In case you were not aware, I was talking about the Australian price in relation to the US price. Both were/are $30USD and $60AUD. That is the worst that Lego price comparisons ever get, SW or otherwise. As the Rogue One sets get bigger, the price comparison is better.

Have they been giving and receiving feedback with others during this time? If not, they may no longer be with us or are out of action somehow.

I reckon a large factor was that the squads were too small. (Not that it was feasible to release many more sets.) Otherwise they should've picked one (or maybe two) and made all of the sets with those colours.

City churns out the same thing every few years, it's still hugely popular with long-time fans and the new kids. Could Ninjago be the same?

Well, the Hovertank price is rubbish (as was the Snowspeeder last year) but it gets less bad / better as the sets get bigger.

Can't believe I missed this before, but maybe you did too! (ends today, btw) 15% off click & collect items on Myer & Target ebay (any others?) INCLUDING Batcave, Hoth & other new sets if you feel unlucky about any better discounts. Not great, but it's better than S@H double points - which was all I thought we'd get now that Target don't do sales. TIE is already $20 off if you want that, it comes to 20% off over all.

October double-points is usually all markets. Maybe by buying it during "VIP only" you have a better chance of not missing out... or because TLG saves some money due to the "gotta-get-it-day-one" people who won't wait.

Has anyone seen the Vader's TIE etc set anywhere? (Or any Rebels sets for that matter - I know the Frigate is TRU in USA so probably the same here eventually)

I am expecting maybe $850 or probably $900. 4->7 translates as 5->8.75, and our prices have risen this year vs US prices.

Perhaps some prayers will be answered

Were there not 2 cars on the Ideas submission? 1 car with colour options for body kits or something would've been cool. (Before anyone says "so? Just buy the extra parts yourself, it's Lego" - if the entire model is in the "wrong" colour to start with there's little point buying the set too! )

^ opinions are divided on whether submitting something that is a great build is worth wasting your time on, since anything already made by TLG (at whichever scale) is [able/never going] to be released as an Ideas set. The kid's response: "Why yes, it is significantly different, it consists primarily of 2x4 bricks on a huge grey baseplate and has a sand dune background rendered from LDD..."

It looks a bit stumpy? Not as keen on the yellow. Nice set, but I would rather see it released in the other colours. Is it definitely only this 1 car?

All I know about it is on this page: https://www.dreamworld.com.au/things-to-do/lego So, PAB wall, exclusive items, lifesize models, accessible from inside & outside the park etc. Opens in November. Not sure how similar it will be to typical North American & European Lego stores.

On the plus side there are 4 stormtroopers, all with helmets (including the heroes in disguise). I never got the old one (I struggle to justify spending that much money on 1 set), definitely won't get this one either, especially since the price will be at least $100 more for the same set. BL the droids.
