The disconnect or afk moments are only made worse by those games where the character eventually automatically walks back to base in a really casual manner

Should be the English national sport instead -
The quality is still the same. The embellished detail is different.

Lego Catalogs from Japan or Australia?
Artanis I replied to moschino's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I haven't forgotten about this, just haven't been able to get some time to do it yet. After skimming through it all, I have the full catalogues in English from 1990-1998 (sadly not 1989 when Pirates launched), some with local (horrible) prices, and the smaller catalogues from 1989 with no text, 1990 with English/French/Dutch, 1992, 94 & 95 in English and probably Japanese. I also have various single sheet versions that were inside sets from 1987-1995 with no text. Those were probably just the Europe sheets though. -
I really enjoyed this episode, what with all the TCW feel. All those droid sounds that have been out of the show for a while. It seems strange to call it nostalgia though, it's not that long ago! I didn't even notice that!

Ghostbusters (the new one). It was concurrently so bad & good that it was average in the end, which is too bad, because no one cares about average films. A lot of the jokes did nothing for me, but some made me laugh. I didn't think the originals were amazing movies either (but very cool premise). I did watch the cartoons back in the 80s, I liked the one based on the earlier TV show (Filmation) more than the one based on the movies (Real) though. I'm glad i'm not the only one to notice that. They practically used the same design. When I first saw Nightmare... I thought he looked a bit "borrowed", but then that ghost resemblance isn't original to Ghostbusters anyway. Very popular example would be the other ghosts from this franchise:

I didn't know about it until I was there yesterday. Couldn't find any 2 sets the same price to make it worthwhile, besides grabbing 2 TIE strikers. In the end it's only 20% off. And Friends/City/SH(?) is 20% off anyway. -

Funny. Lighting in space is hardly any different at night time from day... and all those stars, surely you could get a little bit of solar power from them. For me, the weirdest thing about TIEs is that they go "YEEEEEEEEEOOOOORRRRRR frap frap frap BOOOM" in a space vacuum According to that image 4 posts before yours... -

The reason heaps of sets came out for it that year was because Lucasfilm was going to release 3D versions of Episode II & III then (having already done Episode I), but Disney bought SW and ditched that, instead deciding to make 6 new movies. The Lego sets were already designed and in production, so they came out with no accompanying cinema promotion (sadly for TLG). -
Firstly, the bricks are there if you browse the subforum, in the activity feeds you see circles and stars instead. Secondly, if you click on "activity", "unread content" then use the following options you should get as close to the old way as possible: "show me: items only" "content types: all content" "read status: unread" "ownership: everything" "following: everything" "time period: since my last visit" "sorting: newest first" The limitation with that is if you click back from a topic to the unread content feed again, that topic disappears from the list. Unlike the old forum where it still sat there but appeared as read. A bit annoying really, but I haven't been able to find a way around it.

Lego Catalogs from Japan or Australia?
Artanis I replied to moschino's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I found the box with my old Aussie catalogues, I believe they date from 89 to 99 or so. I've written all over them as a kid and they are very used. They aren't for sale or give away, but I could scan them. -
Great parts - but that background is making me go blind!!!
-
The imgur links are dead because TLG/Disney had the images taken down

What would be the play features of the quadjumper? Press a button and it breaks into a million parts?
-
^ and it's like that thing where people go around Youtube etc "subscribe to my channel". If I (no, not me) support & comment on everyone else's stuff, then it'll come back around and I'll get to 10000 with this substandard project of mine
-
Yes they are

List doesn't seem right to me either. Are we sure that Tyler hasn't been up to tricks again? Hoth Bricks are pretty good so maybe TLG is feeding false information to see where the leaks are. The quadjumper is such a pointless set, the minifigs are all available in current sets and most should reappear in Episode VIII sets. List is missing UCS Cloud City, Yoda's Hut, Jedi Temple and MF re-release...

Does anyone else read this anymore? Anyway, another Myer sale: 20% off until Sunday. Does not include the Porsche or CMFs. Double VIP points on S@H until the end of the month, according to the website, but not sure if that's for us or not (the previously advertised triple points turned out to NOT be for us). Yellow Submarine will be $80. -

On S@H, (not available yet though - of course) Australian price is $79.99. That's a pleasant surprise considering the US price, I was expecting something like $100. -
Half the fun is in putting them together for the first time! When they are already assembled it's a bit of a kill-joy
