change much in Your collection, still having less forces one to invent certain shots, to hide the fact that there's only a couple of minifigures, apparently You don't have this kind of problem here But how did You manage to get them all? Did You buy a whole bunch of them ( soldiers ) somewhere? Or did You simply get them with certain sets. But this way You would have like twenty ships and islands or so Makes me wonder - did someone actually count how many figures came with ALL Pirate sets all together? I mean, how minifigures one would have if managed to buy all the sets?
  11. Seriously have many parrots do You have there? Like twenty or something I didn't realize that these were available with so many sets. I mean, cause You obviously had lots of different sets, not just 20 boxes of battle packs Am i right that this tree resembles a man's had a bit?
  12. Can we still update this thread. There's more replica ships "on the market" and much more to come. Like one of my all time favorites that I guess could be indexed - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neptune_(galleon) The ship was built to act in Roman Polanski's movie "Pirates", where it's seen as a spanish man of war. It's not a replica of a specific ship, but was based on authentic plans of spanish galleons from that historic period... and... well looks beautifully to me. Lot's of pictures to see here: https://www.google.pl/search?q=neptune+galleon&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=912&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=w_2GVLi3O5DWapfOgcgN&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ
  13. I'll tell You i've surprised myself too Way too many things happened in my life during those months that have passed since the first part. And to say the truth I was kind of dissapointed that people weren't very eager to comment on my work. Still, I've realised it's been a lot of fun, and that I want to make them for myself, not mentioning that one should end things that he started. Otherwise it would be a total waste of time and effort. Well, glad I've been able to surprise You, and in a good way There's more to come. I'll make shorter episodes this time. Like 10-11 panels or so, instead of 30-something, so they'll be easier and better too read and enjoy
  14. So, is there more coming? It's always a pleasure to see a nice pirate story. I'd change their shirts though, they look kind of womenly to me, with those chests, it reminds me of a nightgown a bit
  15. Wow. Nicely done man I won't say more than other guys, because they've already said what should be said, but I'll add that i seriously love that staircase. Looks great to me And even such a small detail like those muskets. They really look nice in grey on this picture, still I've probably wouldn't like them in real sets though
  16. Nicely done! They do remind of good old classic simple Castle sets. I'd love to see an official box like that featuring a battle between two small vessels.
  17. So the last one is gonna be a full pirate ship itself? Naah, of course not, but usually there is something bigger and more attractive at the very end, so i guess You're gonna put something realy nice in box nr 24 Still, there's plenty to go, monkeys, sharks, crocodiles, ladies, even boats and canoes perhaps... depending whether or not its gonna be a big one Have You already made an entire list though, or are completely improvising?
  18. Thanks for all the comments guys, and Part 2 is already there to see Better late than never
  19. That's exactly why Ugha volunteered for this mission! Thanks for reading and for a nice comment
  20. Hi guys! So it's been almost two years... no... damn... it's been two years since TOR III and I've just realized that I still have some comics that I've made back then but I didn't have time to edit... so I've recently sat again to finish them, and here You have an another episode complete. The story of Mazin and his brave "Marauders" will continue, as I have more of them coming. So please sit back, relax and enjoy the show Leave Your comment whether You like it or not. O! And for those who would like to start with the first Episode here is a link for Ya! http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=81088 --------- Check other episodes under these links: ToW Part 1: Code of Uniform http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=81088
  21. Right... and so You think that EVERYONE here HAS to say it loud and clear that TLG has chosen the wrong name? Probably shouldn't even comment that quote... if you have something to say use arguments, not boorishness. It wasn't very polite. People used to be banned because of use of such words.
  22. JC! ... Everybody knows that they took a silly name, but just tell me - how many more posts/days/years do You guys want to spend discussing this idiotic matter?? There're some more important things goind on Pirates Forum yet surprisingly this topic gets more attention
  23. Cor Blimey!

  24. There've been plenty of these Yellow guys in space sets and I've never found them to be "naked" + "yellow coats" doesn't mean that they would wear that color only + that's simply just one of the colors to be taken under consideration... it would defenitely suit those soldiers better than black... which is always popular but kind of overshadowing everything. This picture below could also give us another idea - that we should take it under consideration whether Guards could consist of different units with different colors - like infantry, marines, cavalery etc... That would work well if we had a cartoon to promote those elements... And I agree with You on those crackers... Problem with smuggling and trade is that kids don't really know the value of spices and other "silly" goods... Looking for stuff both merchants and smugglers would like to smuggle and posses, be rich of we should look for things KIDS would like to be rich of... We can always take it with a pinch of salt and make them fight over toys
  25. Still, we ought to have more choices. It's not about having too many of them, it's simply about having more than just 2 or 3. I'm just worried that most of voters here are kind of lazy and won't think of other possible paterns themselves and so will go for popular options... Orange might be the best choice and TLG might love it... or they might not... we have to take our chances and think this matter over and over again...
