Welcome to Ameribricks.com - Major Changes Coming!
Artifex replied to Shadows's topic in Forum Information and Help
I think the site is good the way it is. I don't think it should be centered on Americans, Europeans or people from any other continent. We come here to talk about Lego. If you are thinking about changing the name and address of EuroBricks, then change it to something else instead of this or that point of view -- make it GlobalBricks, WorldBricks, Uni(versal)Bricks or something along those lines. I'm not European, i'm not American (at least not in the way people usually mean it -- for I'm SOUTH American) and just by checking on people's countries, I'd say Eurobricks is a global, universal communitiy, not a community centered on this or that culture. Mind you: I have no problem whatsoever with Americans, Europeans, Asians or with people from any other place/people/culture/background, but I don't think the focus of the site should be this or that people/culture. The world has been -- and still is -- moving to new, borderless days -- especially since the internet -- and to change the name of a forum/website to one that focus on this or that culture is a step back in my humble opinion. And so we chould go global, universal, not narrow it to this or that point of view. -
Seconded!

Wow, awesome!

Wow! This is looking awesome! Although I do like the old one a lot, this new one is just as great -- it's different than the other one, just like a modular building is from a regular one. They are both cool their own ways. But this MOC is just fabulous!

I let the last cranes slip buy, so I'm glad we are getting a new one. The street sweeper looks neat too, so I'm happy with it (I have the 8404 Public Transport one and I think they are two different things that go well in the same city). Overall, I like the new bikeshop, it's much better than the 7641 City Corner one and although I like the design of the new pizzaria, I like the old one better. I wonder why they have used the lime green for it. Yellow, orange and lime green seem to have been used for some specific aspects of city in the past few years. Oh, on second thought, I get it! Or I guess I do... I think they are going with lime grren for the pizzaria because eating pizza is a leisure type of thing, like travelling (lime green bus from 8404 and the 7639 Camper).

Anyone got a side-by-side Creator Houses display?

Wow, thanks, guys! -
Very nice modifications, scottwb2010! My only question is: how do the minifigs get in the open spaces in the side of the building?

I think we'll probably get a service station next. I said this in another thread: the next modular is going to be a cinema. I was following the "town plan logic" -- first a town hall, then a cinema. The next modular should be a service station. But I don't think we'll get a modular service station, so I bet we'll get a "regular" service station later this year or maybe the next. With a pizzaria and a bike shop, wow! The pizzaria and the bike shop seem feasible, as it's been some time since we got a bike shop and a pizzaria (that's from 2009). The bus goes well with a service station, pizzaria and bike shop (I hope they throw in a bus stop too!). Although the last bus was lime green, I really like the new red one. In my town, I'll use the yellow bus for commuting, the lime green one for interstate travel, and the red bus for intercity commuting. I guess this will Town Square will be a very nice set!

Another 7498 Mod.... Modular sized police station
Artifex replied to BrissyBrickGuy's topic in LEGO Town
It looks very cool! Coincidence or not, yesterday I woke up this morning thinkin on how to make a bigger, modular scale Police Station and bang -- here is your post. Also, only yesterday I openned a topic for pics of Creator Houses side-by-side. That's too with one stone! -
Has anyone got a side-by-side Creator House display? Or maybe Creator Houses in a Lego Town? I've bee wondering how they would look side-by-side or in a Lego Town.

Awesome emergency station! I like the exterior, but the interior... It's so full of details! Nice station for those cool-looking 4-wide vehicles!

LT, it's been a few years following your MOCs. Taking all your work into account, all I got to say is: You are a true artist of the brick.

Thanks a lot for the pics! The set looks very good. I'm no train expert, so I'll just talk about what I like and I do like this set

I think these new sets will be as modular as the Kingdoms ones. the side walls from a second castle could connect to the main gatehouse ones so you can have a large front. The gatehouse and towers of a second castle could be used to make four towers, one on each corner. Remember that then you can have a catapult on each side of the castle. The back tower could go together for a larger keep, I guess. And the gatehouses could be used for a bigger structure as well. That's just for 2 castles. Throw in the gatehouse set and you can have it in front of or behind the castle's gatehouse for better defenses. Or the gatehouse set could be used as a side entrance. There are many possibilities, I guess.

Remeber the Medieval Market Village was a Castle set

I believe ther are a couple of stickers in the tower panels.

This may sound like a stupid question, but is the Castle's gray the same gray of Kingdoms? I mean, are the wall pieces the same gray of Kingdoms?

Any chance this set will still be available in January 2013?
