Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Artanis I replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I only want to see the sets from movies/shows that are already out. I don't want to see any sets from a future movie/TV season yet (until it releases, then I want to see all of the sets from it at once) -
Adventure Time gets war elephants before Lord Of The Rings... 10181 Eiffel Tower

Astromechs aren't usually included as minifigs, not that I agree with that.

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!

$50 off the Sandcrawler, that is okay. Dimensions discounts towards the end of the catalogue too. Also, Toyworld catalogue snuck in, Nexo polybag 30373 with $50 of Nexo purchases. They have the Detective's Office & Winter Toy Shop. Brick Bank, Detective's Office & Ferrari F40 spotted in Myer ahead of their sale. -
Anyone going to this movie with high expectations regarding plot/script or the usual things that movie fans are into is going to be disappointed. The story is of the original game from 1994. Blizzard has the tendency to create interesting fantasy worlds for their games (with not necessarily great stories - but pretty good compared to most traditional computer games), and have always put a lot of work into the visuals in their cut-scenes. This was only ever going to be good looking, with lots of action and blood & guts, and something for long-time fans to enjoy. Considering the current version of the game is so popular, it may still do well enough. I hope it warrants making the 2nd & 3rd game into movies, and the MMO. But ultimately I want them to make Starcraft. Wishful thinking, but you never know... Transformers got 4 (awful) movies.

I started only getting sets for clones & jedi minifigs, then getting some sets for both the model & minifigs, but in the absence of proper space and castle themes I now buy sets for the model or minifigs. And BL a few rare minifigs from big sets. -

I actually tried watching Yellow Submarine again recently, it was incredibly painful. If not for the fact that I enjoy the songs I would be viciously annoyed at the 90 minutes robbed from my life. Other than Magical Mystery Tour, this would have to be the worst possible Beatles set to exist. -
LEGO 2000 sets from 1978 till 2014 for sale
Artanis I replied to Koenta's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I don't speak dutch but from what I can tell the starting bid is 40 thousand euros? 80 thousand for "buy-it-now"? That's a few years of my salary... All those trains though... -
LEGO Dimensions Physical Brick Discussion
Artanis I replied to Transparency for Effect's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, I know, but most of the interest from members tends to be for the game, so anything relevant to both topics tends to be discussed there instead. Which is why this thread is relatively quiet, despite it being my only interest in Dimensions, due to not having and not wanting to buy a console. If anyone has news on any new Lego parts or minifigs coming out - I don't read the other thread, post away!- 527 replies

This is for discussing the physical Lego that comes with Dimensions, not the game.- 527 replies

Do they actually have red stripes? I thought the shiny red on their armour/helmet was just the reflection of the interior light in the TIE. -
Headlights! Can't believe I never thought of that before. I don't have the airport monorail (I stuck with space only) so I didn't realise it had no lights

Thanks. I did get a bit rough with it a couple of times and the inner frame came apart at the corner. I don't know if the weight was much of a factor or just me getting too aggressive trying to get the ball unstuck.

That was the original question - is that set the first - and the answer is of course "no". I didn't realise the pilot minifig was female before. But considering the source... I don't know why I didn't. -

Some of it seemed to sell well, and I liked the designs of the ships. This set was cheap and very hard to find in stock (I'd have bought a nice fleet if I could find them): Conversely this set was everywhere for a long time after everything else was looong gone: As others have mentioned, the trans white was a bit disappointing, and the alien bugs didn't appeal to many. I think it suffered in that it was a bit between an "action theme" and a "space theme", and therefore didn't become much of a hit with either target audience. Also, the space men were not generic like the space themes of old, they were unique named characters (something I don't like). I think all space themes will suffer to a significant degree while SW Lego is still popular (especially now that there is constant new media for it), the reason being, the kids and parents recognise the SW models but not this stuff, even though it is cheaper and has original design.

Thanks. The inclusion of the ball collection feature was what led to the non-square nature of the build in the first place, and the answer to the question "how to incorporate that into a castle?" seemed pretty clear
-
Very nice idea, good work. If the white parts on the outside could be grey or black I think the maze & tilt system would look better together.
